NATION IN CRISIS: ObamaÂ’s vacation plans in jeopardy
— andy

It's tough being the (nominal) leader of the free world, with people lookin' to you for leadership 'n' stuff.

Vladimir Putin has put President Barack ObamaÂ’s vacation plans on hold.

Obama is headed to Coral Reef High School in the southern part of Miami, Fla., on Friday for an event about education and the economy that first lady Michelle Obama had been expected to attend as well. What hadnÂ’t been known was that ObamaÂ’s daughters were planning to come with them, and that the four were going to extend the trip for a brief family getaway.

Now, the White House tells POLITICO that heÂ’s reconsidering.

You know, if someone had told this jagoff in 2007 that the job he thought he wanted required working the occasional weekend and not taking the Big Jet on one endless family vacation, he'd still be Senator Obama from Illinois.

1 "Family vacation"?  That's the last thing that nickelfucker wants.

He made a deliberate point of being far away from them on V-Day/3-day weekend.

Sorry 'bout going off so soon, but the home page sidebar has a reference to the loss of Neptunus Lex two years ago today.

Back then, it was a hard choice between coffee with Lex, or the Moron Horde.

Lex wrote about the military in much the same manner that the Head Ewok writes about people and politics.
In other words, he had the gift.

Opening his page that morning was a gut punch that is hard to describe.

101 This is why the inevitable "he'll change the constitution and try for a third term" comments are such nonsense. Barack Hussein Obama wants to goof off and be rich all the time, he doesn't want the headache of the job. Its why I came to the same conclusion about Clinton in the late '90s. It was too much work, and he can get just as much tang and have just as many parties after being president as before, with none of the hassle and responsibility.
Plus, EX president Obama will be given immense respect and presumed experience because of his former job that every word from his mouth will be treated as the word of God. They will ignore and attempt to erase all record of his incompetence and idiocy at the job. He'll have the best of both worlds: constant vacation time hanging out with celebrities and people hanging on his every word.

Plus, EX president Obama will be given immense respect and presumed experience because of his former job that every word from his mouth will be treated as the word of God. They will ignore and attempt to erase all record of his incompetence and idiocy at the job. And best of all?  No matter where he is, the ambulatory pre-op couch calling itself Mooch will always be half a continent away.

O/T Miami Dade Schools had a policy of sweeping crimes by their students under the rug.  Their Miami Dade School police were directed to minimize and hide the crimes and use FERPA to cover it up.

But if Miami Dade Schools would have called the (real) cops when they caught Trayvon Martin with stolen jewelry and burglar tools, poor little Trayvon might be alive and selling drugs on the streets of Miami today.

Bloomburg (by three fucking stooges who've wasted more than one afternoon debating what wonderful flavor Obaaama's cum tastes like):

"When Washington residents voted in 1998 to raise the stateÂ’s minimum wage and link it to the cost of living, opponents warned the measure would be a job-killer. The prediction hasnÂ’t been borne out.

In the 15 years that followed, the stateÂ’s minimum wage climbed to $9.32 -- the highest in the country. Meanwhile job growth continued at an average 0.8 percent annual pace, 0.3 percentage point above the national rate. Payrolls at WashingtonÂ’s restaurants and bars, portrayed as particularly vulnerable to higher wage costs, expanded by 21 percent. Poverty has trailed the U.S. level for at least seven years."

All this clown wanted was to be able to have this huge platform in which to be the world's greatest community agitator. If he got to sign off on a law that bowed to the agitating, great.

He has no negotiation or collaborative skills. None. All he knows how to do is be one of those goons who stands on a statue on a college campus and screams out to people walking by about this or that injustice. He is the parallel to the groups on campus, such as the ones threatening violence, etc. if they don't get the administration to put more foosball tables in the commons and make sure that minorities get all the grants and subsidies.

Why else does he show up constantly at elementary and high schools? College campuses? Every once in a while he'll show up at a manufacturing facility as long as he can use it to agitate for more money for "education", "schools" "learning opportunities" "unemployement benefits" "reeducation", on and on.

