A teacher engaged in sadistic bullying of a student -- leading other students in the bullying, including putting his ass over the student's face and saying "I feel gassy" (!!!) -- and has merely been transferred to a different class.

This is what they do. In Waiting for Superman, they call this the "Dance of the Lemons." Schools can't fire teachers, so every term, one school merely shuffles its incompetents, drunks, perverts, and psychopaths to another, and other schools transfer its bottom-dwellers to that school.

The hope of any school here is simply to get slightly less bad teachers than it sent away.

Ever play "Pass the Trash" poker? That's all it is. As in the game, none of the cards are ever removed from play. They're simply passed from one player to the next.

Now, this is Rasmussen, and I am wary to go with one firm's findings alone, but if this is even close to accurate, November could very well be a bloodbath.

After polling 15,000 voters, Scott Rasmussen found the largest spread for the Republicans in self-ID in the history of his polling (going back to 2002), with a higher share of the overall population (37.6%) than in 2004 (37.3%), when November turnout was evenly split.

Considering Obama won with Democrats holding nearly a 7-point edge in exit polling on Election Day 2008, a shift rightwards of 4-5 points (D+2 to D+3) would be tough.

R+ anything, with his current standing amongst independents, would be catastrophic. It would also imply 90% of all polling released has been way off the mark, almost hiding a Romney win this whole time. I don't agree with most conservatives that there is such a vast polling conspiracy in part because the diversity of firms available and active now makes it harder for liberal ones to really control the narrative (see PPP's numbers out of Michigan versus...everybody else). Still...

I am posting this Breitbart video because I miss him so damn much. But this reminder of what we have lost is also a reminder of what we have gained. For the last two days. The Democrats and MSNBC and the other progressive/media goon squads have tried to convince everyone that Clint Eastwood is a "senile, babbling old man" and so therefore everything he said can and should be discounted.

But it's not working. They may believe it themselves, but I don't think it's getting a lot of traction anywhere else.

And not even all of them believe it (cf. e.g. Bill Maher)

And we can thank Andrew Breitbart for that.

Andrew Breitbart is one of the very big reasons why the left can no longer simply dictate their narrative onto the public conversation. The used to be able to, but not any more. I think the breakup of the left monolith started before Breitbart, of course, but he gave it a very big push.

In words reminiscent of the famous line in Gran Torino, Breitbart says that the left "screwed with the wrong guy."

And did I tell you how damn much I miss him?

College Football.

Ah, September is in the air, and by September I mean it'll be a hunnert degrees again today and dry as a bone. But that doesn't matter because football is back baby.

Michigan St. (13) took Boise St. (24) last night in their home opener, 17-14, and S. Carolina (9) beat Vanderbilt in another close one 17-13. Stanford (21) took San Jose St. 20-17. The Catholics at Notre Dame woke up early today and lead Navy 20-0 at the half.

The only top ten head to head game is Alabama (2) and Michigan ( tonight at 8pm EDT. Other top tens have their warm-up openers, Texas-Wyoming, Georgia-Buffalo, USC-Hawaii, Oklahoma-UTEP, LSU-N. Texas.

It's a great day to be a college football moron. Go Texas!

I'm sorry, what? Oh.. I can't, I can't do that to myself.
