— Ace It's about time.
I'm not sure if DU is entirely wrong to ask the Secret Service for subpoenas. After all, those who make threats against the lives of the President and other Republican figures are cherished members of the DU community of crazy.
I do hope those subpoenas issue, and quickly. Is the Secret Service serious about investigating death threats, or isn't it?
This is like my tenth Hot Air link today. What can I say. Allah's the man.
Incidentally... For those who occasionally make similar expressions here -- not only is it uncivilized, it's possibly illegal, and can get you into serious trouble.
So, you know, watch it.

— Ace Ah, the innocent mischief of those rascally YOUEE's (Youths Of Undetermined Ethnic Extraction).
Youths forced passengers off three buses and set the vehicles on fire overnight in suburban Paris, raising tensions Thursday ahead of the first anniversary of the riots that engulfed France's rundown, heavily immigrant neighborhoods.
I guess you could say the whores... I mean buses get "fucked to pieces."
The story uses a lot of euphemisms ("immigrants," etc.) but does at one point note that "many" of the "youths" are Muslims.
Many?
How many Christians, Jews, Buddhists, and Zorasterians have joined with the Muslim gangs, I wonder?
I didn't realize that extremist Muslims were so tolerant of interdenominational diversity.
Thanks to Rob.

— Ace First, it appears that HRC only "investigated" this matter due to a threat from Stop October Surprises:
clean about its role in this Republican gay outing campaign, it will be exposed on Friday:Open letter to Joe Solmonese:
It is your responsibility to rid the HRC of the SSP gang. It is important for you to do so; doing nothing is connivance. When I started this pursuit (or stumbled in), I knew nothing of the HRC or its mission. I am now thoroughly aware of how many people rely on the HRC to forward the rights of the LGBT community. Underhanded tactics of a few not only tarnish the organization but also its mission.
If you do not act, I will. Friday is your deadline or I name names.gtl
Update: So whoÂ’s calling? The MSM (main stream media), thatÂ’s who.
That post is now replaced by this one, which simply notes what we now all know, that HRC claims to have dismissed the employee.
Well, that's not all he says:
There is more to this story... It seems to me that the HRC has more work to do in this matter, and I communicated that message to Brad Luna.
A follow up post entitled "Next" says there's more than one guy involved in this:
I know there is more here and I've asked the HRC to come 100% clean. I am waiting patiently, but my patience is wearing thin...
Why don't you nice folks at the HRC do the right thing and get rid of the conspirators? -Emphasis added.]SSP: Come on, the offer stands, we can meet at Prontos.
I'm told that Protos is a restaurant in the Royal Oak area. I think I was told it's specifically a gay bar.
The Washington Times has a bit on this, crediting me as a "sleuth" who traced the blog to Royal Oaks, Michigan. Which isn't true, and I did write back to let them know that, that it was the commenter MikeZ or "Tommy" who did that, with a minor assist by me (i.e., suggesting he just buy the full version of SiteMeter to get the full IP). So I did attempt to correct.
A blog reader/commenter has more on this, and thinks he knows the identity of the SSP cat (as SOS does, too), but hasn't given me enough to run with it. I think I actually might have gotten an incomplete version of his data and analysis.
More... The New York Times, which couldn't seem to get enough of this story previously, has a very brief, minor bit about the revelation of the skullduggery behind the SSP site, and can't help itself but to put the focus again where it belongs:
In the aftermath of the scandal, the creator of the sex predators Web site declined requests sent by e-mail to identify himself. Instead, he posted a message urging the news media to ask questions about “when the Republican leadership knew about it, what they did, how they were connected, what favors took place, etc.”The posting continued: “The true hero here is the page who reported the e-mails in the first place.”
Yes, whatever we do, let's keep our eyes on the ball and only use our journalistic resources to dig into the important questions.
Note that the MSM went wild with the utterly-irrelevant disclusure that Foley had had sex with an adult priest. I say "irrelevant" because this obviously proves no pedophilia on Foley's part, which is the bad act justifying the inquiry. The fact that one closeted gay had sex with another closeted gay is irrelevant, unless you believe, as the MSM seemed to for a few days, that gay sex between consenting adults was reason for outrage as well.
On the other hand, the SSP disclosures are directly related to the actual story. And yet the MSM has no real interest.