209 Here's something I've been thinking of lately. The Obamas got into financial difficulty and only got out shortly before he became President with the sales of his "autobiographies". They like the finer things in life. They've grown accustomed to traveling anywhere they want on a fricking private jumbo jet and staying at exclusive, expensive resorts. The Mooch has grown accustomed to a large staff, tons of designer clothes and beauty treatments, their kids go to expensive private school and will be going to elite colleges somewhere. They are going to lose all the perks of the WH in a few more years, and their expenses will have to be borne by themselves. I realize that they both will command large sums of money to bloviate around the world, write books, etc., but they may actually be in a position where they need to actually lift a finger and work to sustain their lifestyle. Those personal chefs, personal trainers, administrative assistants, chauffeurs, household servants, etc. don't come cheap. I think Mooch is going to have a hard time downsizing from Airforce 1 to a Gulfstream 2.

283 In the Democratic Primary in Texas in 2014, Wendy Davis somehow managed to get fewer votes than any Democratic gubernatorial nominee since 1998. She got fewer votes than the DemocratsÂ’ nominee in 2002, 2006, and 2010. Wendy Davis is the only Democratic nominee to lose any Rio Grande Valley counties in twenty years. She received fewer votes there than any Democrat in twenty years despite a 33.47% population growth in that area. Along the Texas-Mexico border, Davis was beaten pretty consistently by a primary opponent who spent no money. She lost counties Barack Obama had won. For all the alleged growth of the Democratic Party in Texas and the inspiration that is the pink shoe clad kid killing proponent, Davis could not get the Democrats to turn out for her primary. It was objectively a disaster. Top Democrats know it. Their plans to turn Texas blue by hiring a bunch of anti-ROTC yankee twenty-somethings is blowing up in their faces with allegations of intimidating Hispanic voters, ridiculing a man in a wheelchair, and more. 353 This is funny to me because one of the troupes that my wife danced with had a disclaimer/announcement at the start of every show that the performance was done "with great respect to the art".

359 I said that badly. Yes, they're quite fit -- oh yes, quite fit indeed -- but it makes their belly stick out from their otherwise quite wonderful -- oh yes, quite wonderful -- body.

Posted by: joncelli at March 06, 2014 02:13 PM (RD7QR)

There's a move where you do indeed stick your belly out and rotate it around and around making it look like a "wave".  The really experienced dancers can do it right and it looks freaky.

Oh, and one of the local troupes has a male belly dancer in it that gets dressed up and dances.  An obese gay black guy.  Nothing against him, but I don't go to the shows to see a guy belly dance.

360 Even a 1% kickback from his cronies would make him a multi-billionaire. Not under my administration. No, because Irish people are (blindingly) white, so you can't be racist about them or something.

As a blindingly white descendant of the spawn of Viking rape in the Celtic lands, I am proud that the Irish are the only group immune to ethnic insults.

Fighting Irish as a mascot?  That implies drunk, or a day with Y in it, and we're cool with that.

367 From Reuters: "Since leaving the presidency in 2001, Bill Clinton has been paid more than $90 million in speaking fees, including $13.4 million in 2011, according to tabulations by CNN and financial disclosures by Hillary Clinton when she was a U.S. senator from New York and secretary of state. As was the case last year when a group in Israel paid him $500,000 for a 45-minute speech commemorating Israeli President Shimon Peres' 90th birthday, Bill Clinton has donated some of his fees to his family's charitable foundation. But because of the possibility that Hillary Clinton still may seek the nation's highest office, her collecting huge speaking fees (some private fees at $250,000) is seen a bit differently by some in Washington." Some have estimated that the two Clintons together have raised as much as $540 million for their foundation since 2001.

Sure, Obama will miss this long weekend in South Florida where he planned to catch some rays, play some golf, and mourn Trayvon - but mainly to mourn Trayvon, of course.  But he has another, longer vacay planned in a week or so and he'll be able to catch up then.  At least with the golf.
