— DrewM Leftwing bloggers who wanted to blame Glenn Beck, Tea Party attendees and conservatives in general hit hardest.
A Kentucky Census worker found hanging from a tree with the word "fed" written on his chest killed himself and staged his death to look like a murder, authorities said Tuesday....Sparkman had recently taken out two life insurance policies that would not pay out for suicide, police said.
The letters scrawled on his chest had been written from the bottom up, police told a news conference Tuesday. His DNA was the only DNA found at the scene, they said.
First and foremost, this is a personal tragedy and we shouldn't forget that.
Nor should we forget idiots who jumped to some crazy conclusions in an attempt to blame a personal tragedy on their insatiable need to demonize their political opponents.
I'm sure there will be a flood of corrections and appologies coming from the sinestrosphere any minute. Any. Minute.
Nah, I'm just kidding. They'll pretend it never happened or better yet they knew it all along and this is just a rightwing attempt to smear them. The poor dears are always correct and the victims.
Fearless prediction...some lefty will say, "The anti-government feelings stirred up by Beck, Bachman, Limbaugh and the rest drove this guy to hate himself so much for working for the government he took his own life.

No, no. The talking point will be that since he didn't have government run healthcare, he had no money, so he was forced to desperate measures simply to attempt to provide a meal for his family.

This was thoroughly discussed at LGF, at the time it happened, with many dire predictions of this death affecting the census taking process, and warnings that Glenn Beck was leading the entire country to hell, and was probably the cause of this event.
I wonder what retractions the left wingers there will have, if any.

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist
Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And for their trouble, three of the SEALs, members of the Navy's elite commando unit, are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.
The three have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral's mast — and requested a trial by court-martial.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Well, when the suicide involves insurance fraud, I think that rule needs to be suspended. Constructing a believable scenario has to trump anything else or your survivors ain't gonna get paid and the whole exercise was for nothing.
Myself, I'd probably go with the time honored "fell asleep at the wheel late at night and crashed into the bridge abutment" scenario if I was planning a suicide/insurance fraud.

18, ad hominem against someone who called him out: re: #8 Kilroy "Way out of bounds linking this to Tea Parties." [8 updings] And how did I know someone like you would show up screaming, even though I could not have not been more careful with my wording?
28, insinuation #2: There has been a LOT of incitement against the census lately. That doesn't prove anything. But it looks damned suspicious.
74, insinuation #3: The more I think about it, the more I doubt that this was a simple drug-related killing. It's not their style at all. They would just take the body and bury it in some backwoods area where it would never be found, or sink it in a lake, or something similar. It makes no sense to stage what seems like a political statement, unless there was a political motive.
Charles tries to slither out of his insinuations - er, "careful wording", 114: I wrote "let's not jump to conclusions." I also wrote that the circumstances made it look "suspicious." How is that "blaming Beck, Bachmann, and the tea parties?"
And he [deleted] 464, most likely because it also called him on his execrable comments.

I spent 7 years in the Navy and I never heard of an "Admiral's Mast". NJP was called "Captain's Mast".
I would hope that they would not take "Captain's Mast". The reason they call it non-judicial punishment is because there is no finding of guilt involved. You are guilty when you go, the intent of the "mast" is to allocate punishment. It is the resposibility of the XO to determine guilt or innocence through "investigation" and it appears that he has already done that. PC bullshit at work again here folks.

I didn't think anything could fit over those thighs.

I'd bet there was a LOT of pressure out of Washington to rule it anything BUT a suicide if the physical evidence left any room at all for doubt after the full forensic investigation.
A non-suicide determination of any sort would have had far more propaganda value to the Obama administration than this. This ain't worth shit to the administration.

Thanks. I was thinking along those lines, but I've been too bitter to do teh funny for a long while now, so I didn't even try.

Dear "World";
Pursuant to an online suicide petition I electronically signed prior to this election, I must kill myself. Unfortunately, my views lost at the ballot box. With a clearer mind, I see my beliefs weren't exactly worth dying for, or even moving to Canada over. Actually, the goals and ideals I have for a society can still be achieved even though the election didn't go exactly how I wanted it to.
Nevertheless, I did affix my e-signature to that e-suicide petition and made my life conditional on the outcome of this election. Maybe a death ultimatum wasn't the best way to convince the electorate that my choices were the most environmentally sound, economically prudent and altruistically just. Or just maybe those cocksucker voters wanted to see if I really would do it.
Obviously, in hindsight, a status quo TV ad calling someone a communist heroin addict who drives pre-teens across state lines to get abortions would have swayed more votes. In any case, I knew what I was doing when I briefly scrolled the Terms and Conditions box, checked 'Accept', clicked on 'Submit' and digitally added 'Kentucky Census Worker' to that database. I had visions of grandeur.
I still remember the picture in my high school history book of that Vietnamese monk setting himself on fire and thinking 'How fucking cool is that?' But I guess protesting the illegal invasion of your country, protecting a thousand year old culture and trying to prevent the slaughter of your fellow citizens is probably a more noble cause to die for than anything that will ever find its way onto a ballot.
If only I had realized that prior to Tuesday,
Kentucky Census Worker
P.S. If my sister's still dating interacially, tell her she can now get married.

Any ideas what "modified slightly" might mean?

I have never seen a woman wear thigh high boots except in porn and Pretty Woman.
Seriously, I can't wait to see the outfit she conjures up to wear these babies in.

The Leftists slandered the whole of Appalachia as a hotbed of reactionary militia guys out to murder federal employees because of the hate that came out of the demon boxes in their trailers tuned in to Beck/Limbaugh/Coulter/ etc.
Hello Leftist narrative, it's reality calling. Put down the bong and take in the sunshine of wisdom.

I once knew a woman who wore them. She was a bit kooky though.

UPDATE at 11/24/09 1:28:54 pm:
Since this news came out, IÂ’ve received several angry emails demanding that I apologize for saying Sparkman had been murdered by a right wing extremist.
The problem is, I never wrote anything like that. For the record, this was my post when the story broke , and I donÂ’t apologize for a single word:ThereÂ’s not enough information yet to say for sure what was behind this killing, so letÂ’s not jump to conclusions. But the description of the circumstances and the timing (around the time of the Washington DC tea party) raises a strong suspicion that anti-government sentiment may have been the motivation.
