Re sidebar item: Celebretardation. A mind is a terrible thing to never have had. Ex.: Tori Amos. [krak]

This quote says it all:

She says, "If Palin runs again, I'm going to run on a Republican ticket. What I know about Middle Eastern policy could fit on a thumbnail, but I still know more than she does. You have to ask, how could a nation nearly vote in somebody who isn't qualified for the job?"

But Amos feels more positive about the future of her country now U.S. President Barack Obama is in power

Yes, how could they vote in someone with no qualifications Tori?

I am continually amazed at the abject stupidity of the idiots in Hollywood.

 There was a story in the local Democrap PR rag (The State – Columbia, SC) about how the evil Jim DeMint was blocking the appointment of Il DoucheÂ’s pick for head of the TSA with the implication that the terrorist maybe would not have slipped through if the appointment had been allowed to go through.  These assholes have no sham.

Note that he is blocking the appointment because the pick is in favor of allowing the TSA to unionize (no surprise there from Obamabi).

Obama with his resume couldn't have applied at my job to be honest.

He would not have been allowed to work where I did either and not just on the score of qualifications;

First he would not have been able to pass the drug screening and second he probably would not have passed the security screening. In fact, if he had not been elected he probably could not get a security clearance with the feds.

Ah look the ABC journalist in charge of financial and business news is getting married to someone at the White House. No bias here no sir. I am sure that affected their coverage of the subprime loan mess not one freakin bit.

"Golodryga and Orszag probably have a lot to talk about. She reports on business and financial issues for ABC News and, according to her bio, has covered the housing and credit crisis as well as the collapse of Bear Stearns."

Did you see F&F this morning?  They reported on a story that Fanny and Freddie were seeking an "unlimited" revolving credit call from the government for this year.

According to the "guest" this was so the governmment coiuld bailout massive numbers of folks who were defaulting on their mortgages or who were "underwater".

This is the shit that really pisses me off. Perhaps I should go buy a $11,000,000 house down on Rainbow Row in Charleston and then get the government to bail me out.  I am sick of my taxes going to pay for deadbeat scum who made stupid loans.

Especially since I must file my 4th quarter tax payment today or tommorrow.

9 Interview early this morning with the couple who saw the Indian (Pakistani, maybe) man with the bomber on the Detroit plane, on Fox.

1.  The husband was adamant that he saw this Indian guy.
2.  The FBI did question them.
3.  Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought in to go over everyone's luggage.  One passenger,  a man, had luggage which set the dogs off.  He was taken into another room for questioning, and 45 minutes later he was brought out,  cuffed, and taken away.
4.  After this man was taken away,  an FBI guy came in and said, "We are moving you all to another area because this one isn't safe.  You all are smart people,   so read between the lines as to what this means."

I am reporting,  to the best of my ability,  what was said on Fox this morning.

10 #8  Vic,  did you also hear that the bonuses for Fannie and Freddie CEO's was going to NOT be in stock,  but in cash (unlike what the pay czar forced banks to do..stock bonuses only)?

One guy said this is because both Fannie and Freddie were going to lose money through the next 12 months.

One guy said this is because both Fannie and Freddie were going to lose money through the next 12 months.

Yeah I saw that and I thought to myself the real reason.  Fany and Freddie have always been run by Democrats since the creation of the agency.  Look at the revolving door between the Democrat Whitehouses and Fanny and Freddie.  Even when caught in outright fraud they arfe excused and the Republicans let them get away with this.

@8

I feel your pain.  Mrs. Nighthawk and I bought a small, simple house that we can afford.  We are "above water"- the house is worth more than we owe on it.  We pay our mortgage, on time, every... stinking... month.

There is a LOT of things we would rather do with that money (Little Nighthawk's tuition comes to mind).

So where's OUR bail-out?

When's Obama going to open up his stash for US?

OK, enough of that- truth be told we wouldn't take his stinking stash cash even if he was willing to give it to the likes of us.

That attitude used to make us patriotic Americans.  Now it just insures us a place in the new permanent underclass.

Barry might interrupt his golf game to take care of this for Vlad

(AP)  MOSCOW (AP) - Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Tuesday urged Washington to provide Moscow with data about U.S. missile defense developments as part of an information exchange under a new arms treaty.

Putin said that Russia is ready to provide the U.S. with some data about its new missiles, but wants the U.S. to share information about its missile defense plans in return.
Obama removed a major irritant in relations earlier this year by scrapping the previous administration's plans to place interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar in the Czech Republic - deployments Russia treated as a threat.

The Kremlin has praised Obama for the decision, but Russian officials have also said they want to know details about what system the U.S. will put in place instead.

Be a good little comrade Barry and tell the Kremlin what it wants to know.

Poor widdle Barry being president is soooooo tiring.

WASHINGTON – After a sleepless, overnight flight to Oslo to accept the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this month, President Barack Obama made a not altogether surprising admission. He was tired.

Who could blame him?

On Monday, Obama worked out in the morning and played tennis before making his first public remarks on airline security, then hit the golf course.

So much for putting aside the stress of work. Obama himself has been candid about the pressures of being president during what he has called an "extraordinary year."

Play tennis, make a statement, play golf. What an exhaustive schedule!! If it's too much for frail Barry he can always step down.

Credit to nice Deb's Interpol article;

Obama is not a good man to whom bad things are happening. He is a bad man, doing bad things to our country, and doing them in the most underhanded and deceitful way imaginable. He isnÂ’t a swell but naive guy whoÂ’s been hoodwinked by the bad people heÂ’s surrounded himself with his entire life; he is one of them, through and through.

 Obama is Jones is Ayers is Dorn is Wright is Holdren is the whole psych-ward circus of cracked, left-wing-revolutionary clowns. He may present a pretty face, a pleasant smile, and a courtly manner when he wishes to, but underneath the mask heÂ’s all authoritarian degeneracy and collectivist rot. Based on what weÂ’ve seen and heard from him, there is simply no other conclusion to be reached; anything else is just wishful thinking and/or misguided courtesy.

And more than that -- he thinks that crowd keeps him around because of his merits, accomplishments and talents, when in fact it's only his "pretty face, pleasant smile and ... courtly manner" that makes him worth their while. The moment he ceases to be useful, he's going to be thrown away like an old sponge. On that count, I feel sorry for him, but only because it pains me to see one of God's creatures so willfully blind himself that he thinks he's blazing a trail instead of walking into walls.
