Hillary....Smart Power(TM) Has Produced Bupkis From Iran
— Ace

Obama has a month in which to make good on his pledge to meet with Ahmadinejad so keep hope alive!

The accumulating evidence of Iran’s nuclear momentum emerges as Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton conceded Monday that the White House has little to show for nearly a year of diplomatic engagement with Iran over its nuclear ambitions. “I don’t think anyone can doubt that our outreach has produced very little in terms of any kind of a positive response from the Iranians,” Clinton told reporters.

In fairness this is all Bush's fault. I shouldn't have to point that out but there it is.

So after a year a relentless sucking up to a murderous regime, Obama has nothing more to show for his efforts than the cowboy diplomacy of the BushCheney Reich. Who, aside from everyone on this blog, could have seen that coming?

Unfortunately for those of us who aren't thrilled at the prospects of a nuclear armed Iran, the game of diplomacy is never truly over. There's always one more outreach effort to make or one more international conference to attend. All the while the mullahs, who are obviously more interested in nukes than taking 'their rightful place in the world community' that Obama is always going on about, are getting closer and closer to their dream.

I'd say that's worth a B+.

Ah, but according to the mullahs, 'their rightful place in the world community' is as rulers of an Islamicized world.  Nukes'll help with that.

7 I'm sure that we can all live with a nuclear Iran. And when if they target us, I already have the white flag ready.

Change!

10 It is not the kankles and pant suit that make her so onerous....I have both of those and consider myself quite nice....it is her dispicable, lieing, wretched soul that makes her such a waste of skin!

It's really no different than someone with an addiction to gambling. No matter how much money you've just lost if you just had another twenty dollars you could make everything right again.

21 But don't worry.  I'm sure that Smart Diplomacy will work much better with North Korea, China, Venezuela, Russia, and everybody else who wants to see us curl up and die.  We just need another apology offensive.  Or offensive apology.  Take your pick.

22 I will say this...CATO just had a special on nukes...Hiroshima sized nuke would only take out 1% of NYC. Not saying that is 'acceptable' in some way but will say this means Israel could take a couple hits from Hizbullah, fire back, and still exist.

In the end, there will be only nuclear fallout.

Remember though that Israel is only really a one or two bomb state.  If Iran were to drop a Hiroshima-sized nuke on Tel Aviv and Haifa, the nation is effectively finished as a functional entity for a long time.  And then you'd have Syria and Hezbollah jumping in, and Syria might also have nukes and it's well known that Syria has a robust chem/bio program.

29 Hey, hold on a minute, I really, really, really thought if we were really, really nice to them and made sure not to do anything to provoke them, that they would understand we don't mean them any harm. Barack Obama said that was how it would work. And he said on Sunday night that relations with other nations was a lot better. I mean, it couldn't have been any worse than with Bushitler in office, could it. Come on, didn't any of you other guys think it would work?

Israeli strategic strikes on their entire military infrastructure will get their attention even more.

Iif Hillary is saying this, does this mean she may run an insurgent challenge to a weakened Obamunist in 2012, just as a weakened Jimmuh Carturd had a challenge, albeit from Teddy Glug-Glug, in 1980? I just know Hillary is still seething at being rooked out of a nomination that was honestly rightfully hers. She won all the Demunist primaries that really matter and caucuses are a joke.

42 It's almost like Obama thinks a nuclear-armed Iran would be a good thing and his administration is merely going through the motions.
