Obama: Danny Glover's a Dick
— Ace

Well, that's basically what he said. And if he'd said just that, I guess I'd agree. But he didn't.

He told us how damnably popular he is, yet again.

President Barack Obama deflected criticism Monday that he has not been attentive enough to the African-American community, telling American Urban Radio Networks that he was unconcerned to see that kind of message coming from former supporters such as actor Danny Glover.

"If you want me to line up all the black actors, for example, who support me and put them on one side of the room and a couple who are grumbling on the other, I'm happy to have that," Obama said, adding that polls show African-Americans express "overwhelming support for what we've tried to do."

In an interview with reporter April Ryan, Obama argued that the fact of his sitting with Ryan for an interview with the Oval Office was significant on its own.

"Is there grumbling?" he asked rhetorically. "Of course, there's grumbling, because we just went through the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression."

As Kanye West said, Obama hates black people. Or at least his grumbling black critics.

I think we can establish a general rule that Obama doesn't like anyone who doesn't polish his ass to a high sheen.

A bit more:

Obama repeatedly used the pronoun "we" in discussing America's black community, but insisted that he shouldn't be expected to target policies exclusively to African-Americans.

"The only thing I cannot do is, by law I can't pass laws that say I'm just helping black folks," Obama said. "I'm the president of the entire United States. What I can do is make sure that I am passing laws that help all people, particularly those who are most vulnerable and most in need. That, in turn, is going to help lift up the African-American community."

This is a bit telling. Much of what he's doing is a wealth-transfer from one demographic (older, whiter) to another (younger, blacker). One needn't need to be a racist to object to such take-from-me-to-give-to-thee scheming.

As he says, he can't pass laws that "say" he's doing this, even if he's kind of doing it.

This guy has just never gotten serious criticism in his life. He's been overindulged and promoted far beyond his abilities his whole damn life. Until now, when he's promoted to a position he's plainly unqualified for, and he's shocked at this new human invention called "criticism."

Psychologically, this guy is the high school Alpha Jock who was King Shit of Fuck Mountain for the whole of his life... until he fails to make the team in college, and his status as a superstar is suddenly taken away from him.

And he reacts with anger, of course, swirled with a bit of existential panic -- What is he if not that?

So that's what we have in this "first-class temperament" guy. A coddled, petulant boy-man who stewing in resentment that the the rest of his life wasn't just as easy as grades K-12.

Thanks to AHFF Geoff.

6 SO sick of the meme regarding the "worst economic crisis since the Great Depression." You took a bad but manageable situation and made it infinitely worse - just because you could - and just because doing so allowed you to line the pockets of your core constituents. Grow up, you petulant three year old.

10 I don't think the college jock analogy quite works.  For one thing, he's still supported by an alarming number of fools who think he's King Poo.

The problem is that he only won in high school because the other teams forfeited but he thinks it was because he's such a bitchin' quarterback.  Now he's getting his ass kicked on the college team.

Except, of course, he's still pretty much getting every damn thing he wants.

*sigh*

See, the real problem is that Obama's still succeeding.  See ObamaCare.

17 Obama's worse than the high school jock. He's the asshole who got repeatedly pantsed by the high school jock, found out first hand a "swirlie" is not a type of ice cream, and never got laid by anything not attached to his arm. Obama is that guy who graduated, and worked his way into acedemia where he represented the holy grail of liberal guilt to former useful idiots. He does this to screw everyone he felt had an advantage or was better than him (note the chip on the shoulder) like the jock, and he requires constant affirmation so he won't sink back to his depressed pitiful self. He's that guy you went to high school with who was a loser and became a cop just to use his "authorit-i" to show you how awesome he is. In short, a bully. 35 Obama only cares about black America on one day each year. That's Father's Day, when he likes to go to the black church and lecture black men about how they're not being good fathers, or how they need to stop feeding their kids fried chicken for breakfast, like he did during the campaign. I think he does that because he feels white folks like to hear it.  Remember Jesse Jackson's comment when he was heard saying he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off?  He was upset because Obama was talkin' down to black folks. I don't think Obama has a very positive feeling about the black community, except that we need to be taken care of.

