— Ace Michael Moore rattles off without prompting just about every award or accolade he's ever won.
Will he add the endorsement of the Al Rashedeen Army to his list?
"One of my favorite guys," the narrator says of Moore. And then says he watched a propaganda clip from Fahrenheit 9/11 -- an American serviceman unforntunately singing "The Roof Is On Fire" about Iraq -- "hundreds" of time. So, Michael Moore's work has helped boost the morale of at least one terrorist group.
Not anti-war. Just on the other side.
You'll find your anger rising thoughout this, and then actual murderous rage when these gay-panic closet-cases show a montage of them blowing up American Hummvees.

Meet Hammasa Kohistani, the first Muslim woman to be named Miss England. Not bad, I have to admit. There is, however, a downside. Like all girls who win these sorts of things, she's not content to stick with ribbon cutting and having a great chest: She also wants us to admire her frighteningly powerful intellect.
Here she is on the July 7 bombings last year:
"I think in a sense it brought communities together," she said. But at the same time "there is this hostility", which comes "mainly from the Government"...Tony Blair addressed Muslims in particular, telling them that they need to sort out the problem within. That was a huge stereotype of the Islamic community."
I have, like, such total respect for you and your mind, Hammasa. Your mind and I should get together sometime and do something intellectual and non-threatening. No pressure; I just want to cuddle for a while, and maybe talk about how stereotypes are so unfair and how they hurt peoples' feelings in a really mean way. We could read the newspaper and get all broken up about stories like this and worry about what this crazy world is coming to. Then we could fall into each others' arms and just cry, cry, cry, savoring the cathartic emotional release that is the result of two souls coming together and forging a bond based on equal partnership and mutual respect.
And then I'd probably try to take you from behind like a rutting Cape Buffalo, because there's only so much of that sort of crap that I can take.

— Ace Gateway Pundit has a good piece on Hezbollah operating in South America (h/t LGF).
This is not an isolated incident, nor is it a new event. This stuff has been talked about since 2001, in my memory. This is my post on the subject.
For those of you still recovering from the Optimus Prime sighting:
I am left with two unassailable conclusions. #1 - The terrorist problem extends to South America, either as a financial organization or as a militant one. Either is threatening to the Western Hemisphere as the foundation for Western Civilization. #2 - Elements of the administration and the US government are dismissive of what I contend are troubling concurrent events, the crossing of terroristsÂ’ paths, and a fertile political and geographical environment that is allowing this terrorism to take hold. If South America is not the front lines in the terror war, it is instead the rear area that our enemies seek to infiltrate and from which they seek to undermine our war efforts. This should be dealt with. In the words of Ledeen - Faster please.

Alright, you dirty sons of pigfuckers, and you slutty skanks who blow them, I'm back. But it's not because I like you, or even want to spend the precious time it takes to stick the proper opinion up your ass. Truth is, I need bail money. Who knew you couldn't beat down a thai tranny to get your money back? Seems like I'm the victim here after all.
Anyway, to get my money to pay off the powers that be I'm going to have to resort to what I do best. No, not collecting and selling my sperm. That's my hobby. I'm talking about the other thing I do best. Gambling.
That's right. I, Johnny F'n Coldcuts am gonna let you morons in on my picks for Saturday's Top 25 action. Against the spread, even. Cause that's how I roll. And I know you retards are too stupid to figure out how point spreads work on your own, anyway.
So in the extended entry you will find my picks. I know I don't need to remind you degenerates that I come from the future, so I already know the results of these games. Ignore me at your peril, nancy.
To the picks! The football picks I mean. Jeez..I say picks and half of you start rooting around your 501's for dingleberries. Has there ever been a more motley collection of freakin' paint huffin' juiceboxes gathered in the comments section of a blog? I don't think so. Anyway...pay attention 'tards.
UPDATE: I changed the freakin' timestamp to bump the post to the top so you morons could play along at home by comparing my picks to the actual scores. Or is that too complicated for you slack-jawed daffodils? more...

— Ace Read ended by a suspected drunk driver.
Why are you all giving me that look? It's Ellen.
Anyway, says she was stopped at a light in her 2006 Porsche Carrera, when a possibly drunk 52 year old woman in a 2002 Porsche Carrera rear ended a Buick behind her and caused a chain reaction. Neither Ellen nor her 30-something year old female passenger were seriously injured, nor did they require medical attention at the scene.
But look at that... a 2006 Carrera. A 2002 Carrera? Possible drunk driver? And a Porsche sandwich?
Something smells fishy to me.

— Ace Which is a damn shame, but I can't say I blame them.
We have a saying around where I work. We'll all share in the glory together but if you screw up you're on your own pal. I don't know you.
No wait. That's not the one. It's uhm, oh yeah. Toot your own horn, cause nobody's gonna do it for you. If you want the story told you better start telling it yourself.
Rob, over at Say Anything blog:
Given the reality of media coverage of the war in Iraq and the middle east in general the idea of the Pentagon spending money to keep track of - and hopefully vigorously refute - the inaccuracies and gross misrepresentations perpetuated by the media just makes sense.
Well he's right. To ignore the evidence of willful distortion and malicious "looking the other way" by the MSM takes serious commitment.
One item from the article itself:
The military last year was criticized for a public relations program in Iraq that included hiring a consulting firm that paid Iraqi news media to carry news stories written by American troops.
Why exactly does that deserve criticism? They weren't accused of making up shit. Just telling it.
They don't want to debate you. They want you to shut up. See: Fairness Doctrine.

