— DrewM Not going away totally, just running back into the shadows.
"Consistent with what the internal reccomendations have been, each of the states are developing plans for reconstitution independence and self-sufficiency," said the official, citing ACORN's "diminished resources, damage to the brand, unprecedented attacks."The new organizations, he said "will be constituted under new banners and new bylaws and new governance," he said, consistent with the recommendations of an outside panel.
Much of the group's strength lay in its local chapters in places like New York, which appear to be continuing to operate as normal. New York's City Hall News reported today that the local group there had re-emerged under the name "New York Communities for Change."
They'll be a bit harder to ferret out and to tie together when one chapter does something awful (and you know they will) but the fact that they were forced into this is a great victory for Breitbart and company. A little over a year after seeing one of their kindred spirits settle into the White House, ACORN has had to run off and hide.
As always, vigilance is the key.

But still, the real problem is not ACORN specifically, it's the government's ability to funnel taxpayer money into leftist organizations.

Has everyone forgot about the billions of $$ ACORN and all it's sister organizations got from the Stimulus?
Make no mistake, the voter fraud apparatus of the Democrat party is alive and well and well-funded. It doesn't matter if they change their name or close some offices, 'ACORN' will still exist and thrive.

Maddogg's right. Small shakedown operations don't have the appearance of power that a national organisation like ACORN did.
Plan B is to put "hope" or "change" somewhere on their letterhead, so cities will know that they're Obama's chosen followers and therefore the people they need to appease.

This is why 2010 and the insertion of Tea Party-ists is so essential. The nation must purge these entities, and the standard GOP fare has failed miserably at this. It just hasn't had the nerve to attack out of fear of the PC police and the Legacy Media that feeds it.
Now is the time to strike. The Legacy Media is hemorrhaging customers and credibility and the current government does not have the consent of the governed. Now is when the tidal wave can be energized, the old guard pushed aside with momentum and stronger ideals. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Darrell Issa (R-CA) did some very good work investigating ACORN even before O'Keefe et al., so keep him around; but other "leaders" need to go.

Crack dealers and pimps will still get help from democrats in cheating taxes and setting up dummy businesses. And when the GOP tries to reform things, people will wind up disappearing. The dems know that if you keep all the hidden wheels greasy, there will be tons of parties deeply invested in more and more local democrats. That's why inner cities infected with community organizers are infected with murder, rape, drugs, whores, and poverty.
ACORN now goes under a bunch of different names, but the checks for the feds to pay for tax assistance, bad loans, fraud, that's easily updated. All we got was another glimpse of the way politics work in the crumbling cities of our country. but we already knew that. Unless Eric Holder investigated the organization in a timely fashion, sending ACORN leaders to prison, the shaming is really irrelevant. we're talking about people who are cool with child prostitition... They are IMMUNE to shaming.
I'm still grateful that Breitbart and O'Keefe are fighting the good fight, but it takes more than great journalism.

O/T but huge! From the CBO's website (via Hotair)
This morning the Obama Administration released a description of its health care proposal, and CBO has already received several requests to provide a cost estimate for that proposal. We had not previously received the proposal, and we have just begun the process of reviewing it—a process that will take some time, given the complexity of the issues involved. Although the proposal reflects many elements that were included in the health care bills passed by the House and the Senate last year, it modifies many of those elements and also includes new ones. Moreover, preparing a cost estimate requires very detailed specifications of numerous provisions, and the materials that were released this morning do not provide sufficient detail on all of the provisions. Therefore, CBO cannot provide a cost estimate for the proposal without additional detail, and, even if such detail were provided, analyzing the proposal would be a time-consuming process that could not be completed this week.
Where is the media outcry?

One thing you can do that always helps is to take pictures of the length of the line.
If the lines are shorter, email them to the GOP in your locality, so they legal team can use that information to fight efforts to keep polls open late (of course, this is in certain locations where fraud is more likely to occur). If the lines are really long and it's anywhere near poll closing, call the GOP operation so they can send a few lawyers or poll watchers and see what the fuck the problem is.
If you see anything weird, try to get the names and cell phone pics and write down times, dates, etc, and just email it in. Not to the election judges, but to the party.
When you vote, try to be familiar with proper judge procedure. Are they supposed to run your name against a list of people who already voted absentee? Are they supposed to check ID? If they don't do it, ask them why they didn't do it. Let them know you are paying attention and use their name. Write down discrepancies and send it in. Keep it neat, short, easy to read.
a lot of the fraud is facilitated by election judges in inner cities 'forgetting' to check absentee rolls or check lists or otherwise just making it a lot easier for fraud to occur. Everyone should be on the ball these days and if an election judge (often just a liberal kook, often just an honorable citizen) isn't doing the right thing, they should be asked about it.

Joe Stack's adult daughter, Samantha Bell, spoke to ABC's "Good Morning America" from her home in Norway. Asked during a phone interview broadcast Monday if she considered her father a hero, she said: "Yes. Because now maybe people will listen."

Has anyone given any thought to how many of the Election Laws MSNBC violates with it's one sided daily diatribe?
Obama went after the SCOTUS when they ruled against election laws limiting corporate contributions, based on the priviledged exemption of the corporate medias, of which the left has a monopoly in the big three networks. Fox news spins both directions on cable networks but still fails to reach large segments of the population in non-cable areas.
But MSNBC continues to control the dialogue for many Americans in favor of the DNC. They no longer even PRETEND to report news or be objective. They ARE "Air America" with no limitations.
So, WTF? How can they be forced into financial bankruptcy (to match the moral bankruptcy they've exhibited for years) any quicker?

