I wouldn't be counting those chickens just yet. IF the media "forgets" his transgressions the public certainly will.
Hell, Fox is not even reporting on this BS about him pardoning the criminal.

They also said police saw him go in the house as they had it staked out. They have fired tear gas into the house and they expect something to break soon.

SAN FRANCISCO/CHICAGO, Nov 29 (Reuters) - U.S. consumers
spent significantly less per person at the start of the holiday season this weekend, dimming hopes for a retail comeback that would help propel the economy early in 2010.
The lackluster spending could pressure retail stocks on Monday as some investors were looking for a stronger showing compared with a year earlier, when consumers were being hammered by the recession and credit crunch.
This can't be right. Barry saved or created the economy! He saved or created 15 trillion new jobs! We all have hope and change!

From the Seattle Times, good news!
"Police know that Clemmons was wounded because they have detained other people — Troyer wouldn't say how many — who helped Clemmons after the shootings"
Yeah and those assholes who helped him? How you think that's going for them?
Clemmon must be dead by now. If he was hit with a 40 cal hydro shock bullet, wouldn't be much leg left.

Idiots. People are losing jobs or getting hours cut. Prices on everything are going up. People are worried about the future (except the big-screen Wal Mart crowd) and are not going to spend as much this year. They're not going to buy MP3 players when they're worried about buying groceries!
I saw a CNN news segment while at the gym on Saturday saying that Americans spent more this year than last.
Could they be *gasp* lying?

About the hydro shock. Jacked hollow points don't always expand. I forget the percentage but I think it was around 30% due to a number of factors include what material(clothing) the bullet passes through. Still .40 is a pretty effective round even if it doesn't expand.
Posted by: RobD at November 30, 2009 06:26 AM (sV3Dv)
I can believe that, but only because the dollar is worth so much less than last year.
(I'm not buying anything for anyone over the age of 5.)

I thought we're in a recovery?
WASHINGTON – With the foreclosure crisis showing no signs of relenting, the Obama administration plans to expand a program aimed at helping people remain in their homes.
And Barry's plan: Let's not get the economy moving again. Let's have the government meddle even more.
The goal of the announcement, expected Monday, is to increase the rate at which troubled home loans are converted into new loans with lower monthly payments, Treasury spokeswoman Meg Reilly said over the weekend.
Industry officials said the new effort would include increased pressure on mortgage companies to accelerate loan modifications by highlighting firms that are lagging in that area.
Treasury's program, known as the Home Affordable Modification Program, "is targeted at the housing crisis as it existed six months ago, rather than as it exists right now," the report said.
Treasury's Reilly said the expanded program would, among other steps, make more aid available to struggling borrowers and expand the number of organizations providing help.

So let me get this straight, their great idea to get them to redo mortgages is to tattle on them? This Obama guy really is a child.

Fox really gets some "winners" for the conservative side on these debates.

“We don’t feel we have a need for that anymore.” Rogers’s explanation, according to Hargraves: “In these economic times, I don’t think we’re going to have very many lavish expensive dinners. It wouldn’t look very good.”
Rogers got that right.
Apparently that doesn't include Barry and Michelle's date nights.

Did you see the headline on Drudge this weekend where a judge in NY ordered a bank to close out its loan to a couple while calling them names.
Basically he ordered that the outstanding loan be totally forgiven based on really nothing.
I guess contracts are no longer worth a shit in court. This is the new law in the U.S. since the liberals have taken over the courts.

Black Friday appears to have held the line with 2008, but nothing more. This means that more people are buying cheaper stuff, or that lots of people simply stayed home this year. End-of-year numbers from Wal Mart and Target should be interesting.
The economy has stopped shrinking, but that doesn't mean it's expanding again. Any year-over-year growth rate of less than 5% or so is essentially the same as maintaining the status quo (i.e., bleeding, but not yet dead). Past recessions since World War II have generally been followed by a sharp uptick in economic activity in the following quarters -- but this recession promises to follow a much longer and shallower path upwards.
Unemployment is likely to remain above 7% indefiinitely, barring some major technological or economic breakthrough; that means that a lot of the jobs lost are gone for good. Employers are not going to staff up until the implications of legislation like the health-care bill and cap-and-trade are settled. (This "jobs summit" is going to be a huge waste of time, and is mainly window-dressing for Obama to show how "concerned" he is.)
The job market is going to be very tough for the next three to five years, I think.

This is the one occasion I might consider abortion.........well no, they'll just not be able to bump nasties and produce another liberal democrat in the mold of Sir Edmund Hillary Rodham Clinton and her tag-a-long dick Bill "The Molester."

"Perhaps 320,000 people will buy the print version of the Guardian today. Perhaps a million will dip in online during the day and read between two and 20,000 newsprint words, even including a few of these. Extrapolating October's audited totals, there are 13.2 million UK-based terminal clickers who may come calling online. But there are also another 18.4 million monthly clickers somewhere overseas – and around half of them will be Americans from Anchorage to Atlanta. Which makes a difference when you write, and when you edit. Let's call it the Sarah Palin difference."

Heather, you've got Momma's news fu going on. Thanks for the linky. I've heard Daniels's name bandied about, but never knew much about him. Unless he's just playing coy about wanting higher office, it sounds like another example of the world of cut-throat politics discouraging the best people to run.

When I saw this story begin on FOX, I thought "here we go again," but the report went on to say that the judge "punished" the bank because the homeowners had been reliable payors for years, lost jobs and tried everything to get the bank to even talk with them about making some sort of financial adjustment. Apparently the lending institution took bailout money and gives a big "F.U." to customers trying to contact them.
Not saying what the judge did was right, but after hearing about the bank's attitude, I couldn't get too worked up about it.

I was starting to get the idea she played for the other team.

I looked further into the story. The guy was initially OK on his loan but at the height of the bubble he refinanced the house on an "interest only" loan in order to finance his new business. And like most new small buisnesses, it went bankrupt. He quit even making the interest payments and was way behind.
There is not a lot of "restructuring" you can do to an "interest only" loan when you re not making ANY payments on the interest. All I saw in the Fox article was hyperbole from the judge, and little on actual facts that warranted voiding the contract.
One thing to keep in mind about Fox on-line. Night shift and weekends are dominated by the liberal editors. They make no effort to clean up AP.
