the media in Boston is trying to paint Kennedy, the 3rd party buffoon independent candidate, as a rightie.

Kennedy calls himself a libertarian, but votes for Democrats...and supports Ron Paul.

the news blurbs on the local radio are so biased in Massachusetts. When they're not repeating White House talking points they're making shit up.

Today the guy giving a brief recap of the 3-way debate lastnight said, "Kennedy attacked Brown from the right."

In the spirit of our poetry festival yesterday. With no apologies whatsoever to Country Joe MacDonald:

Well, come on all of you, weak and sick,
Obamacare's gonna do the trick.
We've got ourselves one hell of a plan
From Harry Reid and San Fran Nan
So get out your checkbooks, pass the bill,
And take that little blue pill.

And it's one, two, three,
What are we votin' for?
Don't ask 'em, they don't give a damn,
They didn't read their own Health Care Plan;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
When history calls, don't wonder why--
Whoopee! We have a right to die.

Well, come on Marxists, let's move fast;
Your big chance has come at last.
Let's all go out and get those rich
And strip 'em down to their last stitch
They'll pay the bills for you and me
And we'll all get sick for free!

And it's one, two, three,
What are we votin' for?
Don't ask 'em, they don't give a damn,
They didn't read their own Health Care Plan;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
When history calls, don't wonder why--
Whoopee! We have a right to die.

Now come on Big Pharma, don't be slow,
Why man, this plan is set to go
There's lots of good money to be made
Just give 'em campaign bucks to trade,
But hope and pray that when they're through,
They don't come after you.

And it's one, two, three,
What are we votin' for?
Don't ask 'em, they don't give a damn,
They didn't read their own Health Care Plan;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
When history calls, don't wonder why--
Whoopee! We have a right to die.

Well come on children, left and right
And send your folks into the light.
Sons and daughters, don't hesitate
To schedule Pops for that final date.
You can be the first kid on your block
To have Grandma put in a box.

And it's one, two, three,
What are we votin' for?
Don't ask 'em, they don't give a damn,
They didn't read their own Health Care Plan;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
When Obama speaks, it'll all be swell--
Ask Rahm Emmanuel!

FTFY

You can't believe a single thing ANY of the news things say or show. We let the news pick our candidates for us last election and look what that got us.

It is well to watch the news so you can tell which lies they are currently spreading in order to combat them with commentary in their own journals.

14 If you're out fighting a war, don't get pregnant. Women serving active duty in the military should arbitrarily take measures that prevent pregnancy. If they want to get pregnant, first apply for and wait for a sabbatical year or two off to serve in strictly a supportive role before returning. Sloppy behavioral patterns, including accidentally getting pregnant, are not laudable, and the military community should not be forced to tolerate and suffer from PC incompetence.

How does Chavez get away with it?

Well, here's my theory: His leftist government creates misery and poverty. Then he tells his peasants the 'capitalists' are to blame for their woes. Then Chavez says not to worry, he'll rescue them with socialism!

i can see where pregnant women in combat areas would be a problem.  there is an almost instinctive chivalry towards pregnant women--soldiers may be more apt to protect a pregnant woman (& she her unborn baby), than protecting themselves or whatever else they are supposed to be doing.

and no one is suggesting these women get an abortion--the general wants them gone from the field of combat.  I think its good policy.

did you hear the General give his opinion on this?  it was un-PC & very refreshing.

Bambi doesn't have the authority to issue such an executive order, on top of that Interpol should not be allowed to operate in the U.S. period.

How sure are we that such an order has been signed?

One for a police officer that was also an Air Force Reservist killed by an improvised explosive device in the Helmand Province.

After a little research I find that the real problem lies with the International Organizations Immunities Act which was passed in 1945.  That act gives the authority for foreign organizations to act with impunity in the U.S.

We should push to have it repealed when Republicans are in office.

You can't believe a single thing ANY of the news things say or show. We let the news pick our candidates for us last election and look what that got us.

Along with that sentiment, the news agencies aren't simply biased, they're incompetent.  What they don't spin, they will frequently just get wrong.  At the telecom place I work, we have a TV in the breakroom.  A coworker was watching the report on the Blackberry outage last night, and was yelling at the TV over all the technical inaccuracies being committed (Not just minor stuff, either -- their report states that Blackberry was at fault, and apparently it's a carrier issue, not a Blackberry issue, that's causing the problem).  It can be quite eye-opening to listen to a news report concerning something you actually know about.

Posted by: Cautiously Pessimistic at December 23, 2009 05:14 AM (pZEar)

42 BTW, a reading of the act shows that it is blatantly unconstitutional.

46 Hmmm, so I wonder what happens when some "judge" in Brussels decides to issue a warrant for Cheney for "war crimes" and Interpol storms his house and carts him off to Europe? Or, what about that happening to Ace, because some euro-bureaucrat thinks he's guilty of posting "hate speech"? Or better yet, what if it happens to some complete unknown, for whatever reason?

It can be quite eye-opening to listen to a news report concerning something you actually know about.

