Updated: Harry Reid's Corruption; John Dennis' New Ad
— Ace They keep saying it. Almost like they agreed behind the scenes this was a really good meme to push.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said last week that Democrats' biggest failure in this election has been to not adequately sell their accomplishments to voters, while White House press secretary Robert Gibbs joked to the New York Times that he hadn't "been at a policy-problem meeting in 20 months."
This is the claim of hyperpartisan liberals who cannot accept the country isn't liberal, but actually center-right. Bill Maher says this; the lefty blogs say this. This is the go-to meme from the angry online left, and so of course Obama & Co. must parrot it.
Speaking of credit: 60 Minutes highlighted the grinding unemployment last night, noting the real un/underemployed rate is 17% (actually it's 17.5%, but close enough) and in California it's 22%:

— Monty I knew some young newlyweds who decided to “invest” in a house rather than live in an apartment. He worked (and made a decent salary), and she decided to be a stay-at-home mom. I remember visting their house once: a huge spread in a nice part of town, corner lot, with nicely-manicured lawns, hedges, and flowerbeds. But then I went inside...it was nearly empty. What little furniture they had was garage-sale stuff or Ikea bolt-together particleboard pieces. Some rooms were entirely empty or used for storage. They had “invested” in their house only to find that they couldnÂ’t afford to actually live in it. It took every dime they made just to pay the mortgage and keep the lights on. They lived poorer, in that big fancy house, than I did in my 1-bedroom apartment. Tom FriedmanÂ’s recent crie de couer is a variation on the same theme. Tom wants a country where everything is spanking new and everyone makes a good wage and everything is just ducky. In Tom's world this will happen if we just want it enough...and spend even more trillions that we don't have (which is the unspoken but obvious corollary to his main point). CA is boned, seriously boned, default on obligations type boned. They crossed the black hole's event horizon quite a while ago, and I see no Samantha Carter's or Asgard around bearing a miracle solution. CA bought the ticket, now it gets to take the ride. Let the Dems drive this bus off the cliff. They earned the right.

Tom Jensen has a thrill up and down all eight of his legs right now over his California Gov and Senate polls, seems to be developing one for Manchin in West Virginia, and has constantly shown Buck down even when everyone else gave him an edge (before his er...interesting recent comments). — Ace Dick Morris pitches his SuperPac (well, it's not his, but he's working with it and promoting it). This is the effort he'd mentioned to help get the marginal, could-possibly-win candidates elected -- to get to 100.
The Cook Political Report (which is the best there is, but tends to run a little behind) lists 23 Democratic House seats as now likely or leaning Republican. We will win all of those.
And it lists 47 seats now held by Democrats as tossup. I am working in about half of these districts and I believe we will win virtually all of these seats.
That makes 70. Then, he lists 46 Democratic seats as leaning or likely Democrat but not solidly so. That's where we need to concentrate our fire.
My organization, SuperPacUSA.com is targeting 24 seats from this list in television ad buys now going on the air set to run until Election Day. Each voter will see our ad about 7-10 times, so I think they will help us to win almost all of these races.

If you're just catching up to this story (like me)...on Wednesday at a candidate debate hosted by the Illinois League of Women Voters, the audience spontaneously decided at the beginning of the debate to stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance. The debate moderator, Kathy Tate-Bradish, tried to stop them and then scolded them when they went ahead and did it anyway.
She then took the opportunity to complain vocally in the media that it was all the fault of throwback Republicans. According to Tate-Bradish, spontaneously saying the Pledge was just "phony patriotism."
YID with LID notes that Tate-Bradish (the hyphenated name should be a dead give-away) is a longtime Democratic activist who has been particularly active in the past few years.
Ms Tate-Bradish, the moderator was very involved in the Illinois effort to make Barak Obama president, she even hosted campaign events for Obama in her own home.[...]
