GOTV Match-Up Thread
— Ace

Bumped. You might want to re-read the thread to see if anyone asked about your offers, or responded to a request.

Some of you are offering stuff but not including an email... I know people don't like posting emails on the internet, but without one, there's no way to contact each other. You can make up a new hotmail or yahoo or gmail account for this purpose alone, then ditch it in a week.

More information, and more people seeking meet-ups and stuff for canvasing, here.

Pretty much any safe state will have buses, and maybe free hotel, for anyone wanting to travel to the next swing state over. In that last link: Buses from NY to PA; CA to NV; AZ to NM. Pretty much I'm thinking wherever there's a swing state, there are buses and lodging for any nearby volunteers.

If you want to help out with GOTV or phone-banking, better get on it, stat!

Hey... No off-topic stuff or chit-chat. Keep the thread clean, just for people seeking or offering rides or lodging. Please. There are plenty of other threads to chit-chat in, including Vinnie's overnight thread.

Rasmussen: Striking Distance in Pennsylvania
— Ace

Seven points.

Hey, NJ and NY morons. Even Connecticut morons. You know there's not a damn thing you can do in your own states.

How about a working vacation for 2-3 days in Pennsylvania, Saturday through Sunday?

Pennsylvania's nice. Lovely foliage this time of year. And it's filled with racists and bitter clingy people with guns and Bibles, so you should fit right in.

It's not that hard. And besides, you can go out and take over bars with your fellow morons after seven. Then maybe go out in your Ford trucks and run down homosexuals.

This is Sort of What I Mean By the GOP Getting on the Stick: Seriously, if the GOP gave me a hotel room and transportation, I'd do this. Now, I'm not a celebrity, but I do have readers who might decide to come along with the AoSHQ crew if we were all, say, knocking on doors in Bucks County or wherever. If there's a social thing afterwards.

There are a lot of bloggers people would sign up for. Jeff Goldstein in Colorado, for example, and all of his readers heading out to get out the vote, then having drinks afterwards. Captain Ed in Minnesota. The Red Staters in Virginia. Iowahawk, wherever he lives.

Allah on his couch, yelling at empty bottles of Jack Daniels that they just don't get it.

Door to door during the day, blog party at night. People are more willing to shell out bucks for a good cause if it's not merely work, but a bit of fun too. Combination GOTV and meet-up.

I mean, these are trivial expenses for the RNC. I'd pay myself but I don't pay my way for stuff like this anymore -- I'm dirt poor as it is and I can't afford to book hotels and planes for this sort of thing.

It's too late now, of course.

Swing State Lodgings? Some readers are asking if anyone can put them up for a weekend to do this.

If you're in a swing state, have a spare bed, and can sleep through the sounds of reckless masturbation coming from the rumpus room all night, maybe say so.

Ohio Canvassers? Email me if you have any intent; a reader wants you to email him. I don't know if it's about getting together to go in groups or lodging. Or him abducting you and selling you into forcible Thai prostitution.

It's going to be cool and fun, no matter which one.

Subject line "Ohio Canvass" so I can search easily, thank you.

Joe the Plumber Has Contacted Lawyer over Corrupt Obamacrat Helen Jones-Kelley's Blazingly Illegal Violation of His Privacy; Mulling Lawsuit
— Ace

He's not sure about a lawsuit.

"Joe the Plumber" has contacted a lawyer, but is uncertain if he will pull the trigger on lawsuits over government workers rummaging through his records on state computer systems.

"When I first found out, I was pretty angry and I still am," Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher said today in Columbus during his first campaign appearance on behalf of Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

The Toledo-area man, who was elevated to fame after he challenged Democrat Barack Obama over his tax policies during a street-side chat, formally endorsed McCain at The Flag Lady's Flag Store in Beechwold.

Authorities in Toledo and Cleveland confirmed today that workers accessed Wurzelbacher's driving record and vehicle information through state computer systems in checks uncovered by The Dispatch.

"It bothers me greatly," Wurzelbacher said as he joined former Republican Congressman Rob Portman and small-business owners on a bus tour to back McCain and attack Obama's tax policies.

"I'd like to see justice done. That's just for other people who dare ask their elected officials a question. They shouldn't have to go through the scrutiny that I've gone through," he said.

Dude, get angry. This isn't just about you, or your discomfort with the litigious nature of our country, or your personal code about letting things wash by.

This is about millions of corrupt Obama hacks controlling our bureaucracy and their power and determination to illegally violate the privacy of anyone who follows you in questioning Obama.

You were the first. You will not be the last.

Sue. Sue like the wind. You have a great case -- it is not frivolous. This was a blazingly illegal abuse of power, far greater than anything Sarah Palin is alleged to have done.

Fight back. Either get this corrupt fascist fired or mulct the goddmaned Ohio treasury for $10 million. Let them know their will be pain for them if they abuse their power to inflict pain on citizens who dare to dissent.

Get this vicious bitch deposed. She will commit perjury. She has to.

And then let her enjoy the fruits of a state investigation -- this one warranted and duly authorized.

Bonus: Police Clerk Charged in Rummaging Through Joe's Files at Toledo Police Department: A little fish, so it's safe to charge this one.

Julie McConnell, has been charged with Gross Misconduct for allegedly making an improper inquiry into a state database in search of information pertaining to Samuel Wurzelbacher on Oct. 16.

Wurzelbacher came under the spotlight after being spoken about during the final presidential debate between Barack Obama and John McCain.

The inquiry into WurzelbacherÂ’s record is a violation of department and state policy governing the use of the Law Enforcement Automated Data System. The clerk is under fire for making the inquiry for a non-law enforcement purpose.

I'd like to see this woman's email and phone records -- I know she contacted the media. I'm also certain she contacted Team Obama.

This is so-so good, but I'm sure they're thinking they can charge this bastard and thus avoid charging Helen Jones-Kelley.

Thanks to CJ for that last one.

Hmmm... There just happens to be Julie McConnel listed in an ACORN Ohio chapter member list.

Isn't that convenient.

Correction: The Julie McConnell Riehl found wasn't "ACORN."

She was "AORN." No C.

I missed that too. Apologies.

McCain Demands LAT Release Obama/Ayers/Dohrn/Khalidi Video Tape
— Ace

Demand.

Companion: Bill Sammon notes, as no one in the MSM will, that Barack Obama, by his own self-account, has surrounded himself with Marxists his entire life.

Another Companion: Obama funneled millions to left-wing and racial-agitating groups in his position as Bill Ayers' go-for.

Experience--

John McCain: tortured by Communists

Barack Obama: tutored by Communists

From cblezs, though he says it's someone else's snark.