And soon she'll feel a lot of hurtin'.
My friends, all think I'm weird;
I'll state my case of which I'm certain.
I've lived a life that's fowl -
I've fondled each and every avian.
And just, because of this,
Some people say, I am depraven.
Egrets? I've had a few,
But then again, too few to ration.
I did what I had to do
And plowed right through, no hesitation
I planned each bird encounter -
Each longing poke along the feathered,
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew,
When I bit off more than I could chew,
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way.
I've loved, I've laughed and cried,
I've had my fill - my share of birdies.
But now, as tears subside,
I feel it all so absurdly.
To think I did all that,
And may I say, not in a shy way -
Oh no. Oh no, not me.
I did it my way.
For what is a man? What has he got?
2 birds in the hand, is not a lot
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way.
Yes, it was my way.

So Arnold Schwarzenegger is going after the Tea Party. Well, California is kinda in a big hole and they can’t do anything about it, so you expect them to lash out at everyone. There’s really nothing anyone can do, so I’m starting to hear talk of secession– not from California itself, but from the federal government because if they could just plain get rid of California that would be at least one less liability to worry about. They figure they’ll just have a press conference with Arnold and it will seem he’s going along with it because no one can understand what he’s saying.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT: “We are here because California has announced it plans to secede.”
ARNOLD: “What? What are you saying? You are not doing the sense-making!”
FEDS: “We’ve decided that California’s position is too entrenched, so it will be a quagmire to fight and take it back.”
ARNOLD: “No! We surrender! You take us back!”
FEDS: “So we will no longer be involved with California, and they will be fully autonomous.”
ARNOLD: “No! This wrong! You are crazy person!”
FEDS: “Good luck, Nation of California. We’ll check up on you in ten years or so.”
ARNOLD: “What? Hear me now and understand me as soon as possible: We want back! Take us back! Or at least let me resign as governor and flee the state first!”

Much of the group's strength lay in its local chapters in places like New York, which appear to be continuing to operate as normal. New York's City Hall News reported today that the local group there had re-emerged under the name "New York Communities for Change."
UPDATE: A person familiar with the New York reorganization said the new group has a new board, including some relative outsiders, like an official at the union Workers United, Wilfredo Larancuent, as well as most of the old leadership.
Ben Smith thinks a union hack from Workers United a relative outsider.

I also found it very enjoyable. I also didn't find it was trying to relay any specific historic facts.
It mixes and matches history with fantasy. Unfortunately, most of the kids these days get their history from movies. In other words, they know no history, they know a lot of stuff that didn't happen though. I'm most irritated by movies that were "inspired ty the true story". Translation: Nothing in this movie has anything to do with any true story.

"Oscar winning actress Susan Sarandon has had a bad time of it lately. The actress recently separated from her long time partner, actor Tim Robbins. Sarandon attended the third anniversary of The Box in New York's Lower East Side.A
A transsexual cabaret performer named Rose Wood engaged in projectile vomiting on stage and hit Sarandon with it .
Standing nearby were Scarlett Johansson and Liev Schreiber.
According to Wood it was not intended as an affront to the actress and she didn't take it that way.
'Apparently [Sarandon] got a big kick out of it. She squealed with surprise and loved it when several handsome gentlemen wiped it off of her. She had a ball! I saw her assistant downstairs afterward, and he was moved by it! She was in great spirits,' Wood told the New York Press."

Man caught having sex with table gets 6 months
Police say on March 13, the tipster dropped off three DVDs which showed Price in the act. On four occasions, Price is seen naked and masturbating in the rear room near the open doorway; he then comes out to the deck. He tilts the metal round picnic table on its side and lays up against it and has sexual intercourse with the table. Afterwards he cleans the table and the deck.

Yep, conservatives just heard what they wanted to hear about Scott Brown. He said his mentor is McCain, crossing the aisle to pass legislation so long as it doesn't duplicate Mitt's State Care, doubling Massachusetts health care taxes that have already doubled since Mitt signed his package into law. But Brown's constituents want government projects like the clunker car rebates. So when it comes to things like Stimulus Bail-Outs or fraudulent Job Bills, Brown predicted his sentiment to vote with the progressive socialist bipartisan GOP.
Remember that Romney promised to merge industry with government in order to produce "good jobs in America" his last month of campaigning in 2008. It isn't as if Brown is voting so differently than Mitt promised to lobby Congress had he won office.

I was laughing cause the guy sorta just didn't sit right with Beck and everyone jumped all over Beck for his screaming about not being able to jump on the Scott Brown train. I remember posting here that I felt as though Coakley was practically throwing the election to Brown and it made me uncomfortable. These are formidable foes. They managed to trick top notch republicans (mitt and rudy) into running their candidate with their letter next to the name and having the conservatives/republicans come out in force to support said candidate and look, it's truly a hollow victory. While the republicans/conservatives were celebrating the guy and his truck, the dems/libs who deliberately stayed home in droves must have had a great time sipping their champagne and laughing out loud.

I have not been following this too closely but didn't Reid have a bi partisan bill that the republicans were happy with and then when he sent it to the WH that group said "no way, that's not what WE want" so Reid then threw out all the bi partisan work and brought back his own bill? So then Brown didn't even question where the bi partisan bill was, he simply caved. Doesn't feel right to me, there are no accidents with this bunch. This is planned like a war and the republicans and conservatives don't even realize it.
