I remember the first time my daughter saw Santa Clause at the mall. She was none too happy about it. And, when I took her to the circus for the first time, and she saw the clowns, she was similarly having nothing to do with them either. Yet, despite the occasional and jarring contact with the masked or make-up covered characters associated with Christmas or with the three-ring circus, I tried to keep her nightmares to a minimum.

I wish I could say the same of these parents.

My grays are so stubborn that the colorist has to put me under the dryer for about 20 minutes in order to open up the cuticle. I keep saying that, some day, I'm going to have him strip away the color and go natural. "Some day" has not yet arrived. If you do decide to go natural, check with a good stylist for options. You might not have to endure the awkwardness of growing it out.

59 grammie winger, ONE time I colored my hair. the lady at the drugstore helped me pick a nice "natural" color. well, didn't I just have hair the color of an orange popsicle the next day! my mom toned it down (she was a dedicated colorer of her own hair), but then I just let it grow out. Still have pics somewhere of that line of demarcation getting farther and farther down, until I could cut off the icky part. Not that much fun! But, once it's done, you are FREE of all that time-consuming pita thing you have to do every 3 weeks and I bet it will look great!

Yes, my Mom thought I enjoyed both Santa and the Easter Bunny. They seemed important to her so I just kind of went along. As a child, I was really super considerate....

The only thing I really enjoyed were petting zoos that they occasionally had a the mall. Mom had a great story about a goat eating my coat. Which I kind of remember, but honestly, I was busy feeding the other animals. How was I supposed to know that a goat was eating my coat?

Her hair is gray and white, and also really short, a pixie cut, but she looks great. That could be a solution for growing it out. Go short for a while.

Honestly, the study is not that upsetting. Girly girls are more likely to tan and expose themselves to the possibility of skin cancer. Quell horror!
