— Ace Left in a comment about Palin. IP 75.173.252.156.
Question for Joe Biden and the media:
Do you think perhaps your own "dangerous incitements" are dangerous incitements?
Or is the media and the Obama campaign collectively hoping their hate campaign will result in someone taking a shot at the Governor?
This reignites an old anger: The media was constantly exposing "hate on the right" and the threat this posed to President Clinton.
Then, for eight long years, they forgot entirely about "hate" and how it might threaten the life of a President -- because it was coming from the left, and it was merely threatening President Bush's life, which they considered a glass-is-half-full sort of situation.
Even when Democratic party officials themselves indulged in murder fantasies -- a Florida Democratic chapter suggesting that Rumsfeld be executed, for example -- they took no notice. Boys will be boys.
Well, here we are, and the media thinks it has this one won again. And now it's all interested in political hatred again. Suddenly, as Ari Fleisher cautioned, we must all "watch what we say."
But only as regards Obama.
Psychotics can post death threats and murder fantasies at will about Palin or McCain, though.
And of course Bush.
Because "hate" is only dangerous if it threatens someone who the media has decided deserves to live.
I have a stupid black-and-white position on political hatred and especially incitements to political murder: I think they're always wrong, no matter who the perpetrator, no matter what the party affiliation of the would-be target.
But of course the media has a more nuanced position on this, as usual, don't they?
Exactly-- InciteMarsh says:
You know, it's funny, because my lefty friend floated the theory to me today that because McCain and Palin didn't immediately slap down the nutballs at their rallies who shouted "Kill him!" or "Traitor!" or "I love male butt!" or whatever, they were tacitly encouraging them. It's only a problem when the right-wingers do it.
Yes, today's Narrative was all about McCain and Palin endangering Obama's life by criticizing his record.
The left has called George Bush a murderer who ought to be executed for war crimes for eight years. At no point during these festivities did such rhetoric become dangerous?
Or is it just that the leftist media wouldn't mind someone killing Bush?
Please explain to me the nuance of your position, MSM cocksuckers.

— LauraW To The Left
The Left thinks of itself as the only agency which opened the door of society to women and minorities. They think they own that archway. It really burns their collective butt when Conservatives of the brown and/or female persuasion are promoted to high office.
It galls them to know that women of just any political bent could walk through open doorways that they credit themselves for creating.
They are for equal opportunity, they say. But they really don't believe that.
Equal opportunity for Lefties, only. Otherwise you are an interloper. A Conservatively-created cartoon of what politically active women are supposed to look like.
They feel they have a natural right to decide specifically which women and minorities are entitled to some rank. That's how they show their love of diversity.
Their desire is to set up a tollbooth at this particular patch of road and turn conservatives away, as they have in academia and in the MSM.
Sorry, guys. Genie is out of the bottle.
One more thing.
If Obama wins this election, there will never be another real, fair election in your lifetime. Think ACORN voter fraud x 1000, every damn cycle. Courts and money will be stacked against conservatives- and possibly the American people as a whole- for a long, long, long time.
Think of the vote-stealing network and apparatus they have managed to accumulate as a minority party. Now think of it after it gains Presidential and Congressional support for eight years (not four, trust me, that won't be allowed to happen).
We have to defeat this asshole and the corrupt, Anti-America, terrorist, marxist friends he's fronting for.
Oh, and did I mention that even though she's a powerful woman, Sarah is not married to some milquetoast metrosexual prettied-up replica of manhood?

— Ace They answer correctly at first...
How did Newsweek convince Gov. Sarah Palin to pose with a rifle for its cover?Simple. It didn't.
But then it goes it very wrong.
Instead, it used an archive (fancy speak for old) stock photo of her taken back in June 2002 and used it for the cover without her knowledge. However, to the magazine's credit, it did not try to hide the fact that it's a stock photo, even printing circa 2002 on the cover and again referencing the date in editor Jon Meacham's letter entitled "The Palin Problem."
So that makes it OK.
Right? Or maybe not? What do you think?
Hey, is that even the right way to hold a rifle? Can't you shoot your foot off like that?
The LAT. Pure fuckin' genius.
Here's Palin with her rifle.

That's the over-under, break-open, breech-loading 12 gauge sort of rifle.
These are the people who presume to set the gun control policy for this country.
The same press corps which breathlessly invokes "semiautomatic pistol" as words of talismanic import, as if they're describing exotic weaponry on the level of "phased plasma rifle in deh forty watt range."
Thanks to Ace Queen from Free Republic.
Heh: All the comments on the LAT Blog are telling her the same thing. Though one guy claims it's a side-by-side shotgun. I think it's over-under, as most say.
Anyway, this was a funny comment:
The way she is pointing that loaded Machine Gun proves she is racist.

— Ace I posted too quickly, before I really understood the allegations made or undertook a full examination of the documents. The post is pending while I catch up on the reading and questioning I should have done beforehand.
Working on it. I got into a bit of rhythm of big flaming skulls and somehow "pre-approved" them in my brain before undertaking basic fact-checking.
Apologies.
