— Ace Ten reasons he's parting ways with the right. Let me save you some time:
1) The right is a bunch of stupid haters.
Repeat x10.
Eh. I am only linking the traffic-whore drama-queen since the whole left side of the blogosphere just linked him (following Markos), so my contribution is trivial.
I just wrote this to Dan Riehl, who'd written me about it:
I saw that. Eh. What are ya gonna do.What is interesting to me is there are a large group of people who wish to consider themselves rationalists and pro-science, but are in fact scientifically illiterate themselves. They convince them they're in the Scientist Club by simply saying "Whatever you say is cool by me, guys!"
That is, of course, as far from science as you can get. You're not "pro-science" if you essentially reject actual science and venerate scientists like Oracles.
Another analogy is that Charles Johnson is the waterboy who offers to do the football players' laundry and take their SATs for them and thinks that by nature of his man-crush devotion to them he too is somehow a part of football.
I kind of hate sportscasters and sportswriters for this reason. Keith Olbermann sort of exemplifies the breed; there's enjoying football, and then there's just basically channeling a homoerotic obsession into a less taboo manner of expression.
If you can, do; if you can't, teach; and if you really, really want to do but haven't the training or talent, just gush about those who do like you're a groupie that just slipped backstage at an REO Speedwagon performance at Six Flags in 1977.
And so here we have Charles Johnson, jazz musician (supposedly -- I imagine his credits are limited to like "Background Horns for the Dorney Park Puppet Playhouse FunFest"), instructing us ad nauseam that the hacked emails don't mean anything, it's just like denying the Holocaust, there's no need to see these guys' data and methoolgy, etc.
That last part is breathtakingly anti-scientific, but this goofy twat thinks he's doing "science" by rubbing SportsCreme on Michael Mann's tender taint.
Charles Johnson just emailed me to say he would write a response, but he can't, he's too busy arranging the beakers and and getting a nice blue flame on his Bunsen burner. He's going to be really adjusting some variables today and other such things of a scientific-sounding nature.
In between, he'll be calling people haters and posting clips of music no one cares about.

Oh, man, Ace, now you've done it! When Glenn Beck mentioned Charles Johnson on his show, he described him as a "blogger and jazz musician," and Charles was so incensed at being dissed as a mere jazz musician that he opened a can of whup-ass on Beck. If history is a guide, this blog will now be taken down by the avalanche of new traffic and increased readership.
You gonna boil a frog too?

What I haven't been able to piece together yet is this argument that Republicans want a theocracy. I've had a few other lefties tell me that but they're never able to give me rational reasons to support it other than, "You're so dumb you don't even know you want a theocracy stupid Rethuglican!"

Why doesn't anyone just say the truth about Charles Johnson?
Charles Johnson is a blogger who thought he'd make a lot of money hitching his train to the right-wing blogosphere, co-creating Pajamas Media.
It didn't work out for him, and now hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Charles Johnson has always been a one-trick pony. Anyone who disagrees with Charles Johnson is a neo-Nazi. So, a couple years ago, DailyKos and so forth were all a bunch of neo-Nazis. Today, Ace of Spades, InstaPundit, Pajams Media, etc, are all a bunch of neo-Nazis.
The man is a joke. And you can't put any stock into his moral proclaimations. This is a man who said all of the enhanced interrogation methods against captured terrorists were akin to fraternity house hazing when he was hitched to the Pajamas Media train, but the moment that ended he started posting that interrogators had finally gone too far for him because they lied to terrorists and told them that someone might go after their families. So, in this example, Charles Johnson was all for all the enhanced interrogation methods, but suddenly the methods had gone too far when someone told a terrorist that we'd get his family. Merely lying to a terrorist was "over the line"! Well, just because Charles Johnson was mad t the right-wing blogosphere.
And you can only laugh at how he claims to be all about science, but his only contribution to the Climategate story is to say, over and over, "It's a phoney nontroversy!!!!"
Anyway, I found his list of reasons he parted ways rather pathetic, because it reveals a man who is obsessed with nothing more than the blogosphere. Oh, he's mad at Ace of Spades, Hot Air, etc etc. What a small, silly man! He bases his opinions on the issues facing our nation and the world on whether he's mad at Allahpundit for not deleting comments that attack him? LOL

CJ will cease to exist, as a fell tree in the forest that no one was around to hear, the moment everyone collectively decides not to respond to his taunts. But it has to be out of true boredom with his stchik. You have to FEEL it. We're not there yet, but the brazen taunting of this CJ hit piece indicates we're getting close. Close to the moment when no one even cares enough to bang out a response. And then he is as he hever existed.

