If you say you don't know the specifics, people can't ask you to defend the specifics.

At least not without calling you a liar to your face. Which people are reluctant to do. Especially when those people are liberal reporters questioning a high campaign official of their liberal dreamboat.

Asked about the Priorities spot on MSNBC Wednesday morning, Robert Gibbs said he doesn’t “know the specifics” while Stephanie Cutter said on CNN: “I don’t know the facts about when Mr. Soptic’s wife got sick or the facts about his health insurance.”

And Jen Psaki told reporters on Air Force One that “we don't' have any knowledge of the story of the family,” according to Yahoo! News.

But Cutter hosted an Obama campaign conference call in May in which Soptic told reporters the very story featured in the Priorities spot.

Both the campaign and the Priorities USA Action said there was no coordination about SopticÂ’s appearances. In the campaignÂ’s ad, Soptic speaks only about the plant. In the Priorities spot, he tells the personal story he relayed during the Obama campaign conference call.

“We have no idea when Priorities shot their spot,” an Obama campaign official said. “We’re not allowed to coordinate with them – but we can tell you it wasn’t when we shot ours.”

Interesting, that, that the Obama campaign features the same guy as the Priorities USA SuperPAC. And these two are not permitted by law to coordinate. And yet, same guy.

And yet, see below: Soptic tells the Romney Murdered My Wife story in a conference call arranged by OFA, hosted by Stephanie Cutter (an Obama campaign employee). This appears, as Politico notes, in their own campaign archives.

Sure seems there was some coordination here -- Obama's campaign sets up the more egregious attack, then Priorities USA runs it, pretending Obama had nothing to do with it.

As @slublog points out, Soptic is obviously reading from a statement in the clip. Did he actually write it without Stephanie Cutter giving it a proofread and approval? Doubtful.

Do I know who this "Ryan" guy is? No. (No, it's not Paul Ryan, it's no one anyone's ever heard of. Ryan is his first name.)

Do I know he's committed some crime worthy of death? Not a crime in a "legal" sense. But a crime nonetheless.

Is it a crime to have it too good for too long? I think it is.

It's Hubris. You know who says Hubris must be punished? Oh, no one important. Just Zeus.

Let's find this guy, kill him, and steal his woman. I don't know who "Ryan" thinks he is, but if he thinks he can post pictures like this and yet live, then he doesn't know 40,000 years of human history.

I think we owe him -- we all owe him -- a lesson.

A left-leaning research group that’s leading a national campaign to get welfare recipients to the voting booths is chaired by Democratic Senate contender Elizabeth Warren’s daughter — and is drawing immediate fire from incumbent GOP Sen. Scott Brown.

“I want every legal vote to count, but it’s outrageous to use taxpayer dollars to register welfare recipients as part of a special effort to boost one political party over another,” Brown said in a statement this morning. “This effort to sign up welfare recipients is being aided by Elizabeth Warren’s daughter and it’s clearly designed to benefit her mother’s political campaign. It means that I’m going to have to work that much harder to get out my pro-jobs, pro-free enterprise message.”

Demos, whose board is chaired by Amelia Warren Tyagi, successfully filed suit in May to force the Bay State to send out nearly 500,000 voter registration cards to welfare recipients. Their lawsuit, filed in conjunction with the ACORN offshoot New England United for Justice, comes as Warren faces a tight battle with Brown in a nationally watched battle that could decide which party controls the Senate.

Officials with the Warren campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Demos has filed similar suits in nine states, including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Louisiana. The group was conceived in the late 1990s to counter conservative think tanks, and also counts President Obama as a founding board member.

Earlier, Saul said that Spotic and his deceased wife, who passed away from cancer in 2006, would have had access to health care coverage under Mitt RomneyÂ’s controversial universal health care coverage plan he passed as the governor of the Bay State.

The Second Circuit has decided that competitive cheerleading does not qualify as a Title IX sport. I don't really know how big a deal this will be for states in the Second Circuit. I can say that for states like Oklahoma (the Tenth Circuit) and Texas (the Fifth Circuit), a decision like this would never fly; competitive cheer squads are one of the ways that schools can have such large football teams and still be Title IX compliant.

Speaker Boehner and Reps. Cantor and McCarthy have been crisscrossing the country to raise money for the 2010 GOP freshmen who have been targeted by Dems.
