Remember the KISS song BETH?
Whatever happened to her? Did she hear him calling?
What can we do, Beth? What can we fucking do?!?!

Who knew Gene Simmons was a closet conservative?
Also... I think that's Joe F'n Perry on guitar.
An out of the closet conservative.

21 Fabulous.
Who knew Gene Simmons was a closet conservative?
There ain't nothing closeted about Gene Simmons. If you ever listened to him being interviewed or watch his reality show then you'd know he's a Ted Nugent conservative.

Divisive and jingoistic appeals to emotion like this make me pee.

And God Bless Gene Simmons. A poor Israeli kid who made good in the US. Thanks for giving back.
Not to mention he hooked up with Shannon Tweed. If I had a nickel for every time I rubbed one out to her in a Cinemax After Dark movie in the 80's I'd own half of Silicon Valley.
Posted by: Blazer at May 31, 2010 04:14 PM (t72+4)
lol, I wondered when Simmon's better half would be mentioned.

That bullet-proof hair Simmons has must be pretty high-maintenance.

I find it rather fetching.

He's also probably one of the greatest self promoters out there. And definitely an unrepentant capitalist. If he can stick his face or the KISS name on the label you can damn sure bet he's going to do it.

I was so getting sick of those stupid pavlovian bells for every stupid damned thing that came down the pike....after a while....you ignored them and it was a joke and then you really did miss "breaking news"...real "breaking news"..

Guess who may be getting ready to go from the socialist model of healthcare back to the private version of it due to overwhelming cost?
If you guessed Canada, you would be correct.
How many times did we here from the left during the push for nationalized healthcare that this was the model and example we should strive for?
Its up at Drudge if anyone wants to go have a look see.

Gene has a non-negotiable, zero-tolerance "no drugs and alcohol" contract he makes every performer sign before they work with him.

I once saw footage of an old interview of Gene in full KISS regalia during the 70's on the Mike Douglas Show. Anne Meara (wife and comedy partner of Jerry Stiller) was sitting beside him and said, "Under all that make-up and costume, I'm sure you're just a nice Jewish boy. Sorry, kid, you can't hide the hook [nose]."
Gene started laughing his ass off knowing she hit the nail on the head and he couldn't deny a single word she said.

He seems like a pretty cool dude.
Shannon Tweed's sister got her toe broken while getting a pedicure. (WTF lol)
Gene bought the salon and fired everybody.

Simmons sings some sort of hybrid of "Caissons" and the sooper ghey "Army song" for the Army (yeah, I know the Army song is based on Caissons).
God how I hate the wretched bastardization that is "the Army song". I honestly think there is some sort of subtle effort to destroy the Army by making it appear ridiculous. First it was the song, then it was the beret, then the ACU which is eventually going to have to be replaced by the multicam, and now the ASU to replace the dress greens. Is there no one working for the Department of the Army in DC with any sense of taste?

Last week was hectic, but exciting.
Mid week, Rich Abramson and I flew to meet our new potential partners in a venture that promises to change the way corporate America travels.
Then, I flew in to San Diego and SOPHIE and I went to visit the troops at CAMP PENDLETON. Our GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS tv crews came along. Soph and I went on a helicopter, sat in very tight quarters to video simulate tank battles, went into an amphibious assault vehicle (a tank that can go on land and in water) and actually did the Marine task hurdle course.
But the most memorable and heart wrenching part of our visit is when we visited the Long Beach Veteran's Hospital.
We met proud vets from WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam and the Iraqi War.
One thing each vet had in common, was humility. Not one of the vets touted themselves. Each had been wounded seriously, yet all said they would do it again.
Our Military men and women don't do it for fame, or money.
The least we can do, is look them in the eye and tell them what they did matters. No matter your political point of view.
Offer a Vet your seat on the train, offer them a cup of coffee. At the very least, thrust your arm forward and shake the hand of a HERO.

First to fight for the right
and to build the nation's might
As the Army goes rolling along
Proud of all we have done
fighting til the battle's won
as the Army goes rolling along.
For it's hi hi hey!
The Army's on its way
Count off your cadence loud and strong!
For where 'ere we go you always know that
the Army goes rolling along.
Other than that, it was a great tribute.