Here's how the sick mind of Charles Johnson works: He was going after Pamela Gellar (he used like her so much that he designed her web site). Robert Stacy McCain attacks him for it. He gets mad and, as he always does when he's mad at someone, attempts to manufacture the proof that McCain is a Neo-Nazi white supremacist. Then, anyone who ever links to, posts anything from, or says anything nice about Robert Stacy McCain is, of course, also a Neo-Nazi white supremacist. Thus, when InsaPundit linked to McCain, InstaPundit became a Neo-Nazi white supremacist. And When Pajamas Media posted something by McCain, that site became a Neo-Nazi white supremcist site. The other day, Charles Johnson warned his commenters that anyone linking to Pajamas Media was doing the equivalent of linking to the Neo-Nazi web site Stormfront. He really said that.
And he calls other people deranged?
I find it interesting to browse over a comment section at LGF now and then, because of how suffocating it feels. The authoritarianism. The obsessive-compulsive, anal, control-freakazoid climate going on there.
It actually makes ME wonder about the right-wing blogosphere. How did the right-wing blogosphere ever buy into a crakpot jack-ass like and obviously mentally-ill person like Charles Johnson to begin with? Because he helped expose Rathergate? He didn't even break that story, though he likes to take all the credit. In fact, the story was broken by someone on Free Republic, a site Charles Johnson now considers a Nei-Nazi, white supremactist blah blah blah site.
Charles Johnsons' blogosphere career is destined for the same dustbin of history that his jazz recordings are in.

I actually kind of pity him. He never learned a lesson that most conservative people that I know learned from birth.
;">"For over a thousand years Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of triumph, a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeteers, musicians and strange animals from conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conquerors rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children robed in white stood with him in the chariot or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror holding a golden crown and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting."

Yes, Charles Johnson is the most intolerant person in the blogosphere. But I love how he tries to say he went from global warming skeptic to true believer because he did all the push-ups and studied hard. I've yet to see any proof of all his studying of science. He just says, over and over, that the debate is over, there is a scientific consensus, and you are insane if you question it. Charles Johnson has always loved authoritirians, that much has always been clear. But there's no proof he knows a damn thing about science. His deep contribution to the Climategate scandal was to just say, over and over like a brainless monkey, "It's all a phoney nontroversy!!!!!"

Charles Johnson wasn't always as nutty as he is today, so you probably shouldn't wonder too much. Maybe he was crazy the entire time but it went unnoticed because he never really wrote that much. He linked to stories, added a one or two sentence quip and his readers did the rest. The crazy didn't really come out until he was on his denouncement and purge binge. When that happened he was cut some slack for a few weeks and then he went off the rails at light speed. His toadies are as disturbing as he is, maybe more so. I'm pretty sure his change of attitude isn't an economic decision.

I've always made the mistake of trying too hard to understand where other people are coming from. When someone is out in la la land, ideologically inebriated, or simply lying, I try to make sense of what they are saying. This often amounts to trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Afterwards, when their disconnect with reality is woefully apparent, I feel like a fool for trusting that they were honest and rational. This is how I feel about Charles. Somewhere along the line he went off the rails. Maybe we should start calling him Darth Johnson.
I truly don't know what happened to Charles, but I do know that he'll fit in very well among the intellectual xenophobes of the left where unthinking ideological orthodoxy is seen as a virtue instead of the character flaw that it is.

I guess it's because in the heady days of Rathergate, a number of blogs built up communities, and they attracted people according to the type of site they presented and the attitudes, etc. No one gives a shit Balloonjuice went lefty, because he had zero community. But cj successfully built up a large community, then he suddenly not only starts attacking them, he attacks the entire right and every blog on the right. At the same time he lumps every far right fanatic in with every other Republican or conservative, he reserves for himself the conceit that he occupies the perfect, rational center, and he is not responsible for the hard left loonies, even if anyone right of center is responsible for neo-nazies.
When everyone gets over this, we'll all be a lot better off, and he'll be a lot sadder and bitterer, even than he is now. He REVELS in the fact we all care enough about him to talk about him. He's on his thread now, bragging about how many people are tweeting about him.

