Candace Kita, Kathryn Le, Alana Curry, Lena Yada, and Blythe Matsui display their favorite blog.
On November 24th, 2009, actress, model, and AoSHQ friend Candace Kita helped organize a special Thanksgiving treat for our men and women in uniform at the Bob Hope USO Center in Los Angeles. Kita, along with a bevy of gorgeous ladies including: Lena Yada, Alana Curry, Kathryn Le, Christa Campbell, Blythe Matsui, and the LA Kings Dance Team, served up turkey, autographs, and smiles to the hundreds of service personnel who attended.
Special thanks to the Bob Hope USO Center at LAX, Candace Kita, the lovely ladies and to the talented photographers who captured this worthy event.
Many more photos after the break. All photos courtesy of WSImages (http://www.modelmayhem.com/WSImages27), Amy Ou, and Albert L. Ortega.

How we all feel about our men and women in uniform.

Blythe, Christa, Candace, Kathryn, Alana, Lena, and the LA Kings Dance Team. Talk about MRE's!

Wait, they were serving turkey too?

The US Army tests out its newly revamped recruitment office concept.

Alana Curry: "Hi Soldier, want some cream of liver casserole?"

Soldier: "Why yes Alana, two big scoops please."

Even the Coast Guard was there!

Christa Campbell. "I assume you want this made out to your wife."

Sweden rules out state bail-out for Saab
By Andrew Ward in Stockholm
SwedenÂ’s prime minister has ruled out a government bail-out for Saab Automobile and warned that European leaders must not stand in the way of efforts to tackle overcapacity in the car industry.
“We have been very clear that we do not put taxpayer money intended for healthcare or education into owning car companies or covering losses in car companies,” Mr Reinfeldt told the Financial Times.
“You cannot save jobs just by pushing in taxpayers’ money if you don’t have the competitiveness to survive in a tough industry with overcapacity.”

Golf great Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident in Florida early Friday morning, according to MyFoxOrlando.com.
Woods, 33, is in the hospital in very serious condition after a single-car crash at 2:25 a.m. in which he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, the Florida Highway Patrol told the Web site.
The crash is under investigation and charges are pending.
Woods pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community when he struck the hydrant, the Orlando Sentinel reported, citing the FHP.
He then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property. He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.
He was apparently traveling under 33 mph because the Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't inflate, the FHP told the Sentinel.

"He was apparently traveling under 33 mph because the Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't inflate, the FHP told the Sentinel."
33 miles an hour into a tree is plenty fast enough to be seriously hurt. Hope everything turns out OK for him.

I hope he had his sealt belt on. Why on earth would airbags not deploy under 33 mph? You can get plenty f'd hitting a tree at 25.
"Seriously injured" makes me think of head and neck injuries which could easily end his career.
Then again, I'm wildly speculating with little or no information to go on like I'm sure the media will be.

Woods, 33, is in the hospital in very serious condition after a single-car crash at 2:25 a.m. in which he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, according to the FHP.
The crash is under investigation and charges are pending, but the crash was not alcohol-related, the highway patrol said in its accident report. It wasn't known if he was wearing a seatbelt.
Woods pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community when he struck the hydrant. He then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property. He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.
Woods was apparently traveling under 33 mph because the Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't inflate, the FHP said.
The golf champion was gearing up for his fifth Chevron World Challenge title. The $5.75 million tournament is scheduled for Dec. 1-6.
"It should be an exciting week for the fans, and I'm looking forward to competing," Woods said in a Nov. 25 article about the event on his Web site.

What the shit?
I just woke from the mother of all naps and I see that Tiger is in serious condition following a car accident. Oh but wait, he's out of the hospital with only facial lacerations. He hit a fire hydrant rolling out of driveway at 2:30 am but no alcohol was involved.
Was Gibbs at the podium giving out this information??--this makes zero sense.

PGA rules state that hydrants and trees are considered immovable objects. Hence, Tiger could have taken a free drop. Always the competitor, he decided to plow ahead instead.
I blame Busch.

Or "Why does Allahpundit hate you?"

I gotta say I'm very disappointed in Cantor. I thought he had some potential to be a fearless advocate for conservatism but he appears to be an advocate for a Big Tent, i.e., permanent (R) minority.

Cantor lost me when he was traveling around with Bobby Scott to the Townhalls promoting a bi-partisan consensus on the health care bill.

from the AS piece:
conservatives will be in a quandary unless they refuse to accept the conventional wisdom about which candidates can be successful.
Fuck that. I reject the "electable/non-electable" argument. I want a conservative. As for the rest of the piece, I don't think Quin would recognize a conservative if one bit him on the ass.

Yea, I remember Scott talking about it on the Doc Thompson show here in Richmond and gloating about it. Thompson was none too happy about it either.
I guess his reasoning was we were going to get a bill no matter what, so he might as well make it as benign as possible instead of outright fighting against it.
He attended a few with Scott in the beginning but when he saw all the public outrage he quickly got his head unstuck from his ass.
Posted by: Blazer at November 27, 2009 02:15 PM (+FzLa)
How's he not right though?
Romney-forever linked with RomneyCare, Palin-too polarizing, and Huck does have that "aww shucks" thing going on that many people just don't buy and his record on taxes during his governor's stint was pretty abysmal.