I believe that this is actually a jobs proposal.  I know, I know!  That's crazy you say!  Hear me out.

The plan is actually an ingenius plan for achieving full employment.  If students don't have to know anything, why would teachers?  When they go through the gut picking up winos and hookers, they could just drop them off at the closest school... Teachers!

You just watch, when this plan is enacted, Obama will take credit for it.  Hell, he's probably already counting all of the jail populations right now as jobs created and saved!

what makes it "possible"?  if the people were in a car shooting guns out of it while the car was in motion, I'd say that is a drive by.

90 Obama hates black people

Actually, he does.  Like all community organizers, they're just cannon fodder for him.  Oh, he likes the Ivy Leaguers -- affirmative action or not -- they're part of the club and they're working for social justice for the little guy.

No matter how many little guys have to die in the process.

Hey, how about the DC school vouchers program?

Exactly.

92 Whether there's a public option in there or not, if you don't have health insurance, you are going to have now the option of getting it at a reasonable cost.

The great fallacy here is that those of low income ALL don't have insurance simply because of money. Total BS. They have plenty of health care. Yeah it's crappy but it's free, for the most part. You can't get blood from a stone. No cost is reasonable if you are unwilling to pay anything. If this bill finally goes through Obama's precious poor and young will be the first to turn on him because they are the ones who have the least desire to purchase insurance. Fine instead? No problem. They pay fines all the time. Jail, no problem. You get free health care in jail. Food and a bed too.

given how a lot of states are broke or close to it, I have been wondering what would happen to people totally dependent on city/county/local money/support for their home/food/etc.

I wish no harm to come to my fellow americans, but something has to give, states are just plain running out of money, so are the Feds. When the money runs out, what happens next?..........

The problem and the irony is, the longer the libs/Dems/progressives keep the plates spinning in the current system, the more people get signed up either for welfare and transfer payments or for 6 figure government salaries with gold-plated pensions, the harder the crash is going to be when it inevitably comes.  (And some of their strategists even get that, see Cloward-Pivens.)  I'd rather see the transfer payment/welfare state halt now, even if it means an immediate crash, when we still have the capital to rebuild private enterprise and the luxury of giving to private charity.  But the way to bet in our democracy is that we'll keep going down this road until the money runs out hard, and the people who looked ahead and provided for their families aren't going to open their wallets and cupboards to help out welfare cases and government employee princes if it means starving their own families.  I think one or two generations out may see the vindication of the survivalists, and I'm not looking forward to it.

110 First Danny Glover turns on Barry now his comrades in Cuba:

HAVANA – Cuba's foreign minister called President Barack Obama an "imperial and arrogant" liar Monday for his conduct at the U.N. climate conference, a reflection of the communist island's increasingly fiery verbal attacks on the U.S. government.

Bruno Rodriguez spent an hour and a half lambasting Obama's behavior in Copenhagen, telling a news conference, "at this summit, there was only imperial, arrogant Obama, who does not listen, who imposes his positions and even threatens developing countries."

146 Here's today's Dear Leader message of thanks. ------------------------------------- Early this morning, the Senate made history and health reform cleared its most important hurdle yet -- garnering the 60 votes needed to move toward a final vote in that chamber later this week. This marks the first time in our nation's history that comprehensive health reform has come to this point. And it appears that the American people will soon realize the genuine reform that offers security to those who have health insurance and affordable options to those who do not. I'm grateful to Senator Harry Reid and every senator who's been working around the clock to make this happen. And I'm grateful to you, and every member of this community, for all the work you have done to make this progress possible. After a nearly century-long struggle, we are now on the cusp of making health insurance reform a reality in the United States of America. As with any legislation, compromise is part of the process. But I'm pleased that recently added provisions have made this landmark bill even stronger. Between the time when the bill passes and the time when the insurance exchanges get up and running, insurance companies that try to jack up their rates do so at their own peril. Those who hike their prices may be barred from selling plans on the exchanges. And while insurance companies will be prevented from denying coverage on the basis of pre-existing conditions once the exchanges are open, in the meantime there will be a high-risk pool where people with pre-existing conditions can purchase affordable coverage. A recent amendment has made these protections even stronger. Insurance companies will now be prohibited from denying coverage to children immediately after this bill passes. There's also explicit language in this bill that will protect a patient's choice of doctor. And small businesses will get additional assistance as well. These protections are in addition to the ones we've been talking about for some time. No longer will insurance companies be able to drop your coverage if you become sick and no longer will you have to pay unlimited amounts out of your own pocket for treatments that you need. Under this bill families will save on their premiums; businesses that would see their costs rise if we don't act will save money now and in the future. This bill will strengthen Medicare and extend the life of the program. Because it's paid for and gets rid of waste and inefficiency in our health care system, this will be the largest deficit reduction plan in over a decade. Finally, this reform will extend coverage to more than 30 million Americans who don't have it. These are not small changes. These are big changes. They're fundamental reforms. They will save money. They will save lives. And your passion, your work, your organizing helped make all of this possible. Now it's time to finish the job. Thank you, President Barack Obama