Charles is an internet loudmouth. I used to like going to his blog, and I got some grief for my opinions, but no big deal. Never got banned. Then he instituted his suck up machine, obtained some toadies, and the group think that was always present there got awful.
It used to be someone would post something like "Islam is an evil cult. It ruins everything it touches." and nobody would care. I notified the guy about stuff like that in his comments: he did dick all. At one time he didn't have a problem if people said that headscarves were the equivalent of Nazi swasticas. He used to say (apropos of Hotair) that the comments weren't HIS business, not HIS opinion, but he knew what that idiot bigel was posting on his site, and didn't seem to mind the calls for pre-emptive genocide.
I still go there on the occasion, to watch him pimp for Amazon.com. "Hey guys! Look at these kewl Halloween costumes for kidz!" Gravitas, gravitas.....

I recall one of the running jokes on LGF was about how technologically backwards Muslim countries were, and that all that Islam had contributed was tthe invention of the buzzing prayer rug. I think we have a winner. It's all about ego, and started with the Pam Geller attendance at the anti-Jihad conference in Brussels in 2007. I have to say, it's been bizarre and troubling watching such a public meltdown -- it reminds me of Andrew Sullivan's volte-face in 2004, when he went nuts after Bush came out against gay marriage. To me, this seems like something far more personal than political, and that's when I start tuning out as a blog reader.
Of course, there's another reason. I just checked Technorati and the formerly Top 10 LGF is no where near the Top 100. The traffic rank is 26,483th. Something had to be done! Watch out HuffPo.

It's not that he's parted ways with the right that makes me sick. It's that he's a full-blown, whining, sniveling leftist asshole. The fucking jerk thinks everyone and everying that opposes him is a fascist or a racist.
This is also what I don't get. Beck, Limbaugh, Geller, etc, etc....they aren't new faces on the right. They've been there for years. I've listened to beck since 2001. Their rhetoric hasn't changed. So did CJ just discover them???? And why such a huge turn now???? The whole thing reeks.
I've always suspected that he considered himself to be the "king of the blogosphere," and when people didn't bow down to him and his opinions, it garnered sort of a "well I'm taking my ball and going home" kind of response. It's very childish. His ranting about leftist causes he didn't give a shit about for years and years, I think are nothing more than an attempt to spite those that wouldn't kiss his ass like brainwashed followers. Doubt he's even a true leftist, but really nothing more than a narcissistic jerk with no friends. The way he has managed his blog the last year or so show that.
And I wish someone would tell that fuck that putting the phrase "white supremacist" in front of someone's name isn't fooling anyone. People know CJ is about: slandering anyone that didn't get in line with him and his opinions.
Oh, the Amazon peddling is fucking pathetic. And so is his music. Actually found clips on youtube of that asshole playing backup guitar with some band I've never heard of. He sucks on guitar.