— Ace Like Michael, I am suspicious of Ace's physical sysmptoms. Is he, as Michael suggests, simply taking a page from Paul Anka's band and coasting while the Innocent Bystanders haul the heavy stuff? Or are the physical symptoms real, but present because of some hidden shame, some super secret exertion, some bit of dirty laundry that dare not speak its name?
I quote:
I'm back, but still a zombie. I don't seem to be able to sleep enough or eat enough.
and
Welcome to the end of youth.
Thanks to super secret sources inside the Ace of Spades HQ, I can now reveal the truth: Ace has been laid up for 46 straight hours with his Player's Handbook, the entire line of Vagisil lubricants, a case of Val-U-Rite and this playing on a loop on his once powerful Dell...
... And he looks like he got wadded up and flushed through a You-Suck-It-Male Enhancer. Hasn't eaten. No sleep. No real human contact. Just the preview playing over and over, and tissues everywhere.
It's OK Ace. We're here for you. And Dave in GR understands. We'll be here when you get back.
SFW Pics after the bump. Unless you're an evil robot ... then they're not safe at all. more...

— Ace I'm in on a Friday, and not too worried about it. I'm blogging outside and listening to crickets.
I'm kind of in the boonies, and the crickets are a nice change of pace. At least, that is, until I begin to go bananas from the isolation.
Checking out my gmail box, I see some other bloggers are at home or at least were at home until recently.
Blogging is all sorts of glamorous.
I have no idea what the point of this post is. I guess it's just a wordy open thread.
Hello, Glenn: Or is it Ellison? Or Wilson?
In any event, I expect you to give your readers a full report on the scary-important doings at Ace of Spades first thing in the AM.
Isn't it funny that within minutes of mentioning Glenn Greenwald a Rio de Janeiro IP shows up?
But yeah, that's the Magic Cabana Boy. He's just obsessed with googling "Glenn Greenwald" twenty four hours a day.
Update to the sock-puppetry post...
Does "sprezzatura's" defending of Lee Siegel seem similar to "Ellison's" passionate defense of Glenn Greenwald? You be the judge:
You have quite an obsession with Siegel! Sounds to me like you're an envious young writer. I mean, first you have a wife and two kids, and now you're a poor young lawyer with time to write extended tirades against Siegel. ... Every young writer in NYC has it in for poor Siegel it seems. They all write like middle-aged hacks. He has the fire and guts of a young man (I assume he's middle-aged himself, or somewhere near there.) Who am I? Someone who knows who you are....
I guess if you can't get into TNR's pages, writing envious, obsessive screeds in response to a TNR blog is the next best thing.
...
You're a fraud, and a liar. And a wincingly pretentious writer. You couldn't tie Siegel's shoelaces.
Siegel also played Greenwald's game of explicitly claiming not to be Siegel. Remember how one of Greenwald's puppets had to "email Glenn" in order to get a response/reply to a question?
Thanks to Allah Pundit at Hot Air.
Remember when everyone was defending Greenwald by stating he'd never resort to sock-puppetry, he'd just defend himself under his own name?
Well, Lee Siegel seems to prove that when you're basically engaging in puffery, many prefer to do it under a sock-puppet alias.

Thanks to Larwyn.
Note: I've been dying to use that joke. I just hope Larwyn turns out to be a chick, or the next flamewar is gonna suck for Ol' Jack.

In a bit of blogosphere scandal kismet, the Nate Noy, an independent write-in Congressional candidate (i.e., a fruitcake with no shot), got caught sock-puppeting in a post trashing his allegations that an opponent of his had been photoshopped into a newspaper picture showing her finishing a marathon. Making a false fauxtography claim, he got busted sock-puppetting. When worlds collide.
At least he admitted his sock-puppetry.
Lee Siegel, on the other hand, seems to have gone the Glenn Greenwald route. Confronted with evidence the sock-puppet posts originated from his IP address, he seems to have invoked the defense that he wasn't truly the author.
After an investigation, The New Republic has determined that the comments in our Talkback section defending Lee Siegel's articles and blog under the username "sprezzatura" were produced with Siegel's participation.
That sounds to me like Siegel made the Glenn Greenwald Magic Cabana Boy defense. Unable to prove that Siegel himself and not his own Magic Cabana Boy wrote the posts, TNR concluded, it seems, that at the very least the sock-puppet posts were done with Siegel's participation.
You'd think he'd've learned from Hiltzik and Glenn Ellison Wilson Ellensberg Ellers Greenwald. That bullshit just doesn't work. Except, of course, with Greenwald's Cultists, who are apparently prepared to believe just about anything as long as there's a "Bush Sucks" in there somewhere along the way. (And of course there always is.)
Here's a P-shop about Glenn Greenwald I missed the first time around.
I think there's a sickness of the ego in cases like this. To put oneself out into public discussion, one needs to have a pretty big ego in the first place. But it has to be the sort of ego that can accept a bit of bruising here and there without going all goofy. It seems strange that one could inject oneself into public debate and yet have the craving to post defenses of oneself under a different name intended to create the notion of wider-spread support.
The most egoistical people are also usually the most insecure. I'm pretty sure that's the case with me, or at least it was, until some bruising years knocked my ego down to size. (Now I'm just insecure.)
Thanks to Dan Riehl, who's pitching his own high-concept political project to the BBC.
(And that last tip, btw, is thanks to Larwyn.)
