10 Napolitano was on Fox and Friends this morning,  and got a good grilling from Brian Kilmeade and Peter Johnson, Jr.  She must be in trouble if she's even appearing on Fox.

Oh, and to encourage us and make us have confidence, Obama is going to speak to us today!  I make note that it wasn't his first or second impulse, but only THREE days after the terrorist attack on the plane, and after he tried sending out Napolitano, Gibbs, and Axelrod, and after reporters FINALLY started asking how come he didn't have a response.

Re sidebar item: Game Over? German physicists point out Global Warming mechanisms via greenhouse gases violate 1st and 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. "Ye canna change the laws of physics, Captain!" - Scotty.[ArthurK]

All should read this item as it is very interesting. I had a 3.97 average in thermo and I did not pick up on this. Probably because I did not know that the AGW crooks were trying to prove that heat transferred from the atmosphere to the ground.

Napolitano was on Fox and Friends this morning,  and got a good grilling from Brian Kilmeade and Peter Johnson, Jr.  She must be in trouble if she's even appearing on Fox.

I read that article from yesterday about her spouting off on how “the system worked”.  I can not believe she is actually that stupid.  Beck should be very interesting today.

She should just shut up and lay low for the next couple of days but she is too stupid to do that.

19 #6, I was given the book as, like a two year-old, or something; and later discovered in the late seventies in French class (after taking Spanish first, in 7th Grade) that it was a movie.

SO yes, I remember it.  And I was disappointed that it was a film first, and not first some ultra-odd book of depressing gray images of Paris.

What relevance this morning?  Was it on tv?  Are you taking French?

Yahoo headline "Napolitano concedes airline security system failed", her defense for saying that it worked yesterday? Why bother asking, the Democrat get out of jail card, aka "taken out of context".

"WASHINGTON – Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano conceded Monday that the aviation security system failed when a young man on a watchlist with a U.S. visa in his pocket and a powerful explosive hidden on his body was allowed to board a fight from Amsterdam to Detroit.

The Obama administration has ordered investigations into the two areas of aviation security — how travelers are placed on watch lists and how passengers are screened — as critics questioned how the 23-year-old Nigerian man charged in the airliner attack was allowed to board the Dec. 25 flight.

A day after saying the system worked, Napolitano backtracked, saying her words had been taken out of context.

"Our system did not work in this instance," she said on NBC's "Today" show. "No one is happy or satisfied with that. An extensive review is under way."

Bruno is the worst kind of bureaucrat in the worst possible position for someone like that to occupy.  She honestly believes that "the system worked" because the policy/procedure manual was followed to the T only after 300 people were almost smashed into hamburger by a jihadi.

That's hilarious. How the fuck do you say one day something worked, and the next it didn't, and then contend it was out of context?

Dan Snyder Sunday before the game "Jim Zorn's offensive gameplan is working."

Dan Snyder Sunday night after the game "Jim Zorn's offensive system is a failure. I was taken out of context before the game."

More evidence of how stupid she is.  The “taken out of contest” meme has been made a laughing stock and she still uses it.

29 Dang Straights she is now saying the system failed and her words to the effect that the system works were "taken out of context". This administration literally thinks the American people are mentally retarded.

36 ParisParamus:   I am wondering if that column in the Washington Post by Bill Daley on Christmas Eve was the signal to dump Obama.

Reporters are not going to attack him unless someone tells them it's ok to do so,  and Daley,  who can't be accused of being a disloyal democrat, pretty much said "Abandon ship."

I see that.  Twinkletoes and gibbsy must have come up with the "taken out of context" meme.  It has all the signs of the sooper genius, no way she came up with that one herself.

38 Napolitano was on Fox and Friends this morning,

I saw her on the CBS Early Show this morning.  She managed to work in variations of "these procedures have been in place for several years" at least three times.  As she was starting the interview, I said to my wife, "It's Bush's fault."  The first time she gave that line, my wife started laughing.

To Harry Smith's credit, he did ask good questions.  However, he let her evade answering the tough ones.

Funny how everyone is taken out of context except Republicans. You can make up any context you want about them.

Wishing a Democrat doesn't show up to vote during a snowstorm so they can't pass a hugely unpopular bill noone wants=Wishing for Robert Byrd to die. Also see DeLay, Tom.

40 Embodiment.  Typo City.

Is Obama still in Hawaii?  I know he's (supposedly) from there, but Hawaii is still, what, like further away than Europe?  Seven or eight hours away?  What serious executive would spend days away there?  Yeah, "he can do everything from anywhere," but no he can't.

B+?  C+?

43 ParisParamus: i discovered it (that the creator of "The Red Balloon" invented Risk!) fooling around on wikipedia last night, looking up something else which led to some other thing, etc. i prefer card catalogues to computers in libraries for that reason. isn't it amazing? now there's a fellow who made a real contribution to the world. i saw the movie first and remember being very moved by it. again, for everyone out there, do see it or get it for your kids. this being a political site, you may be motivated to know that a Washington Post critic denounced this gentlest of films as a subversive capitalist/christian parable. which i did not know.

What's the surprise? It took him, what? five days to say anything about the U.S. Army recruiter shootings and murder. He had an answer about the pissed-off black professor the same day it happened and before any real facts in the case had been reported/uncovered.

...is it just the plane aspect of this that makes the MSM get some pseudo-sense, or has Obama really jumped the shark?
This is too hard to coverup (see the initial firecracker misreports leading to Kos shit about "just Nigerian Christians celebrating Christmas" meme attempt) because everyone is going to have their asses searched from now on without any sensible religious/ethnic profiling.
