Bastards: Obama Cultist Takes Sign from McCain/Palin Supporter And Bashes Her In the Face With It; Media Not Interested, Too Busy Conjuring "Kill Him!" Shouts out of Thin Air
— Ace

You. Rotten. Bastards. Do you support beating women, Senator Obama?

Ben Smith at The Politico calls such McCain/Palin rallies in New York "rare."

Gee, I wonder why, Ben.

I also wonder why a source would only be willing to tell you the details of the Obama-Ayers relationship anonymously.

PS: This story is a month old. In addition, charges of second-degree assault have in fact been filed by a Manhattan Assistant DA against him. He goes to court in January.

In other words, this story is confirmed and has actual law-enforcement involvement -- unlike those "Kill him!" shouts, which a "baffled" Secret Service agent says were actually shouts of "Tell them!"

And yet, the MSM is not interested.

Ben Smith, to his minor credit, manages a two paragraph stub about this. But having posted his stub about it, that's the last we'll hear of it. And of course the MSM will not mention this at all.

And I doubt we'll see "vetting" of this woman-assaulting Obama supporter like we see in the case of Joe the Plumber.

Correction: Nuts. I wrote that I had gotten a picture from Ari of this "rally."

I was wrong -- they were close int time and place, but they were actually not the same.

Mine took place on 86th and Lex on September 10th.

The assault took place on 51st and Lex, on September 15th.

Apologies -- the date and the location (Lexington) were so close I thought it was the same "rally."

I guess those rallies weren't quite rare, as it turns out.

Or at least they weren't until hateful twisted Obama Cultists began smashing women in the face with sticks for daring to wave a McCain/Palin placard.

Anyone notice a general trend in how those who oppose The One are treated?

Anyway, here's the picture of a similar New York City mini-rally on the Upper East Side, back when people believed that in America one could express a political opinion without being assaulted.

My Bad: Unlike the MSM, I don't have the heart to "vet" this asshole. He deserves it, Joe the Plumber doesn't, but I don't want to encourage it.

It's my bad, but please don't post anything more about him in the comments.

Not a Threat! It just sounds like one.

Fort Bend County authorities said Thursday they have dropped criminal charges against a woman who confronted a pickup driver about a bumper sticker that depicted a little boy urinating on the name "Obama."

Angry words, maybe, but no immediate threat to do serious bodily harm. That was the conclusion of the District Attorney's Office in dismissing a terroristic threat charge that grew out of the July dispute.

...

District Attorney John Healey said the misdemeanor charge against Gragg has been dropped. In court documents, McKain said Gragg confronted him, pledging she would "get someone to take care of him later" if he didn't remove the sticker.

Obviously not a threat.

Dare to Believe

The Pessimistic Palooka connives a political metaphor out of a heavy underdog's defeat of an NBA star on his own court.

This post, it should be noted, is racist, and needs to be investigated by the DoJ as an illegal attempt to "suppress the vote."

Obama Wants to Prosecute Those Seeking to Prevent Vote Fraud
— Ace

Breathtaking.

Barack Obama's campaign attorney today asked Attorney General Michael Mukasey to add a probe into allegedly false Republican claims of voter fraud to the investigation into the firings of U.S. attorneys.

Republican voter-fraud accusations ``seek both to suppress the vote and to unduly influence investigations and prosecutions,'' wrote Robert Bauer, general counsel for the Democratic presidential nominee.

Bloomberg Walk-Back? Or Cover-Up? The Bloomberg story that JWF and I quote did contain that quote.

It no longer does. Claire writes:

I checked the Bloomberg article that JammieWearinFool cited -- it's different than you and he quoted.

Now it's all about the news leaks.

Googlenews still has the "Mukasey to add a probe into allegedly false Republican claims of voter fraud" word string in it. Just not the article it points to....
[screencapped]

The wind is chillier than I thought.

Now, Bloomberg's quote was, indeed, a quote. They quoted specific language from a letter.

Did they really err in reporting this? Or did Obama simply demand they retract?

Hmm... Well, now when I click on the article, the story still says that Obama is demanding an investigation into those who allege voter fraud, but the quote from the letter is disappeared.

Seems to be a work in progress.

Re: "Vetting" the Media
— Ace

watchmen_smiley.gif

A lot of people want to know why we shouldn't begin "vetting" the media -- and by "vetting," I do in fact mean vetting. I mean starting a fund to put fucking detectives on them and begin outing them, one by one:

In the closet.

Hits his wife.

Fucking her editor.

Stoned out of his mind on coke half the time.

Etc.

And to reduce costs, I'm sure some budding citizen journalists-detectives would be wiling to take a night a week following these bastards around, taking pictures.

The media's position that Joe the Plumber who merely asked a question must be "vetted" out of existence certainly supports the full-blown "vetting" of them.

After all, far more turns on the questions they ask and... refuse to ask, more importantly.

Will we do this?

I've had angry phases where I was within inches of proposing just this. Even starting a corporation with limited liability protections to do so.

It may be time.

But not now. There are only two weeks left. The media isn't changing. They are in the tank for Obama; this is the full-court press. If we "got" one or two of these bastards by election day, what effect? None.

However, I have been loathe to even post such a notion in the past. It's too ugly, too vicious.

Not anymore.

