Open Blog Holiday!
— Ace

Yeah, that's right, that thing I do like Tom Sawyer where I pretend I'm doing you some big favor by allowing you to paint the fence for me.

But obviously, like duh, I've been taking most weekends off for like, forever, so I'm going to be on the site sporadically.

That's where you come in!

I'm also thinking about forbidding the cobloggers from posting anything, because I think they sort of feel guilty or "on duty" when I'm not posting, and I don't want them posting just because I'm taking off.

As usual, I'll post like dumb stuff.

Have a couple of reviews I want to write. Want to see Sherlock Holmes and review that.

Just heard on the radio coming home from work that Jodi Rell, the Republican Governor of Connecticut, is asking (she can't order as he is a constitutional officer, elected independently) Richard Blumenthal, the Dem Attorney General to sue the federal government over the Nebraska Cornhusker bribe.

6 Oh, any Merry Christmas to, like, all you morons.  Although I'll be around during the holiday, since I'm not, like, accompanying Mr. D'oh to the in-laws from hell on Christmas.  My libtard (said lovingly) sis and I will be spending the day together watching funny movies, eating junk food, and generally trying not to be sad over our mom.

Ace, have a smashing Christmas! And if you get too bored, you can always come to, like, Savannah.  Valu-Rite punch for everyone!

I saw Avatar with my eight year old boy.  He declared it borning.  And this is a kid who loved Transformers.  When Michael Bay is kicking your ass, you have a problem.

Smurfahontas pretty much sums it up.  I can live with some Gaia propaganda, but it gets tiresome when Jimmy Cammeron beats you with it like you were a baby harp seal.  I read Gabe's review, saw the movie in 3d IMAX, and I got to tell you Gabe must have been really really high.  Avatar was not the worse movie I ever saw, it was actually okay, just not $17 okay (which was the IMAX price).

13 I wish I could hook you morons up to a "snore-o-meter" from my house.  You have no idea how sleepy I am, yet how loud Mr. D'oh is snoring right now.  Seriously.  I'm posting to stay awake until the noise subsides.

Happy happy merry merry Christmas!

15 When I say Avatar was "okay" it is because I spent the movie seeing if there was any nipples on those blue chicks' breasts (I did not see any, but I tried really really hard).  They all looked like they played for the U.S. Olympic woman's volleyball team.

19 I can't sleep.  I just had the most asstarded conversation with a chick who swears she's as conservative as Palin and then calls me a racist for being upset that my application to law school was denied while minorities who got a worse LSAT/academic score than me were accepted.  Says white people had it too good for too long and affirmative action helps right the wrongs of the past.

I have now subsequently lost my faith in conservative women, am considering gaydom and have Andrew Sullivan's number keyed in my cell phone.  Help meeeeee!

The Senate's healthcare bill is fatally flawed, a senior Democrat atop a powerful committee said on Wednesday.

Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.), the chairwoman of the House Rules Committee and co-chairwoman of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus, said that the Senate's bill is so flawed that it's unlikely to be resolved in conference with the bill to have passed the House.

"The Senate health care bill is not worthy of the historic vote that the House took a month ago," Slaughter wrote in an opinion piece for CNN's website.

Jimmy Carter apologizes to the Jews while Aulaqi, a US-born preacher, said he supported Hasan's terrorism at Ft.  Hood.

Those two met nine years ago at the Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Washington DC and began communicating after Aulaqi left the United States for Yemen. The first message was on the rules about a Muslim soldier who serves in the American army and kills his fellows. And in a group of his messages, Hasan explained his view on the killing of Israeli civilians, that both men supported. Aulaqi denied having suggested the attack on Fort Hood, but said he supported Hasan's actions, adding that Hasan was motivated by long-standing grievances against the tolerant US Military for providing his education and his professional medical training and career advancements.

64 When I it occurred to me that Harry Reid might be clinically deranged:

"This is a happy day. (Senate Republican Leader) Mitch McConnell said on the floor that we're going to go home and hear our constituents rail against this bill. I don't believe that. I believe that the negativity that Leader McConnell and others have continually displayed on the floor has peaked, and now when people learn what's actually in the bill—and all the good it does—it is going to become more and more popular because it is good for America, good for the American people, and a true symbol of what we can do if we all pull together," said Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer.

On the floor before the vote, Majority Leader Harry Reid said, "We're going to hear an earful, but it's going to be an earful of wonderment and happiness that people waited for for a long time."

68 There are some shops that offer alterations and repair if the one you have chosen does not fit perfectly well for you. In most department stores, there is Sexy Lingerie but they do not cater to ones personal needs because they have pre-made items. It is up to you if it will fit your or not.