also, the timing is interesting, considering that he has been descending into Kos Jr for at least a year. My hunch? Nobody gives a shit about a shift to the left because of creationism/evolution or perceived racism. But given the Climaquiddick scandal, it gives him an opportunity to officially break over a policy issue and lump all of his other grievances into one post.
He must think that the the Kos money will start rolling in, since he can't milk unemployed welfare whores like Irish Rose, Kilgore, and Cato the Elder, or social misfits like Sharmuta for any money, so why not see if he can translate the 15 seconds of attention MSNBC will give him onto a few more $$?
Oh, and to the few remaining "conservatives" over there: be prepared. He WILL eventually get you as well. And after al of the shifting you have done the last 12 months to keep him happy, the cut will be deep and painful, and you will be left wondering what happened to you, and if abandoning your principles was worth it.
Posted by: eddiebear at December 01, 2009 06:05 AM (wnU1W)
Johnson seems to have gone over his own, personal, psychological cliff. He also seems to be tremendously hateful of anyone with a socially or religiously conservative point of view, which is a considerable percentage of the country.
My guess is that he's having some personal crisis or there is some particular specific issue with is driving this. That's often the case for otherwise inexplicable careening from one political position to the other. Because, quite frankly, the right hasn't changed much at all. It's just seems like Johnson's decided he doesn't like it any more.
One other thing, I do tire of the commenters over at LGF who attempt to claim the mantle of Reagan. This is the same Reagan who stood on the podium at the Moral Majority conference and gave them a hearty endorsement. He was far more in tune with them than would-be elitists like Johnson and many other conservative apostates who confuse conservative social values with knuckle-dragging populism.
Posted by: ME at December 01, 2009 06:06 AM (ZiRwP)
In addition to the fact that CJ's list of reasons for parting with the right was juvenile, filled with errors and the same hate filled things he claims to be opposed, his list did make me ask one question.
What was it that ever made him think he was affilliated with the right in the first place? He is against traditionally held values of social conservatives, is anti-religious, loves abortion, seems not to understand the difference between a free enterprise system and Obama's brand of socialism, and has no understanding of America's role overseas. So if you look at the three major groups that make up the Right: social conservatives, fiscal conservatives, and national security hawks, where did Charles Johnson ever fit in with any of those groups?
I don't think he "parted ways with the right" because he was never really with the right to begin with.

Sadly, the Koslings are all stupid paranoids, too.
Given the amount of infighting on the Left, however, it won't take long for KOS, her majesty queen Huffpo and Charles to start engaging in Mothra v. King Kong epic style battles, where they accuse each other of being racists, Nazis and Islamphobes. Sharmuta and Irish Rose will wave pom-poms in support of Charles. The Albanian Nazi will scream. Kilgore Trout will spam Huffpo, or whatever leftist blog Charles is fighting at the moment , with horrible racial slurs, and then say this proves they're bigots.
But, hey, why not buy your loved ones a splendid Amazon kindle for Christmas?

He's going to be really adjusting some variables today and other such things of a scientific-sounding nature.
He'll be adjusting some dials too. Taking down some notes. Removing his glasses repeatedly and rubbing his chin in a thoughtful, concerned fashion. After that, he'll consult some charts and graphs, mix some powders, and make the electricity machine start whizzing with little bits of lightning, you know, real science.

I once read LGF daily. It always seemed I had just missed the open door to be allowed in the lizard army.
After a while I was allowed to comment on the threads. It seemed, at the time, the attraction had worn off. Then strange things began happening. My last post was followed by a warning: I could be banned for the content, warned not by Chuck, by readers who wanted me to post more.
All I can say is: Two Buck Chuck is nothing but an opportunist, he has no convictions, other than his quest for numbers and hatred for Christians.
Recently upgraded to Win7, lost my password, kind of like that rash finally clearing up.

I had to laugh (sadly) the other day reading Chucks blog. He said it didn't matter that the original climate data had been destroyed, because the cleaned up "adjusted" data was still available.
This reminded me of the Rathergate documents that Lucy Ramirez gave to Bill Burkett. Burkett said he didn't have the origninals because he burned them after making copies.
I seem to remember Charles wasn't willing to let that excuse fly.

