So let me see if I can wrap my mind around this shock. The third installment of a wildy-successful family franchise (and family franchises tend to be big box office generally) is actually tracking better than the "hyped" Borat film, which is, you know, a cult film. (If it's lucky.)

But come on. Who does this surprise, really? This rates a Drudge headline? I have to read Nikki Finke's site to know that a huge Hollywood release with a proven trackrecord and big built-in family audience is going to sell more tickets than a low-budget movie based on a cult comedy act?

I question the timing.

In an accident witnessed by a group that included Barbara Walters and screenwriters Nora Ephron and Nicholas Pileggi, Wynn accidentally poked a hole in Picasso's 74-year-old painting, "Le Reve," French for "The Dream."

A day earlier, Wynn had finalized a record $139 million deal for the painting of Picasso's mistress, Wynn told The New Yorker magazine

The accident occurred as a gesturing Wynn, who suffers from retinitis pigmentosa, an eye disease that affects peripheral vision, struck the painting with his right elbow, leaving a hole the size of a silver dollar in the left forearm of Marie-Theresa Walter, Picasso's 21-year-old mistress.

A videotape that the prosecution presented to the judge shows Boghnat encouraging and directing rioters in Bil’in to throw large chunks of rock at Israeli vehicles in such a way as to cause maximum damage. The accused is heard shouting, “Throw, throw!” and later, “Throw towards the little window!”

The cameraman's name But the idiotic western media simply pretends they can hire very politically biased folks from the Arabic world and treat their reportage as genuine. They simply won't acknowlege these people come from an entirely different media culture, where there is no distinction between reportage and editorial, where there is not the slightest pretense of objectivity, and where sensationalism is a positive virtue.

A lot of them are hustlers. They're trying to make a buck by delivering the most blood and guts and red meat coverage possible. And also trying to influence western media, and thereby influence western government decisonmaking.

Reuters and the rest won't acknowledge this problem, because 1) these guys know the area, 2) they won't get kidnapped like a Westerner would, 3) they work cheap, and 4) they don't mind the extreme anti-American and anti-Israeli bias coming from them.

Upate: Allah just updated-- the Reuters objective neutral apolitical journalist may have been throwing rocks himself, too.

Mike Tyson says he may include bouts with women on his next tour, and mentioned professional boxer Ann Wolfe, who is 21-1 with 15 knockouts.

I'm thinking about hunger for winning. And I'm wondering why conservatives have turned off the Republican Party due to missteps/insufficient ideological purity whereas liberals seem just fine with much, if not most, of the Democratic Party voting in favor of this legislation, which of course they despise.

Best Last Post I Have Ever Read

When I discovered blogging it was a way to share my political views and my faith. I never had a tip jar or asked for money because just you reading me and giving me a voice was all I needed to write.

But after the Houston Chronicle asked me to blog and then Michelle Malkin asked me to video blog at HotAir, I realized that this blog had become more about me than about what was important to me.

The times in my life when I have been the happiest have been when things were about others and not about me.

So I have to go.

I can't add anything, and I hope she is out brightening someone's day today instead of reading blog comments.

So, you know, there's no point really watching the whole thing.

There was almost no offense in this game. Almost all the big plays were interceptions, strips/fumbles, and then that punt return. Still, it was exciting. If you're going to have a defensive battle, have some fireworks and defensive scoring in it.
