Well folks, it seems that the scam artists pushing the AGW fraud are not the only ones trying to hide their fraudulent and criminal activities from the public and investigators.

ACORN also is engaged in data dumping to hide criminal activity

Barry's economic boom is just booming along

WASHINGTON – The economy grew at a 2.8 percent pace last quarter, as the recovery got off to a slower start than first thought.

The Commerce Department's new reading on gross domestic product wasn't as energetic as the 3.5 percent growth rate for the July-September period estimated just a month ago.

Much of the economy's return to growth last quarter reflected federal support for spending on homes and cars.

But Tuesday's report shows that some of that spending was a bit less robust than initially thought.

Unemployment continues to rise. GDP is revised down but MiniTrue continues to refer to this as a recovery. I'd hate to think how bad it would be if we were still in a recession.

7 Something to ponder:

• 3 years ago, Chinese calendar year of the cow . . . Mad Cow disease.

• 2 years ago, Chinese calendar year of the bird . . . Avian flu.

• This year, Chinese calendar year of the pig . . . Swine flu.

Next year is the year of the cock . . . Anybody else worried?

Yes, I made the mistake of switching over to the news to catch the update and saw his ugly face. Immediately turned it off.  Maybe if everybody in the country started doing that they would get him off TV.

17 BO to send 34k troops to Afpak with off ramps in the war of neccessity per Ed at HotAir.

It'll be interesting to see what McChrystal's objectives are given the influx of troops and the "off ramps" that Obama is demanding. If the "off ramps" include timetables (political or military) of a year or less, we might as well forget it and come home now. But that may be Obama's game: set absurdly overambitious objectives, blame McChrystal and Karzai when they are not met, and then bug out at the earliest opportunity.

The funding debate ought to be fun to watch, though. The Donks will scream about the expense of sending an additional 35-40K of troops to the theater, but that's really just a sideshow -- what they're really pissed off about is that Obama is still making war. His base worked hard to ignore all the stuff he's said over the years about Afghanistan being the "necessary war". They convinced themselves that he would abandon the effort upon reaching office, and while this may indeed be his inclination, he boxed himself in with his martial rhetoric during the campaign. If he bugs out of Afghanistan now, the 2010 electoral bloodbath for the Donks will be grim indeed: they might even lose control over both houses of Congress. (To say nothing of the real-world geopolitical fallout of throwing Afghanistan to the wolves.)

Since LBJ's travails in Vietnam, Democrats have become allergic to expeditionary military intervention. Seeing Clinton getting humbled by Somali warlords only reinforced their distaste for overseas military adventurism. They would much rather debate domestic policy and socio-cultural matters; international politics frightens and unmans them.

To the Democrats, Afghanistan has morphed from being a "necessary war" into being simply an unpleasant side-task, like cleaning the toilet before company comes over. They don't want to do it (in fact they hate it), but their guests expect it of them.

Yep. People who really want to win don't use language like "off ramps" and "open ended commitments". Commanders who use language like that are looking for a way out.

It's sort of the war-making equivalent of "I love you, but I'm not in love with you."

What a lovely little recession we have!

The recession has hit Terry Zimmerman hard. He is out of work, on the verge of being homeless and barely has money for food.

But the 47-year-old Army veteran from Sacramento still has something to be thankful for.

"My health," says the software programmer.

Just shy of Thanksgiving Day, dozens of msnbc.com readers say they have found unexpected and uplifting turns during the struggling economy's darkest moments and rediscovered what they previously dismissed or took for granted: Family, friends and faith.

"We had it all and we lost it all," says Lucia Del Barto of Mesa, Ariz., a mom of six who decided to go to college after losing her home and three cars.

"If it weren't for the economy going so bad, I would still be blowing money left and right and not even trying to better myself with an education," Del Barto says. "I am grateful because of the recession. The recession gave me a new opportunity, hope and purpose."

Thank you lord Obama and your double digit unemployment!!! Imagine this story being run during a Republican administration. Neither can I.

Obama mistakenly leaves human rights event early, returns to his seat with laughter

Monday night, Obama mistakenly left a White House ceremony honouring two activists' work in Zimbabwe. After finishing his remarks in the East Room, he walked with first lady Michelle Obama into the grand hallway across the main floor of the Executive Mansion. He returned a moment later, a bit sheepishly.

He said with a laugh, "I'm allowed to stay." Then he added, "I never know what I'm allowed to do."

This is rich: (Climate change teacher on my FB) We're all familiar with people bending the truth for their cause -- these guys did something really wrong and it sucks, but it doesn't refute the whole body of research. It doesn't for example, make it so the stuff shown here http://www.extremeicesurvey.org/ isn't happening. This has some similarities to the forged George W. Bush memos about the National Guard. OK, my two morning gripes after reading the comments

1. I am sick to death of hearing about how happy and wonderful everyone feels during this recession and all the miracles the recession is bringing in people's lives. Fuck that, if those idiots quoted actually believe the shit they are shoveling then they totally deserve whatever bad luck life dumps on them.

2. I am also sick to death of Obama's "I'm never quite sure what to do" schtick. Look, idiot, you have a fricking staff that is supposed to be telling you what to do and when to do it. It is exceedingly unpresidential looking to be seen doing the wrong thing time and time again. Man up asshole, you are the President of the United States now, act like it.

"Denver arrests may be part of trend of gangs videotaping attacks"

Racial attacks like the ones behind the arrest of 32 suspects in Denver are part of a trend spreading across the country, gang experts said Saturday.

As part of the trend, black gang members videotape the assaults in trendy tourist districts and sell them on the underground market as entertainment.

"They knock a young white guy out with one blow to see if his knees will wobble and surround them and take their money," said the Rev. Leon Kelly, who runs a Denver gang-prevention program.
