Heh.   Happy Mother's Day, to all you mothers out there!

3 Woke up this morning to a beautiful day and remembered that I have 2 sick teenagers and a mountain of laundry to do.  No matter though, like all of the other moms out there I'll just pile through the laundry, tend to my little sicklings, and be grateful for the life that I have.

I wish for all of the AOSHQ moms a beautiful, restful?, and loving day.

5 Hubby got up and cooked breakfast with the kiddos, and then cooked a second round because there wasn't enough to feed the kids more than one silver dollar pancake apiece.

And I was told this morning by The Princess that "Mother's Day is the day you can do anything you want to your mama."

Mother's Day is the one day that moms are supposed to have off. One vacation day a year! In any other job, you would complain to the Department of Labor.

To really appreciate your mom's effort, check out What is mom worth? Obviously, you can't place a value on your mom. But you can put a value on her work.

This special calculator lets you select your location. You can then fill in information about mom's weekly work. The site then calculates what her annual salary should be.  (it's a lot!)

You can even print up a "check" for her. Of course, most moms wouldn't really want a check. For you moms, watching our kids grow is reward enough.

Now back to the kitchen!

The media got is 100% wrong.

So much for the lone wolf:

“We’ve now developed evidence that shows the Pakistani Taliban was behind the attack,” Attorney General Eric Holder said in an interview on ABC television’s news program “This Week.”

"Fair enough. But would it kill public officials to "develop evidence" showing that the next Lone Wolf of the Week actually is a lone wolf before going out and announcing he is?"

On the subject of mothers...

I am not close with my mother; never have been. Hardly ever speak to her. And I call her 'mother' instead of mom because I don't even feel comfortable using the term of endearment mom.

Anyway, she's getting old now and even though we're not close I still like the idea of having her around. Just lost my sweet little grandma a couple of months ago and now I have no grandparents left. I didn't think I'd be so upset about it, but it's difficult to deal with.

I hate getting old. And I hate losing family members. So enjoy this day with your family 'cuz they aren't gonna be around forever (as some of you already know).

In fact, if there is one issue in the world that could make the audience at a liberal college graduation say "what the hell is this idiot talking about?", it's this one. Those are the industries they all want to work in. Not to mention that they all have Ipods under their gowns, next to their Iphones.

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms here!

I'll be leaving to join mom and the family shortly, but had to share this.  This year I sent her gifts from O'Reilly, as she watches him every day.  His site made it very easy, and I decided to for it after her mild stroke a year ago.  So I sent a bunch of things, all gift wrapped.   She was so excited to see the return address on the shipment she opened the day it arrived.  She called and said she couldn't wait till Sunday.  Ahhhh.

On of the items was his Bold Fresh book that I had personlized and signed by him.  This is what it said:

Your son and I agree with what Abraham Lincoln once said, 'All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother.'

All the best to you on this special Mother's Day.  Thanks for watching the show and for being a Patriot.  We former teachers must stick together!  - Bill O'Reilly

The chip company that apple bought last year manufactures chips for government defense stuff.  Apple was thinking of not manufacturing that stuff and the government went ballistic....so they finally reached an agreement that the chip company would continue manufacturing the chips for the government per the contract.

don't forget Apple manufactures devices that enable people to learn stuff almost as soon as it happens.  You can view that as a good thing or a bad thing........if your goal is a very informed populous you view it as a good thing but, if you want to "control the narrative" or the flow of information until you can frame said information you would consider it not such a good thing.

One meeting I always wished I were a fly on the wall for was the one between the founder of twitter and BO.  Remember, he was summoned to the White House and no details were released but they say he is not as easily manipulated as eric the google guy.
