Here is Obama/Dem's Rallying point (study) for passage of CLEAN WATER RESTORATION ACT
Earth’s Rivers in ‘Crisis State,’ Report ConcludesThe world's rivers are in crisis, which could have a dire impact on the 5 billion people who live near them and rely on them for freshwater, as well as the thousands of species that call them home, a new study finds
...
The new findings on the threats facing Earth's rivers come from the first global-scale initiative to quantify the impact of these stressors on humans and riverine biodiversity. The research team produced a series of maps documenting the influence of numerous types of threats to water quality and aquatic life across the world's river systems.
...
"Flowing rivers represent the largest single renewable water resource for humans," said team member Charles J. Vörösmarty of the City University of New York. "What we've discovered is that when you map out these many sources of threat, you see a fully global syndrome of river degradation."\
"What made our jaws drop is that some of the highest threat levels in the world are in the United States and Europe," McIntyre said. "Americans tend to think water pollution problems are pretty well under control, but we still face enormous challenges."
One of the project's goals is to support international protocols to be used for water system protection.

Grayson swamped Keller in Orange County, where 2/3rds of the population for FL's 8th District resides, during the 2008 election. Pres Pissypants won that area by 18 points, undoubtedly lifting Grayson.
The Dem turnout shouldn't be that high this year, and I think Keller is above Grayson by several points.

This is part of the EPA myth that waters are all polluted. Some water shows traces of E-coli from wild animals then it is polluted. But the majority of the rivers and streams on the list are listed as polluted because the States refuse to do the EPA's sampling and testing which was one of those "unfunded mandates from DC". The courts ruled that the fed couldn't force them to do it so the EPA retailiates by carrying those rivers and streams as "polluted".
It justifies their existence. As I have sai in the past, day 3 EPA buget written, zero dollars..

Here is Obama/Dem's Rallying point (study) for passage of CLEAN WATER RESTORATION ACT: Earth’s Rivers in ‘Crisis State,’ Report Concludes
This proves my fear (Do yourself a favor and read this entire article.):
As the calendar rushes toward the November 2nd elections, prospects increase for a bloody “lame-duck” session. ... Democrats who lost will have nothing further to lose, and will be eager to get as much of Obama’s radical agenda enacted as possible
Lurking in the shadows is Senator Chris DoddÂ’s Liveable Communities Act (S-1619).
The Dodd bill brings down the heavy-hand of government to force communities to conform. The implementation of Dodd’s “livable” or sustainable communities forces the loss of individual freedom, serious reduction of private property rights, and the erosion of a free market in real estate.
Senator FeingoldÂ’s Clean Water Restoration Act
(S-787) is high on the priority list for passage. This bill would give
to the federal government virtually every drop of water that falls on
the United States to the federal government, regardless of whether it
winds up in a river, a lake, a stream, a wetland, a prairie pothole, a
mudhole, or backyard fish pond on private property.
Moreover, the bill also gives to the federal government authority to control all activity that may affect these waters, whether the activity occurs on private or public property.

Well if you want to compare naturally occurring stream and river water with grade A industrial pure water; sure it has all sorts of "pollutants" in it, silica, NaCl, Fe, O2, CaCO3, CaMg(CO3)2 typically trace amounts of toxic heavy metals gathered from rocks including Pb, and Hg, naturally occurring e-coli Escherichia coli and various other forms of micobial life some of which can be extremely dangerous such as Clostridium botulinum and Salmonella, trace amounts sugar hydrocarbons, and suspension contaminates of various makeup colloquially referred to as "dirt". The EPA can easily declare every naturally occurring fresh water source on the planet potentially toxic. It just shows their level of insanity and lack of proportion.

