— Ace The NCAA is determined to make women's sports into transexual sports.
The NCAA is "closely†keeping tabs on states including Florida that are moving to ban transgender athletes from playing girls’ sports, warning in a statement Monday that locations that don’t treat all student-athletes with "dignity and respect†could lose out on hosting championship games.
While not mentioning Florida by name, the statement from the NCAA Board of Governors comes just one day before the House will take up a bill clarifying that female sports teams are specifically for "biological†women and girls. State lawmakers were quick to criticize the NCAA’s take on the issue.
"When determining where championships are held, NCAA policy directs that only locations where hosts can commit to providing an environment that is safe, healthy and free of discrimination should be selected,†the NCAA Board of Governors wrote...
The Florida Senate took a planned vote on the measure OFF the agenda, even as the House prepares to vote, proving that corporations do in fact now serve as unelected superlegislatures across the country.

So Vanish. Make a new, competing collegiate sports governance organization. Aggressively recruit mid-tier schools outside of Florida and actively recruit top-tier schools. Do not recruit from the SEC, to cause their subsequent steamrolling of *everyone* to blow back on the NCAA and ramp up the pressure.
Fuck 'em.

The NCAA directed this threat against Oklahoma also. This State is considering similar legislation, is the planned site for the 2022 NCAA wrestling finals, and in the rotation for regional basketball. I don't think the people and legislature are impressed with those threats, especially as momentum builds.Canceling both OK and FL would be a very expensive problem for the NCAA. Now FL and OK can work together on a new governance system even more people can help with recruiting schools into it with some seriously big names to act as anchors.
Posted by: IronDave at April 13, 2021 02:31 PM (k3crU)
I think the NCAA might actually be suicidal (or they're stupid, or they know that the fix is in and they can virtue-signal through a pressure campaign with no consequences).

Florida has some major draws in collegiate football and I suspect in basketball, too. The NCAA will notice if they vanish.

nah, the florida schools won't vanish, just the championship games, which i can't remember the last one i saw in florida anyway. so probably not a huge deal in the end.
unless this gets the ncaa noticed for anti-trust and other implications...

Sorry, just kidding.
Well I suppose this is in the "meh, OK, whatever" category. Temporarily useful, possibly.
But what's he smoking? "The American people" are doing, have done, and are going to do, whatever they're told to do. Dude, when do you think this is, 1985 or something?
And it's darkly comical, the NCAA of course now being vectored to focus on the racist-authoritarian-corporatists'* new sole target: FL, in fact DeSantis. Trump, for 4 years, the sole target. Now Ron. The *entire* social infrastructure, not just the "ramparts", are now weaponized and easily directed at any target that is deemed worthy. Gleichschaltung - live it, taste it, despair over it.

No, sorry. "The Director's Cut" was, but somehow became exorbitantly priced and unavailable on Amazon. I need to put it back up in a revised, affordable print version, but I haven't had the energy to do it (depression, dontcha know).
"Thirteen Moons" was always a short Kindle story.
If I ever finish it, or if a publisher picks it up, "The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of" will be print and kindle.

Anyway, I like the idea of the NCAA being abandoned and other organizations springing up.
The circumstances in this arena, unlike others, might actually allow such a thing to happen. A natural, "market" fix (flee, create your own network).
But that the NCAA can even pursue this, at all, is redundant confirmation of the cultural collapse. Women's sports being ruined, in the most ridiculous way, and ...... crickets from the country's population, outside a few states. Pathetic, and revealing.

Will be curious to see what happens in Arkansas as well. They have the consensus No. 1 team in baseball and they regularly host both regional and super regional NCAA tournament games because they have a huge fan base and turn out 12,000 to 13,000 fans for college baseball games. Thing is if they move it, Arkansas fans will show up en masse wherever they go but they will be screwing the best team in the country out of their home field advantage.

So it may make sense for Florida/Georgia/etc. to revoke any license, authorization, or privilege for these corporations to conduct business in the State having already announced that they're sanctioning the State (as if they were governments unto themselves) and refusing to be bound by its legal codes.
If Coca-Cola wants to divorce itself from Georgia, then fine - make the divorce complete. No more wagging your finger at the people's representatives while hawking your brown diabetes water in Georgia. If the juice is worth the squeeze, let it be so. If not, shut the fuck up and have a Coke and a smile.
And it occurs to me that if a publicly traded corporate interest announces that it can withstand insulting half the American market with superfluous political nonsense, that corporate interest is indeed not concerned about competition in the marketplace and this is de facto evidence of monopoly.