In response to your childish tirade.
1. Buchanan twice?
Man, you must really hate him.
I look at Buchanan much like I look at Limbaugh.
I like some of what they say, but I don't agree 100%.
Buchanan doesn't support Israel. I do.
Other than that, he's at least right of center on most other issues.
2. Pat again? Take a pill already. I think Ann Coulter makes some very accurate points about the slime that is the left in this country, but she doesn't speak for me either.
3. Puleeze. Just because I believe that late term abortion happens to be murder, you think I want to throw women back into the dark ages? I also happen to believe in God, and that makes me a religious fanatic?
4. Perhaps you are ignorant of the fact that the science community has been actively attempting to HIDE THE DECLINE in temperatures, and dumping the raw data in favor of the manipulated data, even Al Gore has been proven to photoshop hurricanes onto the cover of his latest book ... because the satellite photo didn't show enough bad weather to support his idiotic claims.
May I suggest you take the time to educate yourself on the topic, and the reality that the warming trend has apparently stopped...no thanks to humanity.
5. Most Conservatives couldn't care less what you do in your betdroom or with whom. Also, most Conservatives believe that committed couples should be allowed to share the same benefits of estate, health decisions, and family coverage that married couples enjoy. What thoughtful Conservatives object
to is the labelling of this partnership as "marriage". Call it Domestic Partnership licensing, and we have no problem. Just don't force your way of life down the throats of my children.
6. I have attended 2 TEA Partys. I believe that the American people are Taxed Enough Already and that the rampant deficit spending that government is currently doing will cripple our country financially.
If you disagree with that, then don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, Charles.
7. Did you forget Pat Buchanan in your list this time? Hate speech? Are you now defining hate speech as anyone who doesn't say what you have bought into?
8. You mean like LGF? Or at least what LGF USED TO BE.
9. You mean like LGF? Or at least what LGF USED TO BE.
10. Puleeeze. Grow a sense of humor. You saw what the moderate left did to Bush. It was far worse than how the moderate right has treated Obama. You can't judge any movement by its fringes.
So, Charles, dive off the deep end, if you wish. Pretend that there isn't a Socialist takeover happening in the USA, and gulp down some
Olbarmann/Madow Kool-Aid with your George Soros cookies.
Count me out, Charles. Consider this formal resignation of my registration to this formerly good website.
If you can't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. Thank you for the proof.

On that note, a partial list of why so many have parted ways with LGF:
1. Overuse of the "racist" label.
2. Overuse of the "fascist" label.
3. Overuse of the "bigot" label.
4. Overuse of the "white supremacist" label.
5. Overuse of the sexist adjetive "stupid" or "crazy" when referring to any right-of-center woman.
6. Overuse of the "denier" label.
7. Overuse of the "lunatic" label.
8. Overuse of the "hate speech" label.
9. Overuse of the "conspiracy" label.
Greshams Law -- Too many juvenile discussions (both right and left) get halted when one side accuses or labels the other as "nazi," instead of rational argument. Any of the 10 terms, above, are just modern substitutes for nazi name-calling.
Bad discourse forces good discourse out of public circulation. Not a good thing.
How would Ronald Reagan have fared at LGF? Not well, which is illustrative.

Charles,
Let's grant that there are ugly sides to all political persuasions. (If you can't see the stark raving hatred on the Left, the discussion is over.) But the real question: what are your values? Do you believe in bigger government? Do you believe in Free Enterprise? Do you believe that scientist's should offer their data and methodology for examination without playing games and should invite real dissent? Do you believe that scientists should not be promoting political agendas through their work? Do you believe that everyone who posits an opinion should be open to being challenged on the facts supporting that opinion? Do you really believe people like Keith Olbermann, Markos Moulitas, and Andrew Sullivan are in their right minds? Anyway, sorry to see you go so far overboard. One last question: Do you ever question your own sanity?

I read LGF for about five years, and was registered for the last couple or so. He became too hateful and irrational for me two or three months ago, so I haven't posted there since, and have only been back once to read through the threads since then. He has become rather intolerant of any reasonable opinion contrary to his own, to the point of being exceptionally rude and disrespectful.
Apparently, quite a few others agree; in looking at the "coming out" post (although it became obvious to everyone long ago), I only recognize MandyManners, Sharmuta, and a couple of other posters. Everyone else is new to me.

I don't care why Charles Johnson parted ways with the right. The guy's a ridiculously inconsistent fuckhead (and that's being charitable) who shrills histrionically against virtually any sort of agenda that allows any sort of polite engagement with theists who don't believe in evolution hard enough.
I don't really care when or why inconsistent fuckheads (who fight imaginary cryptonazis that they used to praise and quote and link to on a DAILY BASIS)suddenly reverse course, dramatically part with the right, ban their few remaining readers for stuff like 'down dinging' and 'disagreeing', and then expect a pat on the head for it from supposedly decent/courageous people.
Good riddance to 'em. I'm not gonna cry about it. I didn't cry when the likes of Brock, Huffington, or Sullivan did the exact same shit. I also didn't cry when Chris Buckley and Frum did the toned down version of "the split".
Why dont'cha call up 'ol Charles Darwin on your imaginary deadphone see if HE cares CJ? Are you afraid he'll 'down ding' ya ? Or maybe you've decide he's just too crypto nazi to associate with.

