...artificially introduced defects in nanotubes can aid the development of supercapacitors.Light weight, high power density == eco-friendly electric flying cars“While batteries have large storage capacity, they take a long time to charge; while electrostatic capacitors can charge quickly but typically have limited capacity. However, supercapacitors/electrochemical capacitors incorporate the advantages of both,” Bandaru said...
As an aside, we've been working on some laser fab stuff that could be used to introduce these "defects" in a very controlled manner. Nano tubes aren't our main thrust, but the nano-scale laser processing tech we've been developing has many applications.

Electric flying cars?
That does sound cool ala The Jettsons or even the flying Delorian in Back to the Future, but there are lots of idiots that can't drive in 2 dimensions properly, not to mention what added strain an additional dimension will cause them.

That's precisely the sort of thing our laser-tech can accomplish. We've become pretty adept at infusing lattice structures with selected contaminant atoms at controllable concentrations.

for some reason I felt compelled to point that out
Buckyballs, on the other hand, make outstanding beard stubble for those of your going for the Don Johnson look.

How will this make my penis bigger?
It won't, we're just attaching positive contextual associations to the word "nanotube".
Like now it's a good, cool thing to have.
So buck up, Bobby. You might not be able to satisfy a woman but you'll be able to store a charge of up to 40 gigawatts in your flux capacitor.
I'm talking about his penis.
Nanotube. Flux capacitor.
It's his penis.
In case you didn't get that.
I'm saying his penis is very very small.
Nanoscopic, in fact. This man has a nanoscopic penis, literally, is the jist that you should derive from that statement about the diminutive nature of his sexual organs.
In journalism they would refer to the minisculinity of his male member as 'the lead' or the hook. The central point of the text around which all of the other writing revolves and refers to.
So, key take away here: Teeny tiny peepee.

I think nano-tube tech should, in most cases, be able to get encapsulated in an bio-inert carrier material. We've spent a lot of time building structures inside other stuff (endotaxy vs epitaxy)

Lattice structure? Contaminent atoms!

Sorry - I love me some chemistry - haven't heard those words since college.

And it recharges when you tear down power lines.
I want to punch a tank to death.
Oh, and what's with those toy helicopters that only fly for like three minutes? Fix that, too.