Eh, if I were a cop, I wouldn't be too bothered about those two quitting. If a senior police officer pops a round into someone thinking they're tazing them, that a SERIOUS whoopsie-doodle. The potential for confusing less-lethal with lethal weapons is well known and well understood. Most departments have extensive training on this. This shooting, even though a thug was the one shot, potentially exposes a massive hole in their training. If there was a training issue resulting in a death, the Chief of Police SHOULD quit.
I know, lots of assumptions there. If my assumptions are wrong, I'll happily re-evaluate my position.

All the red states should get together and forbid NCAA or any organization to represent sports that allow genetic males to play against women.
Or, simply force a withdrawal from the NCAA, and form their own sports organization.
The NCAA can sponsor Harvard VS SW New Hampshire State football and see how far that gets them.

I think we're making a category error when we take the slogan "Black Lives Matter" literally or seriously.
The evidence from several high profile occurrences surely seems to lead to the conclusion that what is demanded is that "Black People Can Do Whatever They Want" and that they are not bound by the criminal law. The criticism of police procedures is simply an after-the-fact justification for why, for example in this case, a traffic stop for expired registration which leads to the discovery of an open firearms related warrant should be ignored. The proliferation of guns is one of the most important problems in America, but not this guy's gun. Also, you'd better not drive with an expired registration, whitey.
In the Floyd case, no one is even giving a constructive explanation of what the officers should have done - it's just tacitly presumed that if a black guy doesn't feel like being arrested today, you have to take that and go back to the station or something. After all, if he won't come willingly and you have to use force and he dies some people might just raze a few medium sized American cities.

In a previous instance however we've got a perp accidentally killing himself in the back of a van and the cops getting blamed. There's not a course of action in some cases that the cops can take to avoid the leftist reaction, even with 20/20 hindsight.

You're probably correct here but the issue is that there are roughly 40,000,000 blacks in the U.S., a disproportionate share (particularly young and young-ish men) involved in serious criminal activity. The odds dictate that things like this are going to happen, and they're going to happen enough in spite of the best training, practices, etc. that the Press will be able to spin them into a politically useful and socially destructive narrative.
On a more granular level I'm willing to wager that people like Floyd and Wright and others like them resist arrest because it works a good share of the time. Enough cops are fat, lazy, close to retirement, just punching a clock, etc. that if you wiggle away and get back home you don't have to deal with the legal consequences of your conduct (at least until next time, when you try again). Of course, resisting and evading arrest is an escalation of force and creates increased stress on the part of the responding officers and increases the likelihood that mistakes will be made some of which will be fatal (for the perp, the officer, or both).
The wages of this, as we are already seeing, is increased violent crime. At a base level, cops are like human garbage men - they handle the smelly, disgusting, dangerous transactions so everyone else doesn't have to. Doesn't have to even think about it. But this will come to suburbia, and nice white ladies with BLM Facebook status updat6es will have to have more interactions with the George Floyds, Mike Browns, and Daunte Wrights of the world than they now do.

UMC on up is pushing degeneracy because it is fashionable, and have been for a long time. As to why it is fashionable, that's a harder question to answer. There are multiple potential causes, from niche interest groups who were made popular because of how transgressive the causes are, or it could be top down from high ranking decadents. Could be both.

The teacher describes a system of indoctrination where questioning any of the dogma is forbidden and they had all the teachers read a statement to the students "Events from last week compel us to underscore some aspects of our mission and share some thoughts about our community,†the statement began. "At independent schools, with their history of predominantly white populations, racism colludes with other forms of bias (sexism, classism, ableism and so much more) to undermine our stated ideals, and we must work hard to undo this history.â€
This is how fascism works. They push and push, and no dissent is allowed. Not because they care about the handful of disturbed men who want to play ball with girls, but because it is not about that, it is about power.
They have to push and push and push, and they have to punish all who resist because their goal is not to have men play ball with women; their goal is to have total control over everything. If they all resistance, some people will get the idea that it is OK to think, and they might question bigger things. Like the corrupt moron in the WH, or the wealth they are stealing from the public, or the crime they are inviting through our borders.
In fascism, all dissent must be punished, and reality is distorted to invite dissent just to find out who needs to be punished.