CJ has a nice set of double standards over at LGF. He has several comments in there about how he has "flounced" hateful comments. Yet, CJ is not concerned when his friend Cato the Elder calls Sarah Palin a "slutty cheerleader" (comment #1111) and when called out for doing so claims that calling women such names is not misogynic "ecause calling women names - more especially, women who willingly enter the arena of public life - is not misogynistic." (Comment #1150).
Amazing.

And, of course, "Charlies's Harpies", medaura, the Albanian Nazi, Irish Rose, Sharmuta, Ice Weasel, etc., whom he used to help drive away conservative posters.

The pallid sunken eyes of Charles Johnson looked into the mirror. Looking back was something called an idiotarian, a mysterious being that only the keen mind of Charles was intellectually developed enought to consistently recognize. Sometimes they were on the right. Sometimes they were on the left and had pink tanks. You never knew. But Charles did.
The mirror's shocking disloyalty did not surprise Charles. He KNEW that the mirror was in fact a neo-nazi creationist who wanted to create a totalitarian theocracy and melt all the glaciers.
Charles wanted to fisk the mirror but it had no text to creatively interpret and respond to line by line.
"You leave me no choice my shiny betrayer" he growled. "You've beeen rash. You've down-dinged a bit more than you can chew this time. There'll be consequences."
Charles showed no emotional turmoil whatsoever as he delinked the mirror. Then he clamly flounced it and posted some pictures of a weathered wooden porch railing with the paint peeling off, and his bike. He linked to an article about the Amazon Kindle, added some security code to his blog to keep out the stalkers, removed his clothes, and slowly slid his stain-resistant Soft'n'fap(TM) microfiber fur glove on his right hand. It' was a bit sore but it still had the strength in it for one more task.
It was time for bed.
The end.

Is anyone really surprised by the fact that a guy who cancels the account of anyone who disagrees with him on his blog but still maintains a Plus/Minus rating system for his posts doesn't have any problems with the way East Anglia's CRU processed their temperature data?
Chuck, it's called hiding the decline.
Posted by: Walsingham at December 01, 2009 11:35 AM (dCigj)
CJ's posts are about as interesting as toenail clippings. The commenters over there are the ones who provide the entertainment as they are constantly jockeying to see who can be the biggest toady and kiss-ass. (The most mundane CJ observation gets 10 or 20 updings.) It's also mildly amusing to watch the serfs turn on each other.
But it gets old soon. When the whole Powerline/PJM delinking took place a few months ago, I read LGF with great interest for a few days (I was once a regular who got bored with the creationist and Geller posts) and then I realized the place was a total waste of time. I have no intention of ever going back, even for a look-see.
Chuck needs the hits and the attention. That's all this is about. But if he really wants to attract the Kos/HuffPo crowd, he'll need to go back in his archives and do some data "massaging." Pali car swarm and St. Pancake threads are the inconvienent truths of LGF. I think CJ is hoping the Kossacks will overlook them or are too witless to remember them.

he is gloating about 6k hits? Not even uniques? our lowly blog gets 2-2.5k a day and we're nowhere near as high-profile as lgf (although we do have NSFW stuff)
my god, how low does his daily hits per day go? Especially since he runs a fairly active community, meaning people refresh the page often to make and read comments, padding his hits.
lastly, big hit days are a mixed bag at best. They can run you bandwidth for the month out in one day, as many a recipient of an instalanche or drudge mention has found. I tried to pay my electric bill with pagehits (we have a fairly active forum) and they wouldn't take them.
When we broke the Bobby Calvan story we got 25k hits 3 days in a row, and I was certainly glad we were hosted on wordpress and not on our docweasel.com server!

