Little Chrissy Matthews Gets Bitch Slapped...Again!
— Tanker

Probably the best moment of the 2004 campaign was when Zell Miller regretted not being able to challenge Chrissy Matthews to a duel.

Clearly, this degenerate subhuman deserved to get bitch slapped after the way he treated Michelle Malkin on a previous show.

But now, normally mild mannered Peter King has bitch slapped the other side of his empty head.

I used to watch his show to test my ability to debate left wing arguments. But the loony left has gone so far off the reservation, you can't debate them anymore. How do you respond to retards who claim the levees were blown up in the black neighborhoods to protect the white ones? Then again, as long as these morons keep discrediting themselves, there will be lots of Republican victories.

Can You Simulate Pool Sex With Socks?
— Harry Callahan

Then there's a job in New York Theatre for you!

Of course, that brings up one of the great metaphysical questions of all time: Can a sock be slutty?

I report, you decide.

Don't Tell Me Beloved Get Smart Actor Don Adams Has Died
— Ace

I asked you not to tell me that. Maxwell Smart 86'd.

Would you believe it if I told you Don Adams was the greatest theatrical lion since John Barrymore?

No?

Would you believe, the most talented comedic actor working in television since Jackie Gleason?

No?

Okay. How about a guy who could deliver a shoe-phone gag like nobody's business?

But really, I watched this show compulsively as a kid. I loved it. I liked Don Adams so much I even watched his very-short lived Screen Test show, which was a kind of gameshow where contestants re-enacted scenes from famous movies (not a one of which I'd ever seen, so much was lost on me).

PS: Don't get me started on Agent 99. God, I was so in love with her it hurt.

I Missed This...

In 1941, he dropped out of school to join the Marines. In Guadalcanal he survived the deadly blackwater fever and was returned to the States to become a drill instructor, acquiring the clipped delivery that served him well as a comedian.

Who'd've thunk it? Thanks to Allah again for pointing that out.

Gay Penguin Goes Straight
— Ace

This has been bubbling around out there for a while; just getting around to noting it. I know it's old.

The animal kingdom's most famous gay couple has split up. Silo and Roy, the cohabiting penguins of Central Park Zoo, are no longer an item.

The pair rose to prominence six years ago when they came out with their same-sex relationship.

Silo tearfully confessed that "telling his father" was the most difficult part.

Since then, they have successfully hatched and raised an adoptive chick (after an uncertain start that involved trying to incubate a rock).

Well, yes, that's really not the sort of image these Gay Penguin Activists wanted to project. Fortunately, these Stonewall Rebels of the flightless-bird world have had some success:

They blazed a trail for six other gay penguin couples at the zoo.

I could not even begin to guess at what this sentence could possibly mean. Unless they mean these predatory perverted puffinkin "recruited" other penguins into the "gay penguin lifestyle"?

But the affair ended when Scrappy, a new female penguin, moved into the neighbourhood and caught Silo's eye.

...

Silo promptly moved in with Scrappy, building a new nest with her.

You know the writer wanted to call Scrappy a whore. I think a different edit of this story did in fact refer to Scrappy as a "homewrecker."

A little bit of cutesy joking, yes, but you know that the media was really rooting for these young kids to make it together.

Zookeepers are at a loss to explain Silo's sudden conversion.

I'll say it: penguin pooter. Is there anything it can't do?

But seriously, some homosexuality is opportunistic, or rather lack-of-opportunistic. Guys in prison don't suddenly start having sex with other dudes because they've just decided to "experiment" while in a college-like environment.

That's where they're leaning, RedState says.

But many are pushing Alberto Gonzalez again, including My Satanic Master Karl Rove.

Oh, well. Even the Prince of Lies is entitled to an off-day. He's had his plate full lately, what with conjuring hurricanes and all.

Thanks to AllahPundit.

Crazy Treasure-Hunter Money: Expedition Claims To Have Found $10 Billion (With a B) In Long-Buried Loot
— Ace

Big swag:

TREASURE hunters believe they have found a legendary trove of 18th century jewels and gold coins worth $US10 billion on Chile's Robinson Crusoe island, the company that bankrolled the expedition said.

Robinson Crusoe lies 700 kilometres west of Chile's central coast in the Pacific, and was a refuge for corsairs crossing the vast ocean.
Legend has it that Spanish navigator Juan Esteban Ubilla y Echeverria stashed a fortune on the island in 1715, which was found by a British sailor Cornelius Webb, and taken to another area of the island to be reburied.

Members of an expedition organised by Wagner salvage, using a metal-detecting robot that also can identify chemical compositions, believe they have pinpointed the site, according to attorney Fernando Uribe Echeverria, who is advising the team.

"It is the greatest treasure in history," Echeverria told reporters, adding that searchers would start digging in a matter of days once permits had been granted.

Once permits have been granted.

Something tells me these permits are going to be pretty pricey.

Al Zarqawi's Number Two Man Killed
— Ace

This poor freedom fighter is dead.

The No. 2 al Qaeda leader in Iraq was killed Sunday night, U.S. officials say. Abu Azzam, reportedly the deputy to Abu Musab al Zarqawi, was shot during a house rain in Baghdad, according to Pentagon officials.

As the aide to Zarqawi, Azzam was reportedly in control of financing foreign fighters coming into Iraq, CBS News national security correspondent David Martin reports.

According to Pentagon officials coalition troops raided the house in response to a tip. When Azzam opened fire, these officials say, he was killed with troops' return fire.

FAQ: Ace, Why Do Cheerios Cling Together In A Bowl Of Milk?
— Ace

My mailbox gets flooded with this question. And it's not limited to Cheerios; people ask about a lot of different BBC (boyant breakfast cereals) -- your Lifes, your Alpha-bits, your Cracklin' O's.

I've been telling people for years that it's due to intermolecular forces creating a dip in the middle of the bowl, and a rising "menescus" at the edge of the bowl, and finally science has caught up to me.
