What better way is there to get across the urgency of saving the planet than by blowing up school kids?

(I guess I should add a content warning if you're not a fan of horror movie quality gore.)

The video was written and directed by Richard Curtis, who was behind a bunch of silly Brit Rom-Coms starting Hugh Grant. It also featured a number of UK sports and entertainment figures.

The eco-fascists at a group called "1010" who are behind this are trying to erase any trace of the video and have have issued an apology to anyone who was offended.

I don't think they should apologize at all. I think they should be applauded for an honest and forthright statement of their beliefs...people are the problem and those who stand in the way of 'progress' will be removed.

This isn't anything new, progressive and totalitarian regimes have been doing killing their enemies (in propaganda and in fact) for years. Once you've identified those who are responsible for all the ills befalling everyone else, it's only logical that the state be empowered to remove them.

Better to have it on the table than not.

Once again, this demonstrates that the best way to find out what a leftist is really thinking is to pay attention to what they accuse the right of doing. People on the left never tire of accusing the right of fear mongering and creating enemies. Yet here we have a clear picture of who environuts think are the true enemy...kids who won't get with the program.

Just for fun, do you think they could have gotten a guy like Curtis or all those celebrities to participate in a video warning of the dangers of expansionist Islam? Imagine if it featured suicide bombers chanting "Allahu Akbar"? Of course not. And if they did somehow pull it off, the UK police would have arrested them on a hate crime charge.

Rahm Emmanuel took his leave today as White House Chief of Staff to begin his campaign for Mayor of Chicago (a position he may not be eligible for by the by).

He couldn't resist one of the Obama administration's patented overstatements.

Obama, he said, is "the toughest leader any country could ask for, in the toughest times any president has ever faced."

I'm in my (dear God how did this happen?) early, very early 40's and I'm not convinced these are the toughest time of my life. I was a kid in the 70's but the economy was just as bad, if not worse, we had just suffered twin blows to our national psyche with Watergate and Vietnam. And oh yeah, the Soviet Union was on the rampage around the world.

I get that the last two years have been very tough and the future isn't looking so hot either (though that was the case in say January of '81) but clearly a guy named Ronald Reagan faced a few challenges.

If you want to look at the broader picture, I could also mention someone named Abe Lincoln. I seem to recall him facing some tough times. Of course the Civil War couldn't have been so bad since Lincoln didn't take as many vacations as Obama has.

Speaking of Obama vacations, he's angling for another one.

According to the pool report, Obama thanked Phillips for the work he and his wife have done for Team Obama. Then the president mentioned that Phillips and Douglass have an opulent place in Italy and wondered why there had been no invitation to visit. "I'd appreciate a little break and some Tuscan sun," the president said, according to the pool report. "Some pasta. I can use it."

The fundrasier was hosted by Linda Douglas a former reporter who was Obama's spokesliar about health-care. She's subsequently gone to work for The Atlantic Media, which employs insane conspiracy theorist Andrew Sullivan.

Obama and his team need to man up. They've been in office nearly 2 years, that's half the time the are going to get (hopefully). They need to stop whining and accept that yes, they won. They passed a massive spending bill, they've taken over health care and they are promulgating regulations. The nation's health isn't something that just happened, they have had a massive influence on it.

They need to stop acting like bystanders and stop flattering themselves that every damn thing is so 'unprecedented'.

Apparently the stupidest man on TV gave a long and convoluted radio interview where Sanchez took a number of shots at John Stewart with whom he seems to have a running feud (mostly because Stewart makes fun of Sanchez, which probably amounts to just playing clips of the dumb crap Sanchez says).

He then capped it off with this.

When Pete suggested Jews (such as Stewart) have at least some sense of what itÂ’s like to be an oppressed minority, Sanchez seemed to make the claim that Jews run CNN and the news business in general and that Stewart thus did not in fact know what it was like to feel the sting of prejudice.

“Yeah,” Sanchez snickered sarcastically at the idea that Jews are as much minorities as Latinos in the US.

"Very powerless people… [snickers] He’s such a minority, I mean, you know [sarcastically]… Please, what are you kidding? … I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they — the people in this country who are Jewish — are an oppressed minority? Yeah. [sarcastically]"

Follow the link to read more of the transcript. Sanchez repeatedly plays the "Stewart hates me because I'm Hispanic" card in the lead up to his Jew baiting.

Yeah, there's no reason to think Sanchez is an idiot other than his ethnicity.
