I thought that some of the metaphysical imagery was really particularly effective. Interesting rhythmic devices too, which seemed to counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor of the humanity of the dancers' compassionate soul -- which contrives through the medium of the dance structure to sublimate this, transcend that, and come to terms with the fundamental dichotomies of the other, and one is left with a profound and vivid insight into ... into ... er ... whatever it was that the dance was about.

Lucky bastard. I envy you your good fortune. Always wanted to hunt elk, just never worked out.

I've been hunting elk for 15 years now...haven't killed one yet.

In all that time I have loosed one arrow (deflected off a pencil sized twig at 35 yds and sailed high), chambered one round and got so far as to take the safety off on my rifle but never fired as I couldn't get a clear shot.

That's it.  Hundreds of miles.  Tens of thousands of vertical feet.  No love.

Without access to a large section of private ground, it is difficult to get on them consistantly.  They lock up on the big ranches and settle in for the season.

Still, I am lucky to get to chase the thought of elk around the hills.