Once you establish that a toddler (and older) has the autonomy to determine his/her gender identity (which is necessarily tied into sexual identity), then sliding into the notion that a toddler then also has the autonomy to give consent is practically automatic.

Anyone who has frontline knowledge of the criminal justice system today knows this to be the case. It's everywhere, from the state judges, to the county/municipal prosecutors, the state legislators and the administrative apparatus.
There was no politically-acceptable way to reduce the levels of crime in poor minority neighborhoods, so they chose to stop enforcing the laws. In many states, when an arrest is made, there is no cash bail, just a summons to appear. It takes many arrests to obtain a conviction, and many convictions to be given jail / prison time. All along the way, the criminal justice system is being changed to dispense social services. I've said it here before, but the nomenclature has changed too -- convicts are now the "clients" of the parole system.
So far, the system staggers on, because those who wield power in the system are buffered from the effects.

The black illegitimacy rate was considered scandalous in the 1960s, when it was around 25%. It's now closer to 70%. The white illegitimacy rate now well exceeds the 1960s black illegitimacy rate. Nationwide, it stands at about 40% across all groups (the CDC data doesn't break out whites in the more recent data (2019, in this case) - only providing subset data for black, hipsanic and non-hispanic native groups - odd), marked deterioration since the 1960s.
Black families are on the leading edge of the deterioration, but it has been a pan-racial phenomenon. There are a lot of family and marital law reasons for this (divorce doesn't help with containing the growth single-parent homes, though it has no effect on illegitimacy at conception), but there are also major cultural effects. Shotgun weddings rarely happen anymore, for example, so premarital affairs resulting in children no longer have dual-parent household formation imposed upon the actors as a consequence. This may result in fewer unhappy marriages, but it has its own costs.
We have seriously broken our family culture across the board over the past 2-3 generations.

1. It's not training. Who here has never pointed their phone at the TV to lower the volume? It is a problem of muscle memory and the more training, the more automatic it is, and the easier it is to screw up under stress.
2. It's called "less lethal" for a reason, and so it was not as bad as it seems. Bullets are like .. what, I guess 10% lethal? tazer is like .1%? anyway, if either is appropriate, both are.
3. The solution is the equipment. It has to have a feedback in the muscle memory part of the action. She knew to yell "tazer, tazer, tazer", so she was trained. But there needs to be a physical thing you do to a tazer that you can not do to a glock. Something to interrupt the muscle memory so higher brain can realize the mistake.

And yes, that includes gay marriage. All of this shit is just the next step in a plan laid out decades ago. Get gay marriage, then get confusing gender bullshit. Then get NAMBLA and all the horrors of child abuse.
And oddly enough, I doubt the people pushing this even want any of that crap for real. The end goal, as others have pointed out, is collapsing the system via chaos, debt, welfare and untenable mountains of ridiculous rules that no one can follow.

You can not allow any dissent. People will disagree, but if anyone ever expresses that disagreement, even privately, they will form a resistance as others join in.
So fascism becomes totalitarianism. It requires constant monitoring of every statement - every dissent. And every dissent must be crushed to prevent the dissenters from realizing they are not alone.
That is the goal here - to punish dissent in order to prevent anyone from ever expressing dissent ever again.

[qote] Finding pole, she says, helped her find that love for herself. It helped her heal. Most recently, it helped her make another big change in her pastoral life. For most of her ministry days, she was part of a mainline Christian denomination. In those church spaces, she didn’t share much about pole dancing.
"There were still people who would judge me or never were comfortable with that piece of my life,†Martin said. And she was tired of hiding it. She found a local church, part of the Metropolitan Community Church, which Martin says is "all about total love and acceptance.â€
The denomination is perhaps best known for applying that acceptance to the LGBTQ community, which Martin pointed out. "I’m straight, by the way,†she says. "I just identify with people who have been oppressed in some way.â€

If some broad isn't able to get a sports scholarship and has to skip school and god forbid find and marry a guy before she's 35, that's a good thing.

If you watch the way she was holding the weapon, it appears to me that she had her wrist cocked at an upward angle , not locked, protecting herself from the recoil.
I was going to joke about that I thought it looked like she was holding a spray bottle.
Her muscle memory may have been displaying the fact that she thought was holding a Taser instead of a pistol, prepared for a recoil.
She also maybe oddly turned the pistol to the side just after the shot, maybe recognizing that it wasn't what she thought it was.
