Truther Douchebag Wishes You All A Happy 9/11! [Kensington]
— Open Blog

Jonah Goldberg points to this recording of failed has-been James Brolin, more properly known as Mr. Barbra Streisand. The witless jackass has been doing some radio interviews to promote some lame new film in which Richard Gere plays a journalist who chases down a war criminal in Bosnia (our fearless journalists doing the things that our CIA can't). more...

Bush Meets With The Milbloggers; Bill From InDC Immediately Gets Into Comment Flame-War With Him
— Ace

Which is especially surprising, given that it was a conference call.

Obviously I kid Bill, and he's doing outstanding work and if I weren't so insecure and egotistical I'd even call him a real fucking man.

A round-up of the call is here.

OJ: "If This Were LA, You'd Be Dead Already"
— Ace

Note that "if" again. He digs the if. If I had butchered and decapitated two people, things might be going badly for you right about now.

On Drudge, but Hot Air has a good run-down.

Bill Bellichick Framed?
— Ace

I'm just saying, I don't know if I believe everything the MSM tells me.

And this picture from the "secret spy camera" makes me doubt them.

Awww... School Stands In Solidarity With Bullied Kid
— Ace

Kid got bullied because he wore a pink shirt.

Next day, half the school wore pink.

As Glenn Reynolds says, a pack not a herd.

Whether weird or "different" or whatever, no kid deserves bullying and cruelty, and it's just wonderful so many people did this. This kid will probably never forget this kindness in his life.

Then again, he'll probably go on to murder an entire family, because let's face it, kids are good about spotting the weirdos, but still, as he kills people he'll remember, "Damn, that was nice of those kids to be supportive of me."

Justice for Kayla!
— DrewM.

hooters_SWA.jpg

ItÂ’s not as satisfying as if O.J. had found the real killers or even the real robbers but Southwest Airlines has apologized to Kayla Ebbert. Unfortunately, they did it in a goofy and unfunny way.

Southwest president Colleen Barrett was trying to reach Ms. Ebbert via telephone.

"We searched for the naked truth, gotten down to the bare facts and she kind of caught us with our pants down," Southwest chief executive officer Gary Kelly said Friday morning. "So we're apologizing and we're going to move on and hope we keep her as a good and valued customer."

Southwest has not disagreed with Ms. Ebbert's version of what happened.

Now, if we can just get them to see the error of their ways regarding Ms. Setara Qassim

Another Journalist caught making stuff up, apparently inspired by President Bush (chad)
— Open Blog

Updated and titled edited:According to the the commenters at NY Times The Lede blog it's all Bush's fault. His stealing of the 2000 election inspired Debat. Seriously I'm not making this up.

Alexis Debat, formerly of ABC News, resigned from the Nixon Center this week after being caught making up interviews with Barrack Obama, Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg and a host of others according to the AP

The editor of Politique Internationale when questioned about the interviews responded:

He called Debat "a grand liar" and said he had hired a lawyer to pursue "all possible measures" against him.

"We are the first victims. I am falling from the moon," he told The AP. "We were betrayed."

He noted that Debat worked for the journal for four years, starting after he was already working for ABC and the Nixon Center. "How could we possibly doubt someone who worked for ABC, who worked for the Nixon Center? How could we possibly doubt someone from several thousand kilometers away?" he asked.

The fact that he was fired by ABC for lying about having a PhD from the Sorbonne might have been a hint.