— Ace Funny. But not as funny as it ought to be, given the current reality.
Last night, it was easy to see why. Baron Cohen hopped off his mule cart and declared: "Good evening gentlemen and prostitutes."Wearing a bright yellow jacket and jeans, and oversized sunglasses, he grabbed a microphone and invited the crowds to join him after the screening at his hotel in King's Cross, where "We will all drink, wrestle with no clothes on and shoot dogs from the window."
..
Lampooning Kazakhstan, Borat spoke warmly of the progress his home nation had made towards the modern world.
Such strides, he declared, as "women now permitted to travel on inside of bus" and "homosexuals no longer have to wear blue hats."
...
He also said he was hoping to meet Madonna after reading about her adoption of 13 month old Malawian boy David Banda.
"I have brought here with me my 11-year-old son, his wife and their new-born baby, who I am hoping to sell to singing transvestite Madonna," he said.
...
Borat has dismayed the Government of Kazakhstan with his claims that the country's national pastimes are "disco dancing, archery, rape and table tennis."
Are we sure he's from Kazakhstan?
Perhaps he means "Pakistan."

— Ace Uncovered meat. How charming.
In a Ramadam sermon in a Sydney mosque, Sheik al-Hilali suggested that a group of Muslim men recently jailed for many years for gang rapes were not entirely to blame. There were women, he said, who 'sway suggestively' and wore make-up and immodest dress "and then you get a judge without mercy and gives you 65 years. But the problem, but the problem all began with who?" he said, referring to the women victims.
Addressing 500 worshippers on the topic of adultery, Sheik al-Hilali added: "If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it..whose fault is it - the cats or the uncovered meat?
"The uncovered meat is the problem."
He went on: "If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab (veil), no problem would have occurred."
Women, he said, were 'weapons' used by Satan to control men.
Allah (n a post titled "Stop Making Us Rape You") wants to know how such beliefs, held by such a "tiny minority" of "extremists," could end up coming out of the mouth of a very senior figure in Australia's Islamic community.
But what everyone wants to know is-- can he be deported? Or jailed?
Yes, actually, he can.
A close associate of the sheik, Keysar Trad, said the speech was about adultery, not rape. "He wasn't talking about standard norms of dress in Australia or any country, he wasn't talking about the hijab, he was talking about people who engage in extramarital sex."But Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner Miss Pru Goward said there could be no backtracking over the comments. "He could be guilty of incitement to the crime of rape and should be deported," she said.
Just A Tiny Minority of Extremists Update: Yup, that's the ticket. In Sweden:
According to a new study from the Crime Prevention Council, Brå, it is four times more likely that a known rapist is born abroad, compared to persons born in Sweden. Resident aliens from Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia dominate the group of rape suspects. According to these statistics, almost half of all perpetrators are immigrants. In Norway and Denmark, we know that non-Western immigrants, which frequently means Muslims, are grossly overrepresented on rape statistics. In Oslo, Norway, immigrants were involved in two out of three rape charges in 2001. The numbers in Denmark were the same, and even higher in the city of Copenhagen with three out of four rape charges. Sweden has a larger immigrant, including Muslim, population than any other country in northern Europe. The numbers there are likely to be at least as bad as with its Scandinavian neighbors. The actual number is thus probably even higher than what the authorities are reporting now, as it doesn't include second generation immigrants. Lawyer Ann Christine Hjelm, who has investigated violent crimes in Svea high court, found that 85 per cent of the convicted rapists were born on foreign soil or by foreign parents.A group of Swedish teenage girls has designed a belt that requires two hands to remove and which they hope will deter would-be rapists. "It's like a reverse chastity belt," one of the creators, 19-year-old Nadja Björk, told AFP, meaning that the wearer is in control, instead of being controlled.
...
Some Muslim immigrants admit their bias quite openly. An Islamic Mufti in Copenhagen sparked a political outcry after publicly declaring that women who refuse to wear headscarves are "asking for rape." Apparently, he's not the only one thinking this way. “It is not as wrong raping a Swedish girl as raping an Arab girl,” says Hamid. “The Swedish girl gets a lot of help afterwards, and she had probably fucked before, anyway. But the Arab girl will get problems with her family. For her, being raped is a source of shame. It is important that she retains her virginity until she marries.”...
The number of rapes committed by Muslim immigrants in Western nations are so extremely high that it is difficult to view them only as random acts of individuals. It resembles warfare. Muhammad himself had forced sex (rape) with several of his slave girls/concubines. This is perfectly allowed, both in the sunna and in the Koran. If you postulate that many of the Muslims in Europe view themselves as a conquering army and that European women are simply war booty, it all makes perfect sense and is in full accordance with Islamic law. Western women are not so much regarded by most Muslims as individuals, but as "their women," the women who "belong" to hostile Infidels. They are booty, to be taken, just as the land of the Infidels someday will drop, it is believed, into Muslim hand. This is not mere crime, but ideologically-justified crime or rather, in Muslim eyes, attacks on Infidels scarcely qualify as crime. Western women are cheap and offensive. We Muslims are here, here to stay, and we have a right to take advantage of this situation. It is our view of the matter that should prevail. Western goods, like the land on which we now live, belong to Allah and to the best of men -- his Believers. Western women, too, essentially belong to us -- our future booty. No wonder there is a deep and increasing suspicion against Muslims in the Swedish and European public.
An interview with Swedish Muslim rapists reveals the following charming sentiment:
“It is far too easy to get a Swedish whore…… girl, I mean;” says Hamid, and laughs over his own choice of words. “Many immigrant boys have Swedish girlfriends when they are teenagers. But when they get married, they get a proper woman from their own culture who has never been with a boy. That’s what I am going to do. I don’t have too much respect for Swedish girls. I guess you can say they get fucked to pieces.”
Googling "Muslim" and "rape" reveals over 5,000,000 hits. Enjoy.
Some Aussies Have Had Enough: Rape as an acceptable form of multicultural expression:
[A medical academic] wrote: "My wife was a primary school teacher at a school in the Auburn area. In that time she saw a constant stream of racism, sexism and abuse [by Muslims towards non-Muslims] from many parents, especially men, but also by boys, some very young. This was allowed to continue by the NSW Department of Education under the guise of tolerance or multiculturalism. A community absolved of any social norms of behaviour, and completely insular, far more than any other we had worked with."[The "Uncovered Meat" sheikh] has also done us all a favour by exposing the denialism favoured in academic, legal and media circles, and by some members of the NSW Government, that there is no problem reconciling community standards about the way women are treated and the attitudes of many Muslims living in this society.
After no fewer than eight gang-rape trials involving Muslim defendants, and hundreds of incidents in which women have been insulted as "sluts" and "whores" by Muslim men, the charade is over. We have a problem.

