— DrewM That was some 100% USDA Grade A groveling.
A couple of news bits....
Vilsack offered Sherrod a promotion. She's thinking about it. Heh.
Sherrod had information that this was coming out and warned the department leadership in an email. And yet...they still managed to foul it up. They are saying they acted hastily but they had advanced knowledge of the event. Most competent administration EVAH.
White House liaison office knew what was going on but he claims the decision to fire her was his and his alone. Right.
The left spent 8 years telling us how officials need to be held accountable and people fired. So, when is Vilsack getting under the damn bus?
Kind of related: Remember when firing political appointees was a scandal requiring criminal investigation? Yeah, no charges will be filled in the 'case' of the Bush era firing of US Attorneys. Who could have seen that coming?

Awesome. Only a public employee can be a straight up bigot, show it for the world to see, and get a promotion.

Yeah, I subscribe to the "where there's smoke there's fire" thing re Sherrod. I don't think a senior administrator would let themselves get pushed out if she knew her background the USDA was squeaky clean.

You don't have to see her personnel file to HEAR she's a bigot.
Sure,. some argue she's 'redeemed' herself (see, ace in last night's post). I call bullshit on that. She's still out there talking about the have/have not's even when she's (allegedly) moved past (snort!) her racial issues.
But sure, go ahead and review her entire record. God knows what other fuck-up is just waiting in the wing.

What organization was she working for when this happened?
If it's anything like IL, those organizations often get taxpayer monies, and are subject to some governmental oversight.
In that case, the woman is guilty of the charge Breitbart leveled against her. In which case, no, she shouldn't get her job back, let alone a promotion.

Yeah sure, on top of the money she got in that lawsuit, not to mention her already large government salary, now she may get a promotion.
I believe that we have more than paid our debt in restitution to her for how she and her ancestors were treated by our kind. Feel free to call me a bitch for saying so, but I think this woman has lived off white guilt quite well and I have very little sympathy for her. If she had balls, she would've ridden the storm instead of resigning.
And it irks me that this is now being pushed as "the White House fired her." Well, they leaned on her sure, but they didn't fire her, she chose to resign. Her choice. And now she gets a payday.
Yeah, hooray, it shows how inept the White House is. Well, I believe the evidence of that fact has been shown time and time again but what good does it do? They are still in charge.

Servant -- something that these bureaucrats should be reminded of.
They have plenty of grounds to fire her. They're going to regret this, she is not "post-racial" and has a platform now. She's already letting out her inner resentful bitch.

1. The USDA
2. The Dept. of Interior
3. Sec. of Interior Chu
For racial discrimination, against White farmers, in the Central Valley, to make in Chu's words "agriculture in California dry up and blow away" ... with the hiring of the racist, White-hating Sherrod as proof positive of a pattern and practice of anti-White discrimination of the Obama Administration. With a cherry on top of the New Black Panthers, and other anti-White racial biases by the Obama Administration.
With deposition after deposition, public hearing in court after public hearing in court, including deposing Obama himself, on his own appointments and policies against Whites.
Why not?

63 No, but they may touch her bosses after rehiring her.
I asked about where she was working when this incident that started it all happened, because (having worked with and interviewed for a bit of a similar job with the USDA) most of the agencies do work directly with the USDA office in their county or region; the USDA field workers have a lot of oversight on those groups...kinda like ACORN yes, but perhaps even moreso.
There is no way that the USDA did not know this woman's track record prior to hiring her; in fact, they probably hired her because of it. The mission statement at the USDA offices at the state level are very revealing.

1966 Kwame Ture, had become head of SNCC, advocated revolutionary violence to overthrow oppression, used 'black power', denounced the whites who had supported SNCC in the past
1967 Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin (H Rap Brown) became head of SNCC and supported violence, indited or inciting a riot in 1967, arrested in 1968.
And as others here have pointed out, it's swell that she got past her racial resentment, but it's a shame that she merely replaced it with class resentment.
Had I been an 'Eagle Scout' the year it morphed into the Aryan Youth, I would not be be putting it on my resume 40 years later.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac go down on the farm?
This strikes home for me, because I've seen a lot of farmers lose their farms and have to sell out to big conglomerates...there didn't seem to be the money available to help them out. I'm not keen on farm subsidies, but most of the time it isn't the small guys that get very much of that -- unless they are a certain color it appears. Same with grants. Yeah. Don't be pushy! Oops. I mean...
Don't be pushy.

It's still about black and white. Now I've scored an even sweeter gig and I can stick it to the rich blue-eyed devils. I'll toss whitey a bone if he's poor enough.
You should thank me.

she is a millionaire
(or at least she was, as a result of her reparations lawsuit). And we know that millionaires are evil. Evil, I tell you!

First time I saw this video, I thought Sherrod was related.

If the government has a job, it needs to be filled by fair and open competition, not as a political favor.

I cried myself to sleep last night about the future of my life and this country. I honestly think that we are either not going to recover or we're going to need a revolution. When the left can lie, lie, lie without proof and the media and public believe them it's bad. When the right can bring forth a video that shows blatant racism on the left then gets smacked down by their own people, what faith do I have left? I just don't know anymore. I really don't.

89 What a delight watching Glenn Beck dismember the WH over this. He is both brilliant, entertaining, and funny. I do not remember anyone ever that can connect the dots like Beck. He needs to be the face of Fox news instead of the tiresome "Looking out for the folks," O'Reilly. No wonder the WH is terrified of this guy, he has their number, and the number of all their enablers. Beck needs some good bodyguards. If I have the ability I am going to the 8/28 D.C. hookup being sponsored by Beck.
Jehu, your post shows the lack of your intelligence. His ONLY interest is in making big bucks. Research his past. He is taking you and others like you look like fools. He's a hustler appealing to the uneducated. Maybe you should enroll in Glenn Beck University for $9.95 a month. It started July 7th .
Sweeeet.
