Shots were fired at the Pentagon early Tuesday, authorities said, striking a window of the building.Pentagon police spokesman Chris Layman said it's not known who fired the shots. Pentagon police officers heard at least five shots around 4:50 a.m., Layman added.
According to another Pentagon Force Protection Agency spokesman, Terry Sutherland, two bullets hit the Pentagon on the south side of the building -- one striking a window and the other hitting the building itself. This is an unoccupied part of the building that is being renovated.
Most of the time these things aren't terrorism. But, on the other hand, who thinks it's a good idea to shoot at the Pentagon? You would think a conventional criminal, or some guy obsessed with a girl that let him down, would realize there are probably softer targets than the headquarters of the United States Armed Forces.
If it is a terrorist, he's one of those Lone Wolf types, and a disorganized personality type (thank God). Because he's trying to murder a building.

They moved on to discuss how, well, perhaps women join because many women are in charge of the family checkbook and are sensitive to how money is spent, etc.
Now, you might think most MSNBC contributors are retards, and you would be correct. However, this marks a moment of personal development for these snot-drooling imbeciles. Although they have sailed past RealityLand once again (where women join and lead the Tea Party FOR THE SAME REASONS EVERYBODY ELSE DOES), they're getting closer.
They sense somehow, some way, that this must have something to do with money, and that people think about money, and came up with "Eureka! Women must be having thoughts about money."
And they did not accuse us of being three-toothed trailer-livin' cousin-kissin' chicken-rapin' redneck hilbilly racists. For once.
See what I'm getting at? It's shocking.
These wretched dullards were actually able to set their corroded, calcified brains on an issue (which is no issue at all, really, but still), and in a once-in-a-lifetime flash of semi-mediocrity, deviated from a well-worn scratch in their broken record.
You grabbin' on to this? A panel full of clueless overpaid elitist pricks whose biggest contribution to the world is smelly water vapor didn't use this opportunity to launch a three-part series on how 'racism is surging among our nation's women.' This is a huge breakthrough.
This crack panel of mental defectives finally put their finger two inches away from the edge of the thing that has been screaming in their faces for two years.

In addition to a slew of local races, the Democrats have big contests involving Alex Sink, the Democratic nominee in the governor's race; Congressman Kendrick Meek in his Senate bid; and incumbent U.S. Rep. Ron Klein, who is fighting for his political life against Allen West.
Yet little to nothing has been heard from the party, except some recent photos that show Ceasar's second in command, Diane Glasser, and other party leaders schmoozing with Meek opponent Charlie Crist.
Even the corresponding secretary for the Democratic Executive Committee, Alex Johnson, is dumbfounded...

There are many deep ramifications to this change -- the impact of long-term male unemployment on the family; the loss of status, power and prestige that goes with being unemployed; the male self-image and value to society. Every president seems to have a Billy Carter-type relative they wish would shut up and go away. And in Obama's case it's his Auntie Zeituni from Kenya who appears to be an unrepentant parasite on the American system. Her message: You owe me!
And now that her papers are in order and she's finally living here legally I'm betting she'll soon be shuffled off on a two-year secluded vacation to the islands. And to be fair to Billy Carter - at least he served honorably in the Marines, was never was on the public dole, and made beer. You could do a lot worse.

People questioned that result (including me), because it's huge, and because Gallup has been very swingy lately.
Perhaps they did two oddball polls back-to-back (they've swung that way before, GOP up big for two running polls, then tied for two running polls). More likely, though, the GOP's edge really is this big, or nearly so.
Last time, the GOP had a six point edge just with registered voters, +13 high turnout, +18 low turnout.
Now they have a five point edge with registered voters, +11 high turnout, +17 low turnout.

SerwerÂ’s recent fetish has been going after the supposed racism in GOP attacks on illegal immigration. Today he goes after Sharron Angle for defending one of her ads.
When students asked Angle about her anti-immigration ads -- which some Hispanic groups called "race-baiting" -- the Tea Party favorite said they were “misinterpreting those commercials.”"I'm not sure that those are Latinos in that commercial. What it is, is a fence and there are people coming across that fence,” Angle said, per the AP. “What we know is that our northern border is where the terrorists came through. That's the most porous border that we have. We cannot allow terrorists, we cannot allow anyone to come across our border if we don't know why they're coming. So, we have to secure all of our borders and that's what that was about, is border security."
Ok, that answer is a true in the sense that there are security issues on the northern border but it's not like North Dakota is about to pass an Arizona like law because of hordes of people from Manitoba are invading. It was a political answer and with her running for office and all, that's fine.
The reality however is that whether or not the people in the ad are Hispanic or Hispanic looking is irrelevant. ThereÂ’s simply no denying that most of our illegal immigration problems are on the southern border and that Mexico, Central American and South America are the sources of most illegal immigrants into this country.
Is there illegal immigration through Canada? Sure but itÂ’s nowhere near as many people as we see on the southern border.
Of course to super geniuses like Adam Serwer, to note this inconvenient truth is, wait for it....., racism.
This is an example of how racism in politics works these days -- when a political candidate wants to exploit racial animus, all he or she has to do is leave themselves some semblance of plausible deniability. The problem is, Angle didn't leave herself any. When confronted by a high school student about her inaccurate, race-baiting ads demonizing Latinos, Angle dissembled and suggested she's actually concerned about a massive influx of Canadians. Then after demonizing Latinos, she has the chutzpah to ask for their votes.
This is a typical leftist tactic, when faced with a reality they don’t want to acknowledge or be forced to defend the simply go on the offensive and charge ‘racism’. What racism exactly is never mentioned because it doesn’t exist and even if it did, the charge and change of subject is all they are ever really after in the first place.
Remember in the aftermath of 9/11 the image of the three firefighters raising an American flag over the rubble of the towers? When it came time to create a statue of that iconic image, the PC crew wanted to change the three white men into something more diverse, more inclusive, more untrue.
That same type of thinking is at work here. Reality doesn’t meet Serwer needs so he simply demands that it be changed. Are there Europeans and Asians and Africans who stay here illegally? Sure. Do some cross over a border? Probably, though most in those groups are people who come here legally and overstay their visas. But that’s inconvenient, so Serwer simply wants the world portrayed in a way that isn’t true but fits his narrative better. Failure to accommodate him is simply “RACISM!”.
Until Serwer and others can demonstrate that large numbers of people are walking across the northern border, that there are active smuggling and drug cartels running vast sections of Canada, that a city like Plattsburg, NY is one of the kidnapping hot spots in the US, or that there are demands that northern states start spelling ‘color’ with a ‘u’, I’m going to go ahead and keep thinking that it’s okay to note that the vast majority of illegal immigrants in this country are coming across the southern border and that they tend not be the stuff of Benaton ads.