153 Obama is not, nor never was the King Shit of Fuck Mountain jock.

On the high school basketball team, at the Punaho school in Hawaii,  the dude was a second-stringer who was famous for whining.

In any case, Obama’s inability to connect with these voters surprises McLaughlin, the Punahou coach, who remembers Obama as humble and able to get along with everyone. Obama, whom McLaughlin still calls "Barry," was a reserve forward on his talented senior year varsity basketball team — which won the state championship that year.

About half-way through the year, McLaughlin said, Obama wasnÂ’t happy with the amount of playing time he was getting. Instead of griping, Obama got all the second-string players together and arranged a meeting with McLaughlin to air their grievances. McLaughlin recalled that there was nothing confrontational or angry about the meeting, but Obama and the other players lobbied for more playing time in a constructive way.

What he is, is a semi-stoner who's coasted through life on his slightly-above average intelligence, decent good looks, moderate personal charm, and the non-threatening mocha color of his skin.

And now he's fucked because he's found a position where his underwhelming talents cannot be leveraged by the affirmative action good-wishes of a white establishment desperate to prove they're not racists.

Unfortunately, we, as a nation, also boned by this fucker's incompetence.

158 This guy has just never gotten serious criticism in his life. He's been overindulged and promoted far beyond his abilities his whole damn life. Until now, when he's promoted to a position he's plainly unqualified for, and he's shocked at this new human invention called "criticism."

He's been in positions he's been unqualified for, all of his life. Who can listen to him ramble off-TOTUS and think that he had anything interesting to say at the Harvard Law Review? I'm sure his SATs and LSATs slapped him around with a little reality - as well anyone he met who had no stomach for stupidity ... especially arrogant stupidity, which is an affront to civilization, itself. He's always known that he hasn't a clue. He just doesn't care. This is a mission of revenge. He's out to destroy the West and he thinks it's funny that we let someone as imbecilic as him have so much power. Clearly, The Precedent has always been out of his depth.

It is true that he's spent much of his adult life in campaign mode, lying about everything in sight. Even though anyone with a grain of common sense could see this about him, he still has managed to ride white-guilt to fooling most of the people most of the time. Great generation we've got, here ... Yep.

Most blacks have been taught since birth that Whitey is out to get them (except for the melatonin-challenged members of the Democratic party).  Most Democrats apply the bigotry of low expectations to blacks.  All of this combines to keep the bulk of blacks in poverty.

Right now, a growing proportion of the blacks are getting restless because they still have to pay for rent, gas and stuff.  It will be interesting to see if they turn on Dr. Utopia.

It's always seemed to me that the baseline Leftist policy is little more than a less-haphazard take on Manson's idea of "Helter Skelter".  Manipulate the blacks into getting rid of the middle-class whites, and then graciously stepping in to rule when the blacks realize that they can't govern themselves.

Lord knows the Commies ran that game enough in Africa (well, they ruled through puppets, but still...)

I have faith. I think it will take a guy pretending to have their best interests at heart and uses his race as a bargaining chip that finally wakes them up from their slumber. They are getting ready to be sold down the river again to a bigger victim class, the Spanish for votes and get thrown by the wayside as wreckage on the way to Dem absolute power.

