— DrewM You want Ayers? He'll give you Ayers.
First, yes it was cut by TPM and I found it at The Atlantic's Trig Palin Truther blog but it's good stuff (of course they don't see it that way).
Interestingly, neither of the two liberal outlets seem to find any irony in the fact that Chris Wallace of FOX News (gasp!) actually goes after McCain. Anyone think Olberman, Gibson or Couric would go after Obama in that way? Hell no they wouldn't and haven't.
It's also amusing that Wallace's critique of McCain is so stupid. Does Wallace really think that when McCain said in 2000 he would never resort to "that kind of political tactic" he was talking about robo calls in general as opposed to character smears?

— Jack M. God love him, Joe from Scranton (which is west of Philly, and therefore a bastion of racism according to Democratic Rep. Joe Murtha) has decided he knows why so many undecided voters remain at this late date.
They are racist. All of them.
Here's Joe at a San Francisco fundraiser making the point:
Undecided people are having a difficult time just culturally making the change, making the move for the first African American president in the history of the United States of America," the Democratic vice-presidential nominee said at a San Francisco fundraiser Saturday evening.
Interesting the views that emerge from San Francisco fundraisers, isn't it? I guess Biden is just bitterly clinging to the oratorical example of the head of the ticket.
Meanwhile...you think their internal polls are showing them something?
"Mark my words, you're going to see these polls drop this week," Biden forecasted. "We got a bump. We're going to be in good shape. You're going to see them drop. There's nothing automatic about this at all."
This may be the first time in his Senate career that Biden has been right about something. I think that's why this comment was included in the story.
As Joe Biden slurs 10-12% of the voters in this country as racists, Peggy Noonan can only muster the outrage to be disgusted by the fact that Sarah Palin's favorite meal is "moose stew" and not "quiche lorraine."

— DrewM Jim Lindgren at The Volokh Conspiracy, makes a strong case for it.
It was against ethics laws for Illinois legislators to receive speaking fees when Obama was a State Senator. Interestingly, Obama listed income from ‘speaking fees’ on his tax returns during those same years.
This story has been out there since March and yet the media is strangely uninterested. ItÂ’s not like they lack the capacity to do this kind of story, I mean they discovered Joe the PlumberÂ’s tax warrant in about 23 minutes. So it must be something else. HmmmmÂ….what could it be?

A little breaking news from ESPN...there's a power outage at the Bills/Chargers game in Orchard Park, NY.

— Open Blog Alright. I agreed with Drew. Although the 99.9% post was supposed to be highly satirical and not necessarily "kookie", on reading it a third or fourth time, I'd say you could get that impression. Maybe it was early Sunday morning, low sleep, no damn caffeine moment? Then again, I didn't actually name any politician, so maybe we're all just thinking the same direction? Oh, well...
So, down the memory hole. Just like Obama's college records, his drug dealers, his ACORN activities, his last votes, and any other information damaging to his potential presidency.
How about a post called "1851"? You know, the year that one side or the other tried to stack the voters in a territory in order to effect a nation changing electoral outcome for future national elections.
That was Kansas. Today, it's Ohio.
Wait. Is that too inflammatory?

— Open Blog Reporting in. I'm fine. My camera is toast. It came slinging out of the bag as I was grabbing things out of the truck and now has a lovely "V" crack in the lens.
I don't have a lot to report right now. Except to say that:
1) Estimates of 40-75k are grossly over exaggerated. I should know, I drive down town everyday and that foot and vehicle traffic was definitely not enough for that many people. Unless they bussed them in through magical, invisible unicorn bus. Thousands of people? Yes. 75k? Not in this lifetime.

— Ace Eh. I think they pretty much slammed her. Previously they've needled, say, Hillary, but then gave her props. I don't really see that here.
The rap during update is okay. more...
