Happy Friday.

My condolences to anyone stuck doing Black Friday shopping. Unless you like that kinda thing, in which case, really? Really?

How About Some Hawt Thanksgiving Pr0n?

These are just the pics that decorum and blog standards allow me to post. The rest are NSFYW. If your stomach-boner persists for more than 4 hours, it's a sign that your body is craving critical dessert nutrients. And electrolytes.

Night Open Thread, But Not Over Night Open Thread
— Ace

So, here's a clip of a very underrated comedy from 1982, a movie that tried to ape the zany joke-a-second nothing's-too-silly style of Airplane.

I actually think it succeeded! Oh, it's not an all-time classic like Airplane, of course. But it's funny. I like the story. I like the characters. I actually rooted for them, even if this movie was, by design, the stupidest, most cliched story ever told. (It actually is a parody of afternoon soap operas.)

So, if you've never seen it, rent Young Doctors in Love from Netflix.

Hector Elizondo's in it, Michael "Kramer" Richards, Taylor Negron (pizza guy from Fast Times), Sean Young, Michael McKean, Harry Dean Stanton... Fun movie.

I think there are some boobies but my memory is fuzzy. Confirmation: There are boobies. more...

Turkeys, Sensing Weakness, Few Guns, Move to Take Over Brookline, MA
— rdbrewer

They're attacking people in the streets. Attacking cars. Attacking front doors. People are complaining to the police. The police.

I have an idea: Eat them.

From CBS Boston:

Neighbors are on the offensive in Brookline after what some residents are describing as aggressive turkeys.

“They were attacking the vehicle,” Karen Halvorson said outside her home in the Aspinwall Hill neighborhood.

After getting in her truck, a neighbor came and ran the birds off but it didnÂ’t stop there.

“Then, the turkeys came and started attacking my front door,” she said.

A second run-in came a few weeks ago as she walked nearby.

“I looked back and three of them charged me,” she explained.

She moved to the center of the street to avoid the animals, but it wasnÂ’t enough.

“The turkey flew in my face and scratched my neck,” she said.

Halvorson refuses to give up her walks so she has taken precautions.

“I went down to the hiking store and I got a hiking stick with a big ball on top of it. I walk with it all the time and now I never go without my phone,” she said.

(Emphasis mine.) Is it one of those really big phones from the 80's? The kind that are big enough to clock a turkey upside the head so that you can stick it in your fridge and then serve it later for dinner? If so, good thinking.

13 of "Octomom" Nadya Suleman's 14 Children Form "Supergroup" And Cut Christmas Record
— Ace

It's the Octoplets, plus five of her other kids. I don't know why the fourteenth didn't join.

Anyway, this particular supergroup calls itself the "Roctuplets," and they sing a song written by a rapper who once sang at one of their birthday parties. It sounds like it was written by a rapper. Proceeds from the song go, in theory, to their college funds.

Eh. Kids are going to have a hard time. I can't begrudge them some money. Although the video has images of the kids smiling, which you'd think would be the dominant image, an awful lot of shots show confused, unhappy little children wondering what's to become of them.

Nadya Suleman's vagina is like a road production of Oliver Twist.

Kid at Grinnell College (Division III) Scores 138 Points In A Single Game
— Ace

Part of the reason this happened at Grinnell and not somewhere else is that Grinnell employs some kind of strategy from Pluto -- they apparently play no defense, and just lob shot after shot at the basket.

But it sort of works; they're 14-5. Their opponents usually score over 100; but Grinnell usually scores a little bit more than that.

The score in this game was 179-104. 179.

This kid, Jack Taylor, had kind of bad percentages -- under 50% on his shots, and he went only 27 for 71 on three point shots. Yes, you read that right. He took 71 three point shots. He took a total of 108 shots (52 for 108 overall).

But he broke the record.

Metaphor for life? Just keep taking shots, baby. Just keep taking shots.