Now is the time to shake the sleep from the their eyes and finally realize we're in this fight together for Americas heart and soul. We have been side by side in this country as brothers and sisters from its inception, although that history has not been kind to them in the past, it is time to shed past grievances if we are to keep this country intact as a free republic. This land is as much as theirs as it ours, we both have bled for it equally as soldiers and slaves.

(For younger morons, if you check the papers and personal accounts of the time,  those first class men were heroes, who helped women and children onto the life boats knowing they were doomed.  Before the 1950's,  those men were revered as examples of courage and heroism.)

As far as Avatar , I will not give money to anyone who actively supports liberal causes.  Why should Cameron get my money so he can give it to Obama's re-election campaign?   I refuse to increase his wealth by one nickle, and it is immaterial to me whether there is a little or a lot of political stuff in the movie.  I do not allow my money to be used for funding leftist causes, which Cameron obviously does since he has bragged about it.

232 Dear Federal Government,

I can't sign up for your health care but would like to subscribe to it for my extended family: 7.62, .40, .45, 410 and Twelve.  Twelve's not too happy about it, but I'll put a plug in for ya to change his mind!  Drop on in and meet the kids!.  Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Yours truly.

Looks like Reid's bill is actually worse than we thought.  It requires, by its own language, 67 votes to overturn.  Anyone see that?

I forget what white house dinner it was, maybe the press dinner. Or something. But I remember when Obama got up to give his "funny" speech. He acknowledged Michael Steele with ," 'Sup, man", and a little nod of his head. Gee hee. Haw haw. Gosh, Mr. President. You are so
down.

Posted by: crystal at December 21, 2009 09:38 PM (KVSUW)

I mean, hell why not, just about every knock or allegation of racism from a leftist politician or pundit against his constituency has gone uncontested or agreed with by Steele, so yea, they're pretty much "homies" in my book.

239 Posted by: shibumi at December 21, 2009 09:19 PM (OKZrE) Not exactly, at least, from my reading. Interpol & it's employees are gaining income, import, property and Social Security tax exemptions similar to those enjoyed by foreign governments. The really troubling part is Section 2(c) where Interpol's property, assets and archives are now immune from search or confiscation. Putting on my tin foil hat, sounds to me like Interpol agents now get to carry weapons in the US. Or at least, it could be interpreted that way. Wonderful.

247 Jesus, Reid is just downright villainous. I can almost see him as a mustachio-twirling cartoon antagonist if he wasn't so weedy and ghey-looking. It's almost as if he knows he doesn't have much time left on Gaia and wants to take down as many hapless motherfuckers as he can before he croaks.

Coburn is a genuine person, IMO. Very gracious, and loves this country. He really wants what is best for America. Imagine that! When he responds to his constituents (of which I am one of) he addresses every issue/concern that was voiced. He's a badass...he can just sit back like most of the other republicans. He's putting his shit on the line. He really doesn't have to, he's pretty safe here in Oklahoma. Not one single, solitary county went for Obama. I will continue to vote for him, as long as he continues to fight.

I have 3 20 round clips and a Zeiss scope for my M1A, 10 30 rounders for my bushmaster.  The following is designed to send the lefties screaming for the woods, arms waving:  I have about 4,000 rounds of ammo and will be happy to support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign, AND DOMESTIC.

Hell, the only difference between Woodrow Call and Fred Thompson is Fred has an ultra hot wife, and Woodrow liked to clean his Henry out by the river. Gus is already a Conservative, and I'd follow him to Hell too.
We have to get over our hate of the soft squishy repubs in office and lead them back to the Conservative fold. Like Reagan said, we need to take back what is ours, we can't hope to start over and win. Look what happened with that sawed off runt. It just splits our vote.
Not to beat a dead horse, but we have to keep reminding these fools not to get above their raising. Every one of these idiots get to DC and decides they know better than the people that sent them.
Another thing we need to get across to people, is that the government ain't Santa Claus, and there ain't no elves making cash to give us for our pet projects. Find another way.
I laughed when I read that the Super Intelligent Ruler of All said that Washington can't spend money like it's Monopoly money.  I guess that doesn't count the 100 Million to Dodd or the 45 Million to Nelson, or the 100 Billion to the Global HVAC fund and stuff.
