I would say an option before letting it all burn would be to move to 100 pct POC policing and police forces or POC's respond to all calls involving a POC's

Its because of the twitter embeds in the post. This is an issue with those. It is like that on the normal site too. Site loads, drops you down to your "previous" spot and then the twitter interface loads in. The number of new comments have an effect though as well. So if somehow there are a ton of new comments you might get lucky and actually wind up at the right spot.

Lots of easily "resellable" tools and hardware in those stores, and not an insignificant number of guys in bad neighborhoods do their own basic car maintenance, so parts matter too. The sadder thing is burning down those stores knowing full well they likely won't be rebuilt anytime soon.

Someone needs to FOIA the shooting officer's personnel file. Neither may be true, although 2 has more of an effect than 1. But I think they believe it is true. And I think it shows that they will do anything to keep both still in effect.
They're simultaneously giddy with power and scared shitless of the monsters they are creating. However, it is their nature to ignore risk so they'll keep going down this route and hope locking the peasants down while feeding us to their monsters will keep the plates spinning.

The stop was bad practice. One cop tried to handcuff the perp in the open drivers door with the keys in the ignition will the senior cop watched.
A struggle ensued, the perp got back into the car to drive away and the senior cop pulled her Glock thinking, who knows why, that it was her tazer. She yelled Taser Taser! so the first copy would let go and then shot the perp in the chest. He said oww oww and drove away and she said Shit, I shot him. Video ends.

The stupidest part of the budgeting debate was that the current police chief himself was advocating, roughly 18 months ago, for bumping the officer count (including reserves) from 650-700 to 880. There was a big push from the downtown business associations as well. But, then, George Floyd happened, and everyone, including the chief, has been acting as if budget cuts are not only appropriate, but necessary and deserved. Unofficially, active duty count this winter was as low as 450, probably closer to 500, excluding retirements, mental health medical leave, etc. There was a supplemental $8m budget increase end of last year, but that was passed by the city council knowing there was no active academy class to expand officer count until 2022. It's such an ass backwards, self-defeating clusterfuck. The only way Minneapolis is surviving at this point is by bringing in reserves from neighboring counties, state patrols, and the National Guard. Metro police is woefully understaffed to protect the city during heightened crime, and everyone knows it.