RCP backing up my "rosy" mapping.
Currently, there are 37 Democrat-held seats as pure tossups.
32 already lost to the Republicans
another 30 seats considered vulnerable
another 18 just "likely" Dem holds- several of which just recently came online.
They fail to include AZ-7 where pollng now shows a 7 point race in an unthinkably hispanic (and "SAFE" race) congressional seat.
IL-9 where Joel Pollak has Jan Sjhfajkdff spinning
NY-4 and NY-22 which just got bumped down from solid by Charlie Cook
all told that would bring us to 121 out of 255 democrats at slight to likely list of losing their seats.
RCP says 117 seats at least somewhat vulnerable to flipping, but 99 of them are VERY vulnerable.
Party like its 1994 1894

Thanks, and congrats to you two, too! I think many women make the mistake of thinking that "romantic" means "he speaks pretty words while looking at me adoringly". Engineers usually don't do the pretty word thing too well, and they also tend to focus on their work (instead of their lady) for hours and hours. Therefore they can come across as "unromantic" -- but (1) there's more than one way to be romantic, and (2) "unromantic" does not equal "unloving".
Ladies, your engineer may express his love in many ways: Doing the laundry, fixing things that break (like your computer), taking you someplace beautiful (like the mountains or the beach) where Nature can say what he can't say, paying the vet bill for your sick cat, coming with you to the car mechanic so you won't feel intimidated. Engineers engineer. They interact with their world, and you, primarily by doing. So don't sweat it if no flowers or mushy cards appear on Valentine's Day! Just take your engineer to bed and enjoy his T-Rex-like (or at least Allosaurus-like) attributes. ;-)

FORMER SENATOR RUSS FEINGOLD.
RASMUSSEN-
JOHNSON 53%
FEINGOLD 41%
DO
NOT
DOUBT ME.
5 now LIKELY Republican pickups- AR,ND,IN,WI,PA
3 leaning that way- CO,WV,IL
Delaware was a FANTASTIC distraction. The Dems thought we lost our shot at the senate, and in the meantime WI,WV,CT,NV,CO,IL, and NY-B have moved further in our favor.

Emanuel's replacement Pete Rouse from wiki:
Overall, Rouse has worked on Capitol Hill for more than 30 years, since 1971. According to Amy Sullivan (Washington Monthly), Rouse came to be known as "the 101st Senator" thanks to his knowledge and skills.
He is a 1968 graduate of Colby College, a graduate of the London School of Economics, and is a 1977 graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School, where he received a Master of Public Administration.
Rouse helped prepare a memo, "The Strategic Plan," for Obama's first year in the Senate. Helping Obama navigate Senate politics and yet remain an outsider, Rouse worked with Obama and Senator Russell Feingold on strengthening ethics reform legislation. Similarly, he suggested that Obama speak with Senators Edward M. Kennedy and Joseph I. Lieberman in the early stages of exploring his presidential candidacy.
Rouse also is credited with persuading Obama to vote against the nomination of John G. Roberts, Jr., who is now Chief Justice of the United States.
Rouse had worked since 1985 for Daschle, whom he met as a fellow llegislative assistant for Senator James Abourezk.
He is a 1968 graduate of Colby college, a graduate of the london school of economics, and is a 1977 graduate of the harvard kennedy school, where he received a master of public administration.

Hey wingnuts:
Rendell Says GOP Taken Over By "Radicals."
We Get All Sorts Of Mail ...
... here at Capitol Ideas World HQ. Among our many correspondents is the Democratic Governors Association. And though we tend to just ignore the torrents of propaganda that flow through such e-mails,our hand was stayed from the delete key this morning because the author was one Ed Rendell his ownself.
Thus, we decided to share it with you -- the loyal Capitol Ideas reading audience. Note how Rendell tries to overcome the now-fabled Democratic enthusiasm gap
That's right, I said it ... the Republican Party is slowly but surely being taken over by radicals.
Just look at the primary election results across America. Everywhere you turn, there's a (somewhat) reasonable Republican moderate getting dumped in favor of a fringe Tea Party extremist. These new Republicans want to cripple government regulatory agencies and services, and are pushing a truly radical agenda -- some actually harbor absurd conspiracy theories about our President.
As the GOP deals with its identity crisis, Democrats have a real opportunity! The contrast between the angry and, at times, even irrational Republican agenda and the Democratic values we've fought for together all these years is precisely the conversation we want to have with voters.

My husband and I took Krav Maga together. It was great. He got to choke me and I got to hit him in the groin (he got to wear cup). He's not sure it was a good idea though. Now when he corners me in the kitchen he's got a grappling match on his hands instead of just a groping session. I think it's fun.

38 hmm, yeah...It's probably more than likely coming sometime after the election (that's my bet); after which a lot of things will likely become moot.
I very much hope that I am very wrong and foolish.
