Someone once said that when the Iron Curtain came down, we didn't let freedom in, we let communism out! I think time has made its decision. For the first time since it happened, I'm beginning to think Reagan made a mistake. At least if the East was still the East and the West still the West, we would all be able to see the difference ideology and statism make on an economy and populace.

The other answer is, probably, if they decide to go full commie, refuse to participate. The whole of the system must fall, both and all parties.
Its important that commies have the system they'd like to replace our constitutional one with but, were the Republic to fall, we have no fallback. Best to figure that out.

They all looked well fed and well dressed. in other words it appears capitalism has been very kind to them, at least someone elses hard work anyway. They don't appear to me like the sort of commies you would find standing in line for hours in sub-zero temperatures waiting on bread and toilet paper.

It is the achille's heel of the guilt mechanism that we use, as individualistic societies in Judeo-Christian culture. Perhaps if politicians feared the majority law-abiding citizens as much as they do the small minority of professional agitators, this type of political takeover wouldn't be happening around the world. Are we in the States really that much different than the Brits we routinely laugh at and deride, for the way they let their system marginalize them and give away their country and rights? Well, we had in the recent past, a government run completely by Republicans, for 6 of GWB's 8 years, and what was accomplished that wasn't moderate to liberal in nature? Our biggest victory was stalling immigration reform for a while, after it became clear that it was just amnesty with a fancy title. That's not much to hang one's hat on. Especially disheartening was hearing our majority leaders pay lip service to leftists goals, much hand-wringing over AGW and other issues, etc....
They'll not listen to us until they respect us.....they won't respect us until they fear us more than they do the left.....and they won't fear us until.....\

They just teach the curriculum. Usually they aren't bright enough to know the background of the twaddle they are fed and are told to fed the students. One of my son's recently had to sit through a unit on how Islam was the religion of peace. He challenged the teacher and she said this was what she was required to teach and that she didn't completely buy it either. They attend endless meetings and schooling to keep their credentials up to date where they are indoctrinated in the most dulcet tones. None of them are brain surgeons and very very few have the slightest idea what is really going on. Their profession awards compliance and lefty-ness.

Yeah, maybe if those stupid shits had taken notice of how friggin' fast "capitalists" like Jeff Immelt weaseled their way into positions of influence within the Obama administration, they'd realize that the average non-politically-connected-or-valuable-in-any-way wannabe commie asshole in a capitalist society is just as non-politically-connected-or-valuable-in-any-way in a communist society. And in a communist society the non-politically-connected-or-valuable-in-any-way are way, way more expendable, since society produces less of everything required to sustain human life overall.
Not to be a genetic determinist or anything, but alpha males and alpha females will end up at the top of any society. What these Copenhagen commies should realize is that as non-alphas they'll only ever get the crumbs of whatever pie society produces, so they should support the form of society that creates the biggest pie and every piece of historical evidence we have says that's capitalism.

It's the most ostentatious beneficieries of capitalism who want to trash it, safe in thier cocoon of trust funds and parental money. You hardly ever see poor young people indulging in this stupidity, they are too busy building careers and lives.
The other reason is that with almost everything permissible young people have so few things to rebel against. So you have parents who are rich and successful then the quickest route to causing angst is to rebel against the system that enabled all that. It was the same in the 60s and 70s.
