— Slublog The need to protect Obama from bad press has brought out the inner poet in government officials. Another miracle in the age of Obama.
The Labor Department reported Thursday that first-time requests for jobless benefits rose 24,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 484,000, the highest level since late February. Economists were predicting claims would fall.George W. Bush, take heart. You're no longer the villain who ruined the economy. The real culprit? It marked the second week that claims took an unexpected leap. In the prior week, claims rose 18,000 to 460,000.
A government analyst, however, cautioned against reading too much into both weeks' figures, saying they were clouded by seasonal adjustment difficulties related to the Easter holiday, which falls on different weeks each year.
The Easter Bunny.
To paraphrase Howie Carr, first they blamed the snow. Then the rain. Now it's the innocent Easter Bunny. I wonder what the excuse will be for April's numbers? Maybe people were too busy looking for the May flowers to find work? Hmmmm..."seasonal adjustment difficulties related to garden preparation." It has potential. Get on it, unnamed government analysts!

Here's the problem. The Dim "faithful", ie not relying upon facts, but blind "faith", have increased from approx 33% to 40%. If the Dims stand them up for election, regardless, Hitler, Atilla, Mao, this group will pull the lever.
This "group" steadily increases in numbers every day. The "graduates" of our "schooling" system/indoctrination, and the ever increasing number of illegals, primarily from Mexico. If you don't think they vote, you live in la la land.
It will get worse, ie illegals. At the turn of the 20th century, civil strife/war was well and good in Mexico. Pancho Villa? This turmoil created a mass exodus from Mexico to the USA. Most "Mexicans", regularized or not, can trace their heritage to this group of "emigres". NOT Mexicans living in areas soon to be part of the USA. NOT illegals since.
All the violence south of our border. Here comes the next wave. On top of all the illegals already - mouth-to-govt-teat, here.
mmm mmm mmm
The Dims' plan for a "permanent" majority.

"Spring Holiday" falls on a different Sunday each year. It get's all confusing and shit. Not to mention we all know that Sunday is the very best day to go look for work and that employers always interview on Sunday.

Technically, the bunny symbol came first on the calender (it's a Babylonian symbol for fertility) that got associated with the Christian Easter due to the weird fusion of religious festivals that occurred in the early Church.

saying they were clouded by seasonal adjustment difficulties related to the Easter holiday
Technically, they weren't blaming the Easter Bunny but certain things about the Easter holiday. Allow me to elucidate:
The first and most obvious difficulty related to the Easter holiday isn't the schedule but the fact that it celebrates a different Messiah. Sure, he brought the dead back to life once, not counting his own resurrection. But our new messiah has brought health care to 1.7 billion Americans in the last two months alone. So let's rule out Easter altogether.
Could it really, then, be the variable scheduling of the holiday we're now calling Saturnalia? Perhaps. We'll therefore dispense with all Saturn-related observances: We'll call the holiday "Easter" (after the Bunny), the seventh day of the week is now Caturday (of course) and if there's a consumer product named after Saturn, we'll mess with the parent company so much that the subsidiary won't stand a chance.
Blame Saturn. (FIFY'ed it for you.)

"Eostre" was a Norse goddess, and the Norse calendar named their months after their gods, just as our current calendar names our months after Roman gods, for the most part. "Eostre monath" was roughly equivalent to the month of April in the Norse calendar, so the Christian celebration of the Resurrection got the nickname of the month in which it was generally celebrated.
"OMG EASTER IS A PAGAN HOLIDAY!!!1!!1!!" is roughly akin to saying "OMG THE FOURTH OF JULY IS ABOUT JULIUS CAESAR!!!!1!11!!"
It's muttered by the retards, the psychologically and spiritually infirm, and young people with less understanding of history and religion than their ability to even describe a clitoris. In other words, Democrats.

June? New graduates affect the numbers adversely.
July? First the 4th, then the heat from summer driving away workers until late August.
August/September? People preparing for back-to-school don't have time to look for work.
October? Halloween has to be at least as bad as Easter.
Then we're back into the Holiday slump through January and the Snow/Rain problems until we get back around to Easter.
Weird, the entire year has problems for employment; but the recession didn't start until recently... did we change the calender or holidays or something?
I blame the Gregorian Monks... and Jesus for this disappointing and economically unfeasible Calender they've foisted off on Obama to make him look bad.

Obama: "You'd think they'd say thank you."
13 Trillion Dollars in debt. Thank you very much, Asshole.

Let me tell you something about the Tea Party rallies. For every person who shows up, there are 200 who wished they were there.
If Obama thinks he can't treat over half the people as some fringe group, he's in for a big fucking surprise, that arrogant low-life rabble-rousing race-pimping fraud.

Yup, and it's because of a 3 letter word, J-O-B-S!

I was just discussing how aggressive one had to be to advocate for old people in the hopitals and nursing homes with the two gay lib guys across the street. I said that my sister waits for me to come to yell at people-she's non-confrontational. One of them said, "Oh, is she a liberal?" I said, "NOT ANY MORE, BWAHAHAHAH".
I enjoyed that.

It's true, rn.
When I asked the bus driver what train to take to get to the Boston Common, yesterday, he said, "Are you going to the rally?"
I said yep, and he said, "I wish I was going."

This is becoming a parody. We have holidays and weather and shit. That's the normal.
Your economic policies have made the recession drag on. Your estimates of it being fixed were badly off.
there's no way to rehabilitate that.

I wish it was a parody...a SNL skit, a page from The Onion. It's not. It's what is actually happening. Just wait til The Joker and The Penguin get in the act too. Cry for your country. This is no country for patriots.

Well, don't look at me! Being VP means never having to do any heavy lifting! (Or much of anything else). Besides, washing out that chronic taste of old leather in my mouth is a full time job, believe me!

Wow, Dynomutt, that's cool. Aren't most bus drivers unionized? That's huge. I bet he was white, though--just kidding! And gosh, I didn't realize my sock was see-through! (Blushes!)

You're thanking me for that? You're welcome but...sick dude, lol.

MBTA bus drivers? Hells yeah they're unionized.
Most trade unions and shops who employ people who do some sort of job that requires skill and/or responsibility have members that don't cotton to bleeding heart liberal-onomics.
It's the unskilled union members who are the parasites. Municipal workers, for instance. Or hotel workers who have shitty jobs and are resentful for their low pay. A lot of these people are, well, lowlifes, who are barely legal residents or layabouts who are only fit to vacuum a carpet. In other words, the dregs you find at SEIU.

Is that the alternate universe in which Fred Thompson bothered to show up and campaign
The universe you live in is so bizzare, that people think that not starting two years ahead of time equals no fire in the belly.

Well, didn't Pelosi say (under Bush's failed policies) America was shedding 500 million jobs a month?
So, only 484,000 jobs last week should be Good news.
