CNN's National Security Analyst on Anniversary of Boston Bombing: Rightwing Extremists Are More Deadly Than Jihadists, You Know
— Ace

The media literally has the same storyline one year later.

Nothing is ever learned; nothing ever changes.

Are “right-wing” extremists more dangerous than Al-Qaeda terrorists? According to CNN’s National Security Analyst Peter Bergen, they are. In a CNN commentary posted yesterday Bergen wrote, “U.S. right wing extremists [are] more deadly than jihadists.” He also also happens to be a director for the George Soros-funded liberal New America Foundation. What a coincidence.

Must be great being a progressive, being able to collect two checks from your partisan/ideological group and the "straight media." *

Bergen claimed that “white supremacists, anti-abortion extremists and anti-government militants have killed more people in the United States than have extremists motivated by al Qaeda’s ideology.” He cited a New America study which counted 34 people killed by right-wing extremist acts and just 23 people killed by Al Qaeda-linked terrorism, after 9/11. Why start there? Wouldn’t the 2,977 people killed that day by jihadists skew those findings somewhat?

Nah bro.

Like Obama, Obama's progressive allies change the numbers to get the outcome they wish.

Meanwhile, Obama has declared that what worries him most is the prospect of a nuclear bomb detonating in a major American city. (Most likely this would be a Rightwing Nuke, I suppose.)

Here's what to do if a bomb goes off near you and you survive.

* Note that while CNN hires conservatives for commentary, they are in fact commentators.

Study: Immigrants (Both Illegal and Legal) Favor Democrats Over Republicans, 2 to 1
— Ace

So what do you do?

GimpelÂ’s solution to all of this: There is none, at least not anytime soon. Nominating Latino candidates doesnÂ’t seem to help Republicans (Ted Cruz lost the Latino vote in his Senate race two years ago, even in deep-red Texas), nor does taking different positions on illegal immigration. The only thing to do is Â… wait.

...

Wait a generation or two for low-skilled, Democratic-voting immigrants to have kids who grow up to become middle-class independents and then youÂ’ve got a shot. In the meantime, gulp.

There is one possible solution, but it relies entirely upon external events: If something happens to discredit progressivism (such as a new recession) to make immigrant populations actually begin to doubt their preferred big government, big spending solutions, there's hope of a realignment.

But that, of course, is entirely outside our control.* It's basically hoping for a Miracle (though a dark one).

* Except, of course, for our ability to sabotage the economy by speaking badly about it and hoping for Obamacare to fail.

Progressives have long asserted that prayer doesn't work, except in the case of conservative "prayers" for a failing economy and failing Healthcare.gov, in which case "prayer" works wonders and changes the world.

Of Course: Obama's White House Pressured IPCC to Rewrite Report on Costs of Climate Change Mitigation Efforts, Demanding They Take Into Account Alleged "Co-Benefits" of Such Mitigation
— Ace

That the Science is Politicized is actually settled.

U.S. President Barack ObamaÂ’s administration is concerned that a crucial United Nations report on climate science may be too harsh in assessing the cost of fighting global warming.

Such a finding may lower the incentive for the world to reduce fossil fuel pollution and feed the arguments of those skeptical about whether itÂ’s worth spending money to curtail rising temperatures.

...

“The discussion of the economic costs of mitigation is too narrow and does not incorporate co-benefits of action,” U.S. officials wrote in a submission to the UN, according to a document obtained by Bloomberg. They said including only one side of the equation “unnecessarily skews the information.”

...

State Department officials are pressing to factor in improvements to public health and lower energy costs from increased efficiency that would happen if fossil fuels were limited. Those would offset the price to be paid for switching over to cleaner forms of energy such as wind and solar and paring back on lower-cost fuels such as coal.

Of course. We all know that when you convert from a lower-cost, privately-operated fuel industry to a higher-cost, government-subsidized-and-mandated one, you "increase efficiency." Always. It's like a Rule of Economics.

So of course you should figure this Fake Factor into your math and then claim it's "Science."

The last time the Obama Administration lied to the public about the actual costs of a major socialist program it all worked out so swimmingly that the Health and Human Services Secretary got rewarded with a Victory Resignation.

Of course, Obama's chief contribution to American Democracy is changing the numbers so that people are incapable of making informed decisions about the efficacy of government, and are thus unable to hold government accountable.

Via Weasel Zippers and Breitbart.

The Most Transparent Administration In History*

* Based upon our own calculations of transparency, which have been recalibrated to take into effect the increased efficiency that occurs when a government is disburdened from honestly reporting on its performance.

Seriously, it frees government up so much. And that's what you want-- a government free to live its life to the fullest, without consequences, without regret.

Common Core Math:

"What you have to do is subtract the cost of doing nothing from the costs of mitigation then subtract how it makes you feel divided by racism to get the correct figures."

One Year Ago, Media Rushed to Blame Boston Bombings on "The Extreme Right Wing"
— Ace

Designated Villains.

The bombs killed three people -- including a child -- and wounded 264 others. The blast sheared limbs off human beings.

The body parts had not even been collected yet when the media set itself to speculating upon its Fantasy Villain, the villain that would help it advance its political agenda.

The morning after the attack, Good Morning America's Pierre Thomas narrated a segment with an on-screen graphic wondering, "Could this be homegrown terror?" Thomas noted that April 15th was only four days before the anniversaries of the bloody end of the Branch Davidian standoff and the Oklahoma City bombing. Regarding the date the attack occurred, GMA guest Mark Potok linked, "The real Patriots Day is April 19th. That is the date that counts for people on the extreme right in the United States."

...