Others have claimed to have seen him accidently post, very obviously as Charles, the owner of the site, forgetting to log off one of his alters (sockpuppets), then going back and hastily changing it when he realized his error. He also posts in the comments of other blogs as these "people", so he can keep up the fiction that he "never" posts in any comments threads. Someone as obsessively anal about any mention of himself seems unlikely to let a chance go by.
I've regged 3 different accounts over there with proxies, but I only use one regularly, I've had it since April of this year, so he hasn't identified it yet. I try to just be as close to the edge as possible, making ironic and questionably sarcastic comments that sometimes get me downdinged but so far not banned. The nutballs promoting "Global Warming" are making a dire mistake, because as the sham unravels (see historic temperatures, these latest leaked e-mails, etc) the public at large will decide environmentalists are just a bunch of alarmist liars and will ignore sound environmental concerns across the board.
If the "Global Warming" zealots want to fight for the environment, publish photos of polluted rivers, toxic waste dumps, etc, for which there is no rebuttal.

Almost spit my coffee on my monitor.
Priceless.
Charles has been irrelevant for a looooooooooong time now. For kicks, I checked out his blog a couple days ago. Same old shitty photography (oooooooooh a picture of a tanker - that's worth about 300 comments), same old global warming posts, same old painfully slow load times, same old Amazon pimping posts.
Here's Charles' idea of blogging:
"Obama just gave a speech tonight. Discuss"
(1200 comments are then dominated by a handful of faithful muppets)
"Obama to increase troops. Discuss"
(1200 comments are then dominated by a handful of faithful muppets)
"Obama is my homeboy. Discuss.
(1200 comments are then dominated by a handful of faithful muppets)
"Buy some shit from my Amazon link. Discuss"
(1200 comments are then dominated by a handful of faithful muppets)
What a joke.

There have been some other advances GHD Hairs since the early invention by Issac Shero and the addition of having straighteners that allow the user to straighten wet hair is one good example. Overall though the ceramic ones are the most common and remain the brain child of the early day inventors Replica watches and will be around for many more years to come.
The GHD Hair Straightener or some may call them hair tongs either way they have become the modern day must have hair accessory for women and now many men. The humble GHD Hairs Straightener some say can date right back to 1872 to a Parisian gentleman called Marcel Grateau. His early invention which was basically heat rods which were used with chemical lotions which were then added to the hair to straighten it. http://www.ghd-hairs-online.com/ghd-rare-styler-p-2.html£¡£¡£¡£¡Like many early day inventions there were many draw backs and many people would find their scalp and hair became damaged and in many cases burnt. The first registered hair iron patent was in 1906 by a chap called Simon Monroe, his invention was basic and in a different format. The hair tool he created consisted of metal teeth which the user would use to comb through the hair; these worked but would not be considered the same product as the GHD Straightener that are used today. £¡£¡£¡£¡The first real hair straightner design that could be considered would have to be in 1909 by Issac Shero, he patented and invented the first heated hair care tools. The first designs were basically hot metal plates that were used to slide through the hair, the products were a great improvement on the early day inventions and provided the user with a much reduced risk on damaging the hair. He then advanced the designs at a later date and introduced more advanced ones which included the ceramic straightener and electrical straighteners. Not only this, but he was also the first person to provide the user with the ability to adjust the heat settings and the sizes of the straightener. £¡£¡£¡£¡There are some Chinese herbs also which helps you to reduce the hair fall like psoralea seeds, mulberries and oyster. These herbs are also very effective and reduce the hair fall. Henna is also very effective herb for hairs. It is one of the oldest herb which helps to reduce the hair fall and it act as the conditioner to the hairs. Rosemary is also very good for hairs. Boil the rosemary with nettle, peach leafs, burdock and sage. And wash your hairs with this solution on regular basis, this will help you to reduce the hair fall and gives you healthy and strong hairs.£¡£¡£¡£¡Most of his design techniques are still used to this very day in the modern day hair salon or home and the reliance on his invention has become second nature to most people. The most common straightener today would be the ceramic ones with the heating elements. The technology remains the same, however has become more sophisticated. The ceramic ones became the chosen type for many for a number of reasons which include the fact that they are less damaging to the hair to use and the ceramic heating elements heat up quickly. http://www.nicewatchessell.com £¡£¡£¡£¡It was proven by the early models that using straighteners can be damaging for the hair if not used correctly or too much, this still applies today and the chances of getting split ends, or brittle and broken hair is increased. Unlike in the early days though there has been advancement in many of the hair tools to prevent this from happening. Products such heat protection sprays and creams will reduce the amount of damage caused by excessive use.
