— Ace A returning veteran suspected his wife of cheating on him while he was in Iraq.
The proof? His home Wii system had a player profile -- a "Mii" -- that looked an awful lot like his the man he suspected his wife was having an affair with.
She confessed she'd handled his nunchuck and now they're divorced.

— Ace The Fool On The Hill.
For someone who's so worried about exploiting the environment he seems to exploit it with relish himself.
I suppose he's in favor of this brand of fascist environmentalism. Because it seems the only way to make him go green, as he exhorts the rest of us, is via state coercion.
Mayer Hillman, senior fellow emeritus at the Policy Studies Institute, says… the problems caused by burning fossil fuels are so serious that governments might have to implement rationing against the will of the people. “When the chips are down I think democracy is a less important goal than is the protection of the planet from the death of life, the end of life on it,” he says. “This has got to be imposed on people whether they like it or not.”
The left likes talking about the Reichstag Fire, cooking up a supposed threat to society that justifies a fascist takeover.
All this time we thought they were making hysterical warnings. They weren't. They were plotting strategy.

— Ace He's so tough, at least to fellow greenies, they call him "the hard man."

Hard as nails. Polished, manicured, pretty pink nails.
He is known as the "hard man" of climate-change negotiation. But after 12 exhausting days of trying to reach a worldwide agreement on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, it was suddenly all too much for Yvo de Boer.
As the 200-nation Bali conference wrangled over a minor procedural matter, the Dutch diplomat in charge of the talks burst into tears and had to be led away by colleagues.
Moments earlier, Mr de Boer had been warning delegates that failure to reach an agreement on global warming could "plunge the world into conflict".
...
Mr de Boer, distinctively dressed in a floral shirt, stepped up to the microphone to defend his staff - only to find that the words would no longer come.
As his unfinished sentences trailed away, he broke down and walked off the platform to supportive applause.
"He wasn't just wiping his eyes, he was in floods of tears," said one observer.
"Three colleagues - one of them a woman - formed a protective group around him and escorted him out of the hall. It was all very dramatic."
I'll bet.

— Ace ?Not much here besides the headline. I just put on FoxNews but they're not talking about it. I assume it's an accident, or else the place would be evacuated.
Correction: 700 people were evacuated from the building... I guess they've kept on a skeleton staff to keep broadcasting?
Update: This article clarifies: it was the building FoxNews is housed in that suffered the explosion, though it had nothing to do with FoxNews. The explosion was in a heating/cooling system room on the 45th floor, while FoxNews is actually in the building's basement (save for a couple of studios with windows on NY, I guess).

— Ace Kind of looks like a generic blow-'em-up action movie. Not sure why they're trying to sell this on explosions and machine-gun fire.
I don't think Heath Ledger sounds like the Joker (or what I'd think he would sound like) but at least his laugh is pretty good. It could have been scarier, though.
Coming a bit sooner than that is this superhero movie:
Via Hot Air.

— Ace Hoping to get close enough to blow Nessie up with a bomb-vest, I guess.
An east London electrician accused of having terror ties claimed he was not attending training camps but hunting for the Loch Ness Monster during a trip to Scotland with other terror suspects, the Scottish Daily Record reported Saturday.Kader Ahmed, 20, who faces three counts of attending a place used for terrorist training, told a U.K. court that he visited Inverness and Loch Ness three years ago with a group organized by preacher Mohammed Hamid, the Daily Record reported. Four members of this group have been convicted in the July 21, 2005 London bomb plot.
If I could photoshop I guess I'd put up a picture of Nessie wearing a yarmulke and prayer-shawls, but I can't, so just imagine it I guess.
Thanks to Vernon.

— Purple Avenger Japanese scientists have produced genetically modified mice that don't fear cats.
Instead of scurrying away or playing dead, the GM rodents were able to carry on as usual when coming face-to-face with a cat.The possibilities here are endless. Vampires that don't fear light. Aquatic cats that don't fear water. Humans that don't fear clowns and mimes. Hobos that don't fear Ace, etc...Professor of biophysics and biochemistry at Tokyo University, Ko Kobayakawa, explained the procedure.
He said: "Mice fear cats because they are innately conditioned to express fear when they sense the odour of predators.
"So, by getting rid of the specific receptors for sensing the odour, mice never feel afraid of cats."
