Fauci seems like a great example of a "doctor" made to be a bureaucrat. You don't want him actually practicing medicine or doing actual research. So stick him on the board or whatever.
Ever notice what you never hear about Fauci from the media? "World renowned physician." "Graduated at the top of his class." All that garbage. They hated Ben Carson but even they would acknowledge that he was a brilliant surgeon. They've got nothing for Fauci other than Dr. and he's a government flunky.

Windows gets worse with every iteration.
The most aggravating thing, other than the bloated underlying OS, by far is the, hey let's move everything you finally got used to where it is to completely random places and bury it four levels deep.
And Windows 10 ups the anti by not just being a crappy OS but also being spyware masquerading as an OS.

This is so.
The other day, Outlook on my work VDIs decided that it was going to be on top of other windows at all times, unless it was minimized. Even if it was a smaller window, it was going to float on top of the other windows. The fix - obviously - was to change every registry key for "LoadBehavior" from 0 to 3 or some bullshit like that, I don't remember. Anyway, it worked, inexplicably.
Presumably, lots of people just end up living with it this way, because it's not exactly intuitive to track down how to make it stop being stupid.

Well they put me out on the old Kings Road
I didn't know which way to go
There was people all around
Wearin' funny lookin' clothes
Some boys, some girls, some I don't know
[Chorus:]
I didn't know which way to go
I'm a new world boy on the old Kings Road
Rockabilly music was in the air
I looked in the door, they said,
"Come over here"
They had socks and shirts and underwear
That I'd seen before, but I don't know where
[Chorus]
A Pakistani man said, "Listen here
Let me fix you up before you go back there
You can't get 'em in the USA
Not in New York City, not in West LA."
I thought about it, said, "I don't know
I'm a new world boy on the old Kings Road"

When I started getting kicked out of places with XP Firefox I went Linux Mint and was able to down load the latest version of Firefox and Chromium so now I don't get no nasty messages about how out of date my computer is.
I went thru that phase years ago where every 18months MS would come out with a new operating system and all the current games required it to run and it wouldn't load in the old computer so you had to buy a new one with more memory faster cpu and graphics card etc.
I did that till XP came out and I hated and would not use Steam so I just run my old games now and then when I want to kill some pixels.
It's a scam I tells ya.

Lotta homeschooling parents like Saxon Math. It has a pretty effective pattern of reviewing material to help with retention.
HOWEVER, I read the preface of one of the Algebra books once which basically said, "You don't have to like math; you just have to do it. I (the author) don't like it either." And then in the unit on ratio and proportion, the text said "There's no reason this works. It just does." When I saw that, I told my student, "Yes, there is indeed a reason this works," and explained it.
I don't trust an Algebra book written by someone who doesn't like math and doesn't know why cross-multiplication works to solve a proportion.

You must have a similar reading list compared to mine.
Wiki says Alice reads a book with Jabberwocky in it but I've always had it with Humpty Dumpty reciting it to her.
Not too many people realize there'e more than one book.
I have a combined edition with leather covers and a ribbon page marker.
The only other book like that that I've ever owned was a copy of all 3 books of the Lord of the Rings.
But it wore out and fell apart and a new one is gonna be expensive so i'm waiting.
Carroll was a very odd person. Looked at the world in a very distinctly different way than most people.

I had a 2012 mazda 3 that had 175k on it when i had to total it due to water damage, about 5 years ago. it was a stick, great car, never gave me a single problem. hell the brakes lasted 125k on it.
i would have bought another one when my car died, but they changed the cockpit layout, and the stereo / nav / tablet thing literally looked like someone glued a tablet on top of the dash as a after thought. it was just TOO ugly and i hated it. i wanted another 3.