It is their own "rule" -- those who ask questions that harm one's preferred candidate must be hounded and harassed and humiliated until they are silenced.

If this is the rule they impose on everyday citizens, it's time for everyday citizens to impose it on them.

Yes, this is where we're headed. And while I used to greet the prospect with disgust, now I'm comfortable with it.

It is their own "rule."

They will have to live by it, same as all of us.

Joe the Plumber was the last straw.

He was the last "freebie."

Pakistan Joins The Bombing Campaign
— Dave in Texas

With some energy! For show?

Perhaps. It might indicate they still care about our objectives in the region.

Or not. I'm satisfied they're bombing to keep our love.

And I don't mind using the scalpel to remind them why.

Has anyone put a pencil to this point of diminishing returns? Beyond, you know, historical precedent?

Charity Begins at Home with State "Over-the-Horizon Wealth Redeployment" Bureaucrats
— Ace

A bit of optimism for you all -- perhaps Barack Obama won't be a socialist.

There is solid evidence that when he's previously had the chance to "spread the wealth," he passed on the opportunity.

"Fairness:" Big old smorghastborg of Republican hate at Betsy's page.

In fact, he told Charlie Gibson just that in the Philadelphia primary debate in April. Back then he acknowledged that even if a hike in the capital gains tax rates had a history of bringing in less revenue, he’d be in favor of it because of “fairness.” There he was — spreading the wealth, regardless of the economic consequences.

Perhaps the MSM needs to "vet" Charlie Gibson for eliciting that embarrassing answer.

And quoting from Commentary's Jennifer Rubin:

The liberal media throng and Democratic elites never learn the right lesson. ItÂ’s been only a month since they vilified Sarah Palin, leading to a gigantic backlash and the largest surge in John McCainÂ’s standing in the polls yet. But they didnÂ’t learn. They are at it again with Joe the Plumber and, once again, are exercising no self-restraint.

They don’t, at bottom, respect non-elites from middle America or listen to their concerns. They treat them as cartoon characters or as frauds sent to foil their own quest for power. So they set upon Joe the Plumber in the mistaken view that what was significant about the interchange with Barack Obama were Joe’s concerns. And–surprise, surprise–you’ve got the makings of a backlash.

There are two problems with the approach of the Obama supporters. One, as with the Palin feeding frenzy and Bittergate, it convinces ordinary voters that the Democrats are vicious snobs. Two, it doesnÂ’t address the problem: voters may begin to suspect that Obama is fixated on wealth re-distribution. ThatÂ’s the idea the Democrats should be working to dispel. But since they canÂ’t imagine that the public would have a problem with raising taxes in a recession, they donÂ’t even bother to reassure voters that of course Obama wants the private sector to grow and of course he understands that you must tread carefully in tax-burdening small businessmen.

The McCain team must be pinching themselves: they can hardly believe their luck that the Democrats have attacked an everyman and prolonged a dangerous storyline. The only question remaining: will they keep it up? McCain couldnÂ’t be that lucky, could he?

"Seething:" Over the media's and hard left's (but I repeat myself) determination to "vet" a fucking plumber who asked a question rather than a presidential candidate who answered it.

Plumbing the Depths of the NYT's Campaign to Smear Citzens Who Won't Fall in Line
— Ace

Good fisking from Treacher.

Just to gaslight Obama's cultists further, the "Goperative" Joe "The Plumber" Wurzelbacher (aka Agent X-88 Delta) made certain he lived for a couple of years at an air force base... in Alaska.

In. Alaska. And you know what that means.

He lived there, apparently (and who knows if this is even accurate) for a spell in the mid-nineties, back when Sarah Palin was just becoming mayor of a town Wurzelbacher did not live and thus could hardly have been expected to have even heard of her (do you know the names of all the mayors in your state?), but it proves... something.

What?

Not sure. But the MSM is on the case. Surely there is something nefarious about Wurzelbacher's "close relationship" with Sarah Palin.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama not only launched his political career in the living room of a pair of unrepentant terrorists, but furthermore, reportedly those unrepentant terrorists babysat for his children, but that's a "flimsy relationship" we needn't explore.

What Did Rahm Emmanuel Know About Tim Mahoney, and When Did He Know It?
— Ace

(PUMAs please skip.)

Rahm Emmanuel had a little chat with Tim Mahoney about... something, and days later his mistress was off the payroll.

Note that his mistress was off the payroll, and not "Tim Mahoney was off the ballot."

This is not the Most Ethical Congress in History I thought I knew.

Gee, remember when the media vigorously promoted a sex scandal before an election 24/7 and blamed the party for not taking positive action to drum out the beast?

Yeah.... Good times, good times.

AP Oversamples Dems In New Poll... And Can Only Come Out with a Statistical Tie
— Ace

OMG: They actually didn't even note this remarkable finding, and of course the most interesting data in the poll, in the headline.

Wait, did I say they didn't mention the 44-42 result in the headline? I meant they didn't mention it in the entire article.

It could be that they think this is an outlier and so don't want to promote the result they got.

However, the MSM has no problem at all vigorously promoting outlier results which show The One Who Spreads the Wealth up by 15 or more points.

So:

1) They don't believe the poll;

or

2) They don't want to believe the poll.

Or some combination of those together.
