Couple Crashes White House State Dinner. [dri]
— Open Blog

Tareq Salahi and his wife Michaele slipped through White House security last Tuesday night to attend an official state dinner they were not invited to. The couple then brazenly shared chick peas and Granache wine with President Obama, the First Lady, and Vice President Biden.

The Secret Service is looking into its security procedures after determining that the Virginia couple managed to slip into Tuesday nightÂ’s event even though they were not on the guest list, agency spokesman Ed Donovan said.

President Barack Obama was never in any danger because the Salahis went through the same security screening for weapons as the 300-plus people actually invited to the dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Donovan said.

The spokesman further noted that "guests had no access to cutlery, silverware, or glassware at the event"

The Secret Service learned of the security breach after the couple posted pictures of the adventure on their Facebook page.

1 Honestly?  As much as we might like to claim it's the incompetent Obama administration, I'm more concerned that the Secret Service might be getting sloppy.

9 So the theory is that the White House is paying off its loyal press with stunts that compromise security, giving them the out of blaming the SS?

If so, I'd like to quote from the movie 'Stripes':

Remember all the stories about how Hillary treated people??  Take the nastiness that came from her disdain and loathing and feeling of superiority, add in First Precedent Jugears Asshole Hussein and First Wookie M'Chelle's "Black Reparations Entitlement Mentality" and multiply by Racism cubed, and you'll have some idea of the working conditions these people face 24/7.

My guess is that Secret Service is afflicted with the same political correctness issues that the Army is: that is, any agent who challenges a non-white who turns out to be legit can kiss his career goodbye. Small wonder the guy could brazen his way into the dinner: the security person probably figured he was an FOB (Friend of Barry) and waved him in.

That crap cost 14 people their lives at Fort Hood. I just hope it doesn't wind up costing Barry his.

95 I'm more concerned that the Secret Service might be getting sloppy.

"Sloppy" is allowing Cessna 150's close enough that they crash on the lawn.  We're not quite there yet, but give it time.

I sure did.  It's freaking me out.  Obama Everywhere!

Soon his picture will be on all of our coinage and paper money.  Pretty soon you can our currency as wall paper.  The good news is that you can use it for toilet paper too.

97 I'm telling you, I couldn't walk though that party the other night without hearing an East Indian accent.

I don't know why the Indian PM got all pissy when I asked him if he had lemon-lime Slurpees

Stalker in Chief Andrew Sullivan pledges to fight Sarah Palin forever:

Why I Worry
And why I will not relent on Palin and the danger she represents:

"The energy that actually shapes the world springs from emotions -- racial pride, leader-worship, religious belief, love of war -- which liberal intellectuals mechanically write off as anachronisms, and which they have usually destroyed so completely in themselves as to have lost all power of action ...  [H.G. Wells] was, and still is, quite incapable of understanding that nationalism, religious bigotry and feudal loyalty are far more powerful forces than what he himself would describe as sanity."

And we appease or ignore those forces at our peril.

I fear one day we will be discussing Andrew Sullivan's danger signs as we are doing now with Nidal Hassan.

99 The First Couple was never in any danger because the intruders "went through the same security screening for weapons as the 300-plus people actually invited to the dinner." You mean the same crack security that allowed these two turds to make their way into the White House, unquestioned? And since when do you need necessarily need a weapon to kill someone? There are people trained to do it with their bare hands, or with a dining utensil. This is really just unbelievable.

100 "...potential candidates for "Real Housewives of D.C...." nuff said. Posted by: Mjim at November 26, 2009 09:37 AM (mMdWG) Well, that explains the motivation for doing what they did... I'm not sure it explains the how of it, though.

These boneheads are the most incompetent crew ever to have managed to get to the top of a State house, much less the WH. My heart goes out to the SS. However, I think this shows something to be very concerned about. When the SS holds the current TOTUS in contempt, bad things can happen. Remember Dealey Plaza. And trust me, the WORST thing that could happen would be to have Obama the Bastard assassinated. That would both provide the lefties a martyr and give them a almost certain shot at getting through all the crap we've got a good chance of stopping now.

Pray for Obama's good health until December 2012. After that, I hope he gets what he deserves, whatever that is.

102 Can you imagine if these were Lakshar cells who were disguised well and took the occasion to attack the Indian PM?

All the apologies in the world wouldn't calm the Indian people down

75  Obviously the pair were waved through the checkpoints  because of their Arabic-sounding name.  Can't be bigoted, ho, ho, ho.

They have odd names and the woman was wearing a saree not a dress.  Can't profile guests or anything, that might get you fired.
