— Ace Elizabeth Wurtzel, goofed-up leftie Prozac enthusiast, but nevertheless someone in the know:
Many reporters are well aware, even though Mr. Obama has described his connection to Ayers and Dohrn as "flimsy," that the senator's relationship with his radical Hyde Park neighbors is actually quite warm, even close

— Ace Not true?
The National Enquirer is printing this story this week. There is no evidence its true, the girl flatly denies it, its been in the enquirer before, last year, and no one can prove anything. she acknowledges working for the Obama campaign, said they were friendly, she is a supporter of his, and she moved to the Carribean to be with her boyfriend. I don't thinks there any meat here at all. Lets not get desperate.
I do not believe that bit about the National Enquirer running the story -- any story -- is true. Or at least not yet. There is some buzz along those lines. But I don't think they have it the way they'd like it yet.

— Open Blog Nothing to worry about. ItÂ’s just a paradigm shift. Or the new narrative. Maybe the new metric. Or something.
”PORTLAND, Ore. - Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard.”
Really, I donÂ’t see what the problem here is. They were just exercising their First Amendment rights and expressing an opinion.
Story “here.

— Ace As readers would not respect my repeatedly expressed wishes.
In addition, LC has been banned.
How many fucking times did I have to say do not print her name? A thousand?
Not only are you exposing me to risk I cannot afford, you're also not "in the know" by printing her name over and over. Everyone fucking knows who it is. You're not proving you're some smart Internet Detective by repeatedly linking it.
Should I just stop reporting stuff like this? Let me know. I don't need the fucking hassle.

— Ace A reporter at a major media organization (not Fox) is sitting on a story that rubbishes the "guy from the neighborhood" claim.
But he's either unwilling to run it himself, as he will basically call Obama a straight-up liar, or else his organization is killing the story by ever-growing demands of proof.
So:
I've been asked to solicit the collective brain trust of the PUMAs for information.
Specifically, if you are in Obama's neighborhood in Chicago, or know someone who is, and know details of the Obama-Ayers relationship, contact me.
To really be helpful you'd have to go on the record, probably, but if you don't want to, blind stuff will help too.
Don't fish me if you're an Obot. I'm not going to give up the details of the story to anyone; I'm going to wait for them to say the key fact.
Hopefully if someone knows what I'm talking about, and can go on the record about it, we can overcome this guy's forbearance (or forbiddance) and get the story out.
But we probably need one more on the record source to do so.
If you guys have anything else, now would be the time to say so.

— Ace Someone just brought up my tip about the 10,000 fake registrations in Cincinnati, and 8,000 more in Cleveland. So I checked my email box to see if I had more, and I did.
The story did in fact break, as tipped. But you have to read to the very end for it.
Hamilton County [Cincinnati] received more than 160,000 documents this year related to voter registration and change of address. Of the more than 40,000 documents received from ACORN, about 10,000 have been duplicates and many have come back with invalid addresses. Of the remaining documents “I do believe fictitious ones are registered,” said Williams “We don’t cross check this. That’s supposed to be done on a state-wide database. So if that isn’t done, we don’t have the resources to do it.”
So they found 10,000, there are more among the 40,000 ACORN submitted, but they don't have the ability to check and so ACORN wins.
And their Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner likes it that way.
The tip was accurate, but the MSM, of course, covered for The One.
The story on the 8,000 fraudulent registrations in Cleveland either came out today or will come out tomorrow.

— Ace 7 points? And dropping?
That sounds doable.
Thanks to Terry.
Update: Via readers, the lead is 4 among likelies and 6 among likelies based on Gallup's changed guesses about legions of young voters turning out for The One, finally.

— Open Blog Everyone is characterizing this as a hit on Obama, but she only mentions him at the very end, and she could have hit him much harder than she did, (no mention at all of his repeated votes against the BAIPA, for instance).
Mostly, this is a expression of her own profoundly pro-life position, and it moved me deeply, as a mother of six, who also has a "special needs" child. I know exactly what she went through....a journey from fear and anxiety to a feeling of great love and thanksgiving.
There's is just so much about this woman to admire, and identify with.
Video below the fold, (so I don't break Ace's blog, again):

— Open Blog The fact checkers need fact checkers. Everywhere I looked, I kept seeing alleged "fact checkers" trying to tell the American people that, yes, Obama wants to raise taxes, but only on a very small part of Americans. A fraction, their story goes, and the rest of you will get a tax break.
All good, right?
Wrong, wrong, wrong!
You have to wonder who writes these pieces. Obviously not the deep end of the economic genius pool.
Let's start with the idea that just maybe their calculation of "only" 662,000 "small businesses" make over $250,000/year is correct. I'll even leave aside, just for the moment, the very lame attempts to parse the numbers and discredit "individuals" filing as "S" corporations, like doctors, lawyers, accountants, consultants, etc as some how not befitting the title of "small business" because they don't look like Ma and Pa's mercantile with a store front and 2.5 employees. Odd that, considering that half of the 23 million "small businesses" are "home based".
What is completely missing from these "statistics" are the number of employees these businesses employ. Why is that important in the whole "tax" question? Because, in most businesses, the largest expenditure is "labor". When profits go down due to rising inflation, rising energy and materials costs, decreased sales and then gets compounded by increased taxes, guess where companies tend to look first to reduce costs?
Look in the mirror...it's you.