— Ace Hugh Hewitt = Pharisees; Andrew Sullivan = Jesus.
Well, duh.
Allah finds Hewitt's Socratic method tedious. So do I, actually. I know what he's getting at, but I'd wish he'd just get to the point quicker: Andrew Sullivan simply redefines "true conservatism" as whatever Andrew Sullivan believes (at this moment); Andrew Sullivan redefines "true Catholicism/Christianity" as whatever Andrew Sullvan believes (this week).
Sullivan is pro-life, last time I checked. (But who can keep up with his "evolutions"?) From where did this belief come? His education was at elite British schools and Harvard; hardly bastions of pro-life sentiment. He grew up in Britain, which has the highest percentage of young teens having sex in Europe, and thus, we may presume, one the highest abortion rates, and one of the highest rates of the acceptance of abortion as a morally neutral act in Europe. His entire career has been spent in the mainline British and American press, again, a demographic nearly monolithically hostile to pro-life politics.
So where did his pro-life beliefs come from? Well, from his Catholicism, of course.
Every person takes inputs which shape his thinking from his upbringing and religious beliefs (or lack thereof) and schooling and the culture of the demographic he lives within. This is as true for Andrew Sullivan as it is for a "pathetic pendant" like, say, Hugh Hewitt. And yet Andrew Sullivan apparently distinguishes in his mind between "good religious morality" (anything he believes in from his religious upbringing, like the sanctity of unborn human life) and "Christianist extremism," which is anything he doesn't believe in (such as moral opposition to gay marriage).
Why? What's the difference, precisely? There is no difference, fundamentally, except Andrew Sullivan believes in one and finds the other "gob-smackingly vile."
And doubts about one's beliefs is a good thing, unless it's doubt about what Andrew Sullivan himself believes, in which case such doubts are bad, and anyone who doubts such beliefs is an authoritarian homophobe (and probably a racist, too).
Hewitt begins asking him if he has any doubts about his various beliefs at the end of the interview, and Sullivan pretty much just dodges them all, apparently pretending he doesn't understand the point Hewitt's making.
Sullivan doesn't have a political philosophy or religion; he just has an ever-updated What's Hot/What's Not list.
The parody with Lilieks is hysterical.
See-Dub has thoughts on it, too.

Except for this, where some stupid professor "debunks" the Vampire "myth" with "math:"
After only two and a half years the entire human population, according to simple math, would have become vampires. There would be no more humans for vampires to feed on by the year 1603.
Of course, the dummy ignores natural vampire population controls, such as accidental sunlight exposure, holy water, and wooden stakes, and the fact that if you kill the Head Honcho vampire, his minions will also expire.
An exponential reproduction formula doesn't work for any other creature on Earth, but its supposed to work for vampires? Riiiight.
Don't quite your day job, Professor Bozo.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Some excellent scientific minds are occupying the comments today.
Any power play made by vampires would see them genocided off the planet by angry food, which is why they hide thier true identity. -Entropy
Persuasive, but another possible scenario captures the imagination:
What would happen (given a few millennia at most), is that humankind would end up living on blood farms, their numbers carefully managed like livestock. -Scott
I don't doubt it. Whose bright idea was it, putting growth hormones in kids' milk, anyway?
Oh, that's just a side effect from the dairy practices. Mmmm Hmmm.