I once read a vignette where an ichtyoligist was giving a lab-tour to a reporter, who kept asking questions like "How do fish sleep without eyelids?" The reporter finally asked what it was like for the fish to live in tanks, and the scientist replied, "It's like reading a science article written by a journalism major."

Pity those who know so little that they think they know everything, unless they're in charge of telling us about it.

You suckers can worry all you want about whether or not there will be job growth. I'm set. I just sent my bank account # to a Nigerian prince who is going to give me millions for helping him get his fortune out of the country. Apparently he's being persecuted, or something.

As a good faith measure, he also asked for my credit card #'s so he could pay them off for me. Gotta go..he's being really insistent about getting those numbers.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) – The Taliban blew up a girls' school in Pakistan's Khyber district, where troops are fighting against militants in the tribal region bordering Afghanistan, an official said Wednesday.

Militants detonated explosives overnight at the government-run school in Bazgarah town, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of Peshawar, capital of the violence-plagued North West Frontier Province.

"The building had 21 rooms. All have been completely demolished," local administration chief Shafeerullah Wazir told AFP by telephone.

There were no casualties because the property was empty at the time.

Greetings Comrad!  Thank you for shopping at Comerso. The line for toilet paper is in aisle five.

91 You know what would get DCs attention? A red state Governor or two calling up the state militia for some drills. I think half the libtard heads in the country would explode if they were to see a few thousand or hundred thousand militia men formed up with there own personal firearms marching around.

Remember when Katrina destroyed New Orleans because the evil BOOOOSH had all the National Guard deployed on an illegal war?

I'm surprized that Barry didn't come up with first:

President Hugo Chavez on Tuesday announced a new chain of government-run, cut-rate retail stores that will sell everything from food to cars to clothing from places such as China, Argentina and Bolivia.

"We're creating Comerso, meaning Socialist Corporation of Markets," Chavez said at the opening of a "socialist" fast-food location for traditional Venezuelan arepas (cornbread).

"They'll see what's good. We'll show them what a real market is all about, not those speculative, money-grubbing markets, but a market for the people," said Chavez in his drive to change Venezuela from a market-based economy to a socialist one.

"We're going to challenge all that junk food that just fattens people up," he added referring to the arepa stand he opened to the public.

I know right. That was back in the day when wars were waged to steal oil and kill random civilians. Good times, good times.

I would hope a wise latina with all the richness of her experiences would come to a wiser decision than a white male. Just throwing that out there for you to chew on.

Actually, a wise Latino did.  Cardozo was on that case.  But he was a Jooo, like his Jooo friend Louis Brandeis, who told FDR to jam it up his ass.  But I think he said it in Yiddish.

WASHINGTON – Sales of new homes plunged unexpectedly last month to the lowest level since April, a sign the housing market recovery will be rocky.

Really? I thought that the economy was in a robust recovery thanks to Barry. And once again it's unexpected and even though it's another downturn Minitrue still has to mention that it's part of a recovery.

106 Richard and Mayumi Heene face jail time and could be forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars in restitution after the 15 Oct. stunt, which riveted the nation with reports that their 6-year-old son may have been aboard a runaway balloon.

But Bob Heffernan, lead investigator for the Larimer County, Colo., Sheriff's Office, said jail is not enough...

.. to assuage the embarassment and humiliation caused to the Sheriff's office, for falling for the harmless prank. It's not nice to make the Sheriff's officers run around like a bunch of buffoons.

I added that last part

108 How come every economic disaster with this 6 foot tall turd in the White House is "unexpected"??? We saw it coming a year before the election, even. Next thing you'll know, they'll be telling that doctor shortages and incredible waiting lines for healthcare were "unexpected," too.

Personally, I'm voting for neoneocon.

Amusingly enough, Ann Althouse is one of the nominees.  I think voting for Obama disqualifies someone for consideration as 'conservative'... unless there's a special award for people with brain damage.

Absolutely no mention of the attackers race in the report but the kid is white in what looks to be a predominantly minority school. Are we supposed to believe there was no racial aspect to this story? If this had been a black victim wouldn't a racial aspect have been the first thing mentioned?

Are you still worrying about your child's sleeping problems?

Are you still nervous about which kind of fairy tales you should tell to your child at night?

Are you still vexed how to  stimulate your child's imagination?

Are you still feel at a loss when  your child ask for stars?

Give your child a Twilight Turtle, give your child a starry sky.

Then all the problems will be solved.

Look at this lovely turtle,it is a toy in daytime and it is the maker for the starry sky at night.

The shell of the turtle is made from plastic and the luminous shell can reflect its light on the wall or in the ceil and give your child a starry sky.

The starry sky has eight constellations such as  Big Dipper and so on.

You can tell the story of constellations to your child too.

The starry sky will give your child a sense of wonderment and calm and help your child to fall into sleep soon.

Do not hesitate just bring the starry sky home and it will be the best present to your child.

Do not hesitate just bring the Twilight Turtle home and let it be one of the best friends of  your child.