More speculations from the media followed:

Obviously, nobody knows anything yet, but I would caution folks jumping to conclusions about foreign terrorism to remember that this is the official Patriots Day holiday in Massachusetts, celebrating the battles at Lexington and Concord, and that the actual date (April 19) was of some significance to, among other people, Tim McVeigh, because he fancied himself a waterer of the tree of liberty and the like."

— Former Boston Globe reporter Charles Pierce writing on Esquire’s politics blog at 3:22pm April 15, 2013, barely half an hour after the bombings occurred.

I like that. I like that quite a bit. "Let's not speculate hastily about foreign Islmaic terrorists," he says. "Let's speculate instead about domestic right-wing white terrorists."

Under the guise of high-mindedness and an unwillingness to jump to conclusions about convenient racially-satisfying tribally-approved scapegoats, he offers his own convenient favorite racially-satisfying tribally-approved scapegoat.

"The thinking, as weÂ’ve been reporting, is that this is a domestic extremist attack. And officials are leaning that way largely because of the timing of the attack. April is a big month for anti-government and right-wing individuals. ThereÂ’s the Columbine anniversary. ThereÂ’s HitlerÂ’s birthday. ThereÂ’s the Oklahoma City bombing. ThereÂ’s the assault on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco."

— NPR correspondent Dina Temple-Raston on All Things Considered, April 16, 2013.

Yes, of course, "anti-government and right-wing individuals" always take time to celebrate Hitler's Birthday, or, as we call it, Aryan Christmas.

Chris Matthews, of course, weighed in, but I'll direct you to the link for that. And of course there's more where this came from.

White House Asked Ben Carson for Apology for "Offending" Obama at Prayer Breakfast
— Ace

The dignity of the King was offended.

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year.

...

“He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of the program, I received a call from some of the prayer breakfast organizers saying that the White House was upset and requesting that I call the president and apologize for offending him. I said that I did not think that he was offended and that I didn’t think that such a call was warranted.”

Incredible. Obama's Praetorian Guard wants people to apologize for disagreeing with him politically.

Obama Administration: ObamaCare Is So Successful We're Going To Make Sure It's Impossible To Measure Just How Awesome It Is
— DrewM

You'd think that with all the victory laps Obama has been doing over hitting his numbers on "sign ups", whatever that means, he'd be eager to have hard data to back up his claims.

Surprisingly, that's actually not the case.

The Census Bureau, the authoritative source of health insurance data for more than three decades, is changing its annual survey so thoroughly that it will be difficult to measure the effects of President ObamaÂ’s health care law in the next report, due this fall, census officials said.

The changes are intended to improve the accuracy of the survey, being conducted this month in interviews with tens of thousands of households around the country. But the new questions are so different that the findings will not be comparable, the officials said.

An internal Census Bureau document said that the new questionnaire included a “total revision to health insurance questions” and, in a test last year, produced lower estimates of the uninsured. Thus, officials said, it will be difficult to say how much of any change is attributable to the Affordable Care Act and how much to the use of a new survey instrument.

So look, you'll just have to trust Obama and people like Ezra Klein when they tell you all is well and ObamaCare is the best thing ever. You have a problem with that?

Related enough...the head of NBC News political coverage knows why ObamaCare is so gosh darn unpopular.

Let's unpack this nonsense for a second.

I like how they pick March as the cutoff deadline for counting pro-ObamaCare ads. It lets him ignore all the money HHS spent promoting it prior to that. In ads. On TV.

It also ignores all the friendly media coverage people like him give it.

But mostly it ignores something very important. The reason candidates, Democratic campaign committees and PACs aren't running pro-ObamaCare ads is that it's unpopular and running on it would be suicide.

If simply buying ads would make the thing a winner for Democrats you can bet they'd be spending tons of money doing just that. They tried using taxpayer money (Happy Tax Day!) and failed.

But chin up Mark. Socialism will be popular someday, it just needs a bigger advertising budget.

How to Survive the Blood Moooon!!!

808f349c-85dc-459b-8479-2c1633f3c6dc

Potential Blood Moon-Related Incidents You May Observe

Blood Moons are a time when the walls between Neverywhen and Howsitwaz break down. Werewolf cubs may fall randomly from the mirror in your bathroom, and small bats may lodge themselves in the hollow spaces of those soup bowls made from sourdough bread. Turn all mirrors to face the wall and make sure to finsh your soup before sundown. Leave no leftovers! Not even for breadcrumbs later in the week!
Don't Take It Personally

Remember: the Blood Moon is not here for you. The Blood Moon is migratory and is only hoping to continue on its way to Australia. If a Blood Moon enters your home or reflecting pool it has done so by mistake, and it probably trying to leave again. Do not get between it and the horizon and you will likely not be considered a threat. Best of luck!

Does Tuesday's 'blood' eclipse signal the End Times?

Short answer: No not THE End Times. Just a short reign of inter-dimensional perfusion and associated mayhem and Ur-forces that travel along with the Blood Moon.

You can watch the carnage live here.

Meanwhile this is how the government-media complex is attempting to cover up tonight's events. It's all some kind of space planet shadow thingy. Yeah that totally explains the blood and sudden dark urges.

Sylvia Mathews Burwell Proved Her Loyalty by Digging Through Vince Foster's Trash

On the night his body was discovered. Exactly the loyal apparatchik you want running ObamaCare if say you wouldn't be opposed to seeing certain opponents' medical records mysteriously get leaked to the press.

Under questioning, Sylvia Mathews and her colleagues denied impeding a police investigation into Foster's death after his body was found in a northern Virginia park. According to the New York Times, Mathews testified "in laborious detail about what she had found in Mr. Foster's garbage on the night he died."
