I use Comodo firewall. Recently it just.. up and uninstalled itself. Reinstalled the latest version.
First scan, it flagged some PDF's as malware and wanted to nuke them. None of my other scan tools or AV is flagging them. All of the PDF's are copies of election lawsuit filings....

But in order to get to the socialist paradise, where every need is met by the government, where every runny nose is blown and dirty bottom is wiped by the state, to guarantee all of these things, that's where you lose your freedom, as you are no longer free to do these things your way, bur rather you must do things the state's way, else their "guarantee" of perfect safety is null and void.

I have an in-n-out and a 5 guys just down the street. 2 totally different things. In-n-out is more fast-foodish. Their fries are an acquired taste, but definitely fresh as it gets. 5 guys has a good burger, not crazy about the way it steams itself in the foil if you take it home. They take their fries seriously, but honestly I cannot even dent a small order. I like Mooyah burger (smaller chain) it's a really good burger (angus) - their fries are ok. My favorite here in CA is Habit Burger that started in Santa Barbara. It's a charbroiled burger and actually tastes like something I'd make. Their fries are very good - the best of all of them. The best thing is a combo is cheaper than a freaking quarter pounder combo at mcdonalds.

Its kind of effective in the sense that the strongman relies on the serfs for food and labor so there's a natural limit to their oppression. But yes, without a moral component, the tyranny can be pretty brutal (see Russia, where the peasants had no rights, no power, no education and basically were dirt).

I wonder if anyone every tried towing searchlights on a platform a mile or two back during a sea battle, so as to draw the enemy's fire. I seem to remember some British captain of sail doing that, but nothing since. Seems like a good idea.

I don't know dick about maneuvers at sea but I'd imagine towing anything effectively turns your vessel into the length of the tow line and barge plus your ship. And therefore limits maneuvering while increasing possible snags for others.

I don't know dick about maneuversat sea but I'd imagine towing anything effectively turns your vessel into the length of the tow line and barge plus your ship. Those are countermeasures, sonobuoys are used to find submarines and are usually dropped by aircraft.
Countermeasures are just glorified noisemakers, sometimes electronic and sometimes chemical. The idea is to raise the background noise to hide the actual submarine. We never launched one countermeasure when I was in Navy, even though we did lots of sub on sub torpedo shoots. I was trained to not have much faith in them.

I haven't really studied it, but I'd guess the "make Jesus Lord" concept was well understood for the same reason. People subjected themselves to local (worldy) lords, and basically became their servant/property, but also got protection benefits.

mRNA vaccines do nothing with the immune system. It instructs the body to create proteins to block the corona virus from attaching to cells.
