— Gabriel Malor Didn't Democrats accuse Bush 43 of imperialism or colonialism or a dozen -isms for interfering in the politics in other countries? Vulgar fourth-grade wisdom had the truth of Democrats then: "Whoever smelt it dealt it."
Obama proved it with Honduras.
There is a lesson there for small democracies. If they abide by democratic principles, sustain a united front domestically, and refuse to accede to the arrogance of Foggy Bottom and the White House, they can control their own destiny. (Hmm, seems to also have worked out in Israel.) That it should require such a Herculean effort to resist the strong-arming tactics of the United States is sobering and distressing.
Sobering, distressing, heartbreaking, and infuriating. The President of the United States was helping to overturn a free and democratic government for no other reason than he wanted to help a socialist Chavista. This should be the blackest mark on Obama's record so far (though by no means is it the sole count against him). But, hoo-hum, the Left and the legacy media (BIRM) just look right past it.

"This should be the blackest mark on Obama's record so far (though by no means is it the sole count against him)."
The problem is, how many blackmarks against Obama is it going to taking before the majority of people wake-up and start to do something concrete about it.

It's disgraceful, that's for sure. What we all fear is that this will look like small potatoes when the dust has settled and we look back on this disaster of a presidency.

And then we get down to it, and they happen to be actual imperialists, too.
If you're going to be a half-assed imperialist, at least go after the brutal dictatorships and basketcase non-state states rather than a functioning democratic republic.
Of course, that's if you try to address the whole thing in terms of intellectual honesty. The truth is that the Left is simply dishonest and whatever "arguments" they give are just cover for their goal of global authoritarian Marxism. Lying for the cause is SOP on the Left.

When everything you do is a black mark against democracy, some of the black marks - with the help of the MSM - don't look so bad. I.E.:
Happy days!Unemployment only 10%
(I will appologize for any possible misspellings now... I've already started drinking today...

A confrontation-averse Community Organizer (but I repeat myself)?
This is how they do it, remember: they get the Community riled up and determined to right the wrong, and then they leave.
Regrettably for the COOTUS, the Commnuity didn't see it his way.

Yes, but heartening, too. Honduras had its democratic way despite Obama's attempt to install his chavista pals. Central America is better off.

Barry couldn't take a few minutes to read the Honduran Constitution?
I was busy campai...um, uh, governing. I can't do everything you know.

15 Except for Joe Biden this is an administration of incompetent boobs.
Jeebus, be careful!! The juxtaposition of these concepts, separated by less than 4 words, could cause a tear in the fabric of space-time and destroy the Solar System! Think how pissed the CERN people would be if some amateur managed that before they could!!

When our government took the tyrant's side in Honduras, I felt an entirely new emotion which I had never experienced before.
For the first time in my life, I was ashamed of my country.

When will the abuse of the word "democratic" finally cease? Honduras was an example of the difference between a Democracy and a Constitutional Republic (something that we seem to have forgotten about, here). There was nothing about "democracy" in Honduras that was being "overturned". The problem in Honduras was that the leftist Chavez-wannabe was trying to force democratic processes in an area that the nation's constitution proscribed. I am distressed, time and again, by the way people throw this word "democratic" around. The key to a Constitutional Republic is that democratic processes are used sparingly and within well-defined limits, with the ultimate power being vested in the prescriptions of the constitution.
It is a great victory for civilization that Honduras' constitution won out over the wildly insane application of democratic processes - even though Honduras did buckle to external powers and allow themselves to be forced in all sorts of machinations. Now, if only we could do the same and start by adhering to the prescriptions of our own Constitution, instead of giving in to the un-American and idiotic idea that ... "But, 66 million people voted for ..."

The good news: the Honduran constitution, and the Honduran people won against Obama's attempt to impose Chavism on them.
The bad news: Iran and China and the Taliban see how little Honduras stood up to Obama and won, and they figure Obama is a weakling who can pushed around with impunity. In which assessment, they undoubtedly are right.

Those fucking whores can "look past it" all they want. The rest of the world will not. ESPECIALLY THE SMALLER COUNTRIES.

Why would he give a rat's a** about Honduras' Constitution?
I'm still awaiting evidence he cares for our own.

Embarrassing is the most polite thing that can be said.
Disgusting is what it is. Ronald Regan is rolling over in his grave.
Jimmy Carter is still not sure the election was valid, oh wait, he didn't go, wonder why?
God help us.
