NFL Sunday Night
— Dave in Texas

Cowboys against the Redskins. I love it how they still make Dallas wear their colors on the road.

I also love Terence Newman interceptions.

ALSO. Meaningless game, keep your QB healthy?

I dunno. I just wanna beat the Redskins.

It's not just that Caldwell pulled Manning....it was when he pulled Manning. The Colts could have taken the lead with a TD; it's not like the game was a lost cause.

7 Eat a bag of dicks, Dave. Normally I take the Redskins-Cowboys feud as seriously as a Sicilian Mafia vendetta, but the Skins suck so bad this year I'm having a hard time really feeling the motivation. Bad enough my DCC vet friends are going to give me a ration of shit after the Skins fuck this one up.

Of course not. You guys need every win to get to the post-season. Then they can break your heart in the Wild Card game when Tony Romo throws to his favorite receivers. The other teams defensive backs..

119 Here is the full from DU (comment 20):

I agree with your assessment on this but here is a missing perspective... Nigerians celebrate Christmas with setting off fire-crackers. The questions are, is this particular Nigerian visiting the United States for the very first time? Was he engaging in his country's practice of celebrating Christmas with fire-cracker? Did he choose the very worse place to engage in his celebrations?
Like you stated, the mere possession of fire-crackers and displaying them on a plane should get this idiot (and I do not use the word 'idiot' lightly) charged with terrorism. But let us remember not everyone is aware of our laws, security concerns and way of life, I am just saying... She(?)'s tap dancing around.  Also, other posters listing the usual Republicans fault.  But surprisingly, some Mr. Not So Wonderful bashing, some of it wrapped up in his Afghan decision.

122 As a Jets fan I can't complain too much about the Colts keeping Peyton safe and warm, but I'd imagine the other Wild Card contenders can't be too pleased about it

5 teams are at 8-7 in the AFC and still have a shot at the 2 WC spots

Jets
Steelers
Texans
Ravens
Broncos

124 I'm not sure.

I look at Hot Air, MM's site, and Ace, and I see no mention of it during any of the daily posts. No mention anywhere. And there are people bleeding on the streets, talks of coups and revolutions, and the future of 70 million people at stake.

I just think it warrants something a bit more than an NFL thread for me to post my interweb rants.

125 DU commentator's perspective is like commenting how the 9/11 hijackers use of box cutters remind one of some muslim sects cutting themselves since both parties use knives in their actions.  Nice triviality, but nothing to do with anything going on.

It's that kind of defeatist attitude that will loose us the fight in 2010.

We have work to do, folks. Let's get a bit focused for once and start doing our duty.

Human liberty and freedom is the epitome of classical liberalism, ie, conservatism. We must reclaim it for our party platform on all fronts if we desire to save our country.

134 Yeah, glanced through some of DU's threads.  They were funny back in the day, but they are just annoying now.  Some dude yammering about the next GOP coup in the mold of Reagan/Bush (I know, WTF?), Bush/Cheney.  And the One needs to make sure the press trumpets his successes and amplifies his finger pointing of who's to blame in the current economic downturn (like they're not already doing it).  This guy is actually picking Romney/Jeb Bush as the likely Republican duo in 2012.  I feel dumber already... My IQ is slowly draining.... Must close DU while there is hope....

I agree with a hearty amen.  Those idiots would make a pessimistic, hypochrondriac cranky old codger look all sunny and positive, full of optimism and life.  I'm surprised they haven't solved AGW by doing themselves in to alleviate all their misery.

We should be hanging 35 up on them by now. He can't draw up a good short 3rd down play (or 4th) to save his life.

When I was in college I had a manager at the restaurant where I worked who would get a 32oz ice tea tumbler, fill it with ice and pour Dewar's into it.  He'd drink a couple of those, play some pool, and look for a fight.

144 It was bad enough that the Deadskins made Hot Air last week, but it made me sick to my stomach to watch them say "No mas" with six minutes left in the game tonight. Absolutely disgusting. I don't care that the offense couldn't score on a Boys Club team. Just don't quit.

Just to set the record straight:

#11 for the Cowboys, Mr. Roy Williams, played his HS football at the legendary, vaunted, quasi-sacred, Mojo High School in Mojo, TX. He then spent 4 years at THE UNIVERSITY catching balls from Vince. So playing for an outfit like the Cowboys is kind of a let down as you can well understand. It's more like........ a hobby for him. So y'all get off his ass, wouldja? Could he have thrown a block and gotten Whitten in the endzone. Probably. He was a 25 foot long jumper back in his MOJO HS days. But his hobbies don't include blocking. Just catching. Occasionally.

The Redskins? Pathetic. The Obama "Administration"? Pathetic. The way people drive? Pathetic. The cancer that's killing the Internet? Pathetic.
