— LauraW. Two teenage girls stole an envelope of cash from a 9-year old Girl Scout selling cookies outside of a supermarket.
Then they went back to the store to taunt the little girl they robbed, and naturally got caught. Retards, right?
No. No, that's not the kicker. You have to see this shit to believe it.
And here's the video.
Check out the high-five. I'd like to high-five the little bitches into unconsciousness.
Look, I don't want to hear about how pretty the thieves are, OK? They know.

— Dave In Texas The science is unsettled.
Second MSM needle aimed at McCain, attacks on earmarks "could cut services".
O RLY? John "Cold-Blooded Murtha's science park is a "service"?
It's the second shot at McCain I can recall this week, the first was an Anne Applebaum piece in Newsweek (? I think it was her, don't feel looking up her silly shit this morning) on "age".
I swear the only satisfaction I'm going to get out of a McCain nomination is watching the MSM tear into him like a monkey on a cupcake.

— Dave In Texas Yeah, it also exposes how entrenched militants (hereafter referred to as "targets") in Pakistan can get their nuts blown off by Hellfire missiles.
The targeting of Abu Laith al-Libi also suggests American intelligence is improving and that President Pervez Musharraf is willing to turn a blind eye to attacks along the Afghan border if they avoid civilian casualties.
The meta-narrative of course is that Musharref can't deal with it alone, the north is out of control, unless we assist them. But this kind of assistance, good intel and an effective air assault is relatively easy for us to provide, and gives him manuevering room.
"Had civilians been killed as in earlier cases it would have been criticized by the government," said Moonis Ahmer, an international relations professor at Karachi University. "As it was, just the target was eliminated. It may be that Musharraf has given a freer hand for the U.S. to carry out its operations."
Yes, he'd be obliged to make a complaint, he is a head of state. That we were able to carry out the assault is certainly evidence of his willingness to cooperate.

— Open Blog No else seems to be using the open blog so I am going to abuse the privilege once more and then I will leave everyone alone.
One of the mantras of Democrat politics is that tax cuts favor the wealthy. How decreasing everyones tax burden while increasing revenues favors the wealthy is beyond me, but I barely graduated high school much less some high falutin' college like Harvard or Yale so I just have to Hillary and Obama at their word and assume that their superior education and intellect has led them to the correct conclusion. However, the people at TCS Daily are not quite that trusting and they actually looked at some numbers:

— Purple Avenger OK, we need some levity around here since everyone is ready to slash their wrists. So lets create some cool election bumper sticker slogans. The only rule is that the words would reasonably have to fit on a bumper sticker without needing a microscope to read.
I'll start the ball rolling with this one about Obama:
OBAMA '08 - he won't steal the furniture!

Below the fold is a pretty good more...

Slublog previews the future.
And... Bryan from Hot Air endorses Romney, not just as an anti-McCain tactic, but affirmatively.

— Open Blog No it's not going to be "Be more conservative" although I am sure that is the suggestion many people would like to make. Instead I am going to abuse Ace's open blog hospitality by suggesting that maybe it would be a good idea to engage in and win the battle of ideas.
It's all very well and good to say that Republicans are the party of small government and limited regulation, but how about we tell people why? Lay out the philosophical underpinnings behind the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and how those foundations carry forward into the current GOP platform. Give it a flashy name like "Foundations of Freedom" make a few 60 second commercials and throw them on during prime time a few times. Make a second version where local Senate and Congressional candidates can explain how their platform ties in and let them run them in their district.
Define what the GOP party brand means and make the Dems do the same.

— Ace You know the old cliche of the prima-donna "star" who freaks out if plebians so much as violate his eyeline with their presence?
Yeah, well. A cliche, but real. Language Warning.
He can't believe how rude it is that people are... moving while he attempts to "concentrate."
Via Hot Air, where Allah vents over how lame Berman's act is. And yet, apparently, what high regard he holds himself in for saying "Ben Winter Coates" sixty three thousand times.
Another swipe: The "tree man" might be cured.

— Ace How the hell did this happen?
And with Huckabee out -- in a two-man race -- it's worse: 62% McCain, 29% Romney.
Romeny's only a point ahead of Huckabee, who has 19%.
