The Tyranny of Fecundity
— Gabriel Malor

How out of touch is the Far Left? A "progressive" advocacy group has selected a winner in its contest to find the best pro-government option art:

I started writing about the sloppy thinking that would lead them to choose this particular quote (reading comprehension, much?), their evident ignorance that it is misattributed to Thomas Jefferson (musta been in his Stuff Jefferson Said After Henry St John, 1st Viscount Bolingbroke Said It First, 3rd Leatherbound Edition), and the horrifying image of Washington persistently redistributing the vitality of the United States.

But you know what? The thing speaks for itself.

89 I don't know why people keep saying that Senate Democrats' healthcare reform is dead. It's still being argued over. It looks like Lieberman is on board because they dropped the public option and the medicare buy-in.  It looks like Nelson is considering compromising on abortion language.  The new sticking point is Sanders who says he won't vote for it unless it has a public option, but I bet he'll cave.

Only Sanders' single-payer amendment is dead. That's what's dead. Not Obamacare, Reidcare, or Pelosicare. And nobody, not even Sanders, expected the single-payer amendment to pass.

It's hard to find such an eloquent depiction of how the left views the country; yes, it's a pretty decent piece of design, but (as I said in my own post on the picture), I'd rather see D.C. as the appendix, not the heart.  I can guarantee that most folks do not want to see Washington as the center of the country with the kind of life-or-death power of the heart; that's not how federalism works.

I mean, Holy shit.

Red star? "Collective body?" Lysenkoish "politics drives health" meme? Lies about who said what?

Let's just remind everybody that we're still fighting a war against communist despoilers, its just that they're our neighbors now.

Next will be Che quotes ascribed to Washington, hammer and sickle motifs instead of stars on the US flag, and "Obama's Little Black Book."

Man, I sure woke up in bizarro world at some point.

112 Wow, this was really the best design they had, apparently. 2nd place just plain sucks, but 3rd is creepier than hell. The heavy use of O's symbolism gives me the willies. That damn logo gets plastered over everything.
