— Slublog At least, that's what I think he's saying here. Hard to tell, as his somewhat meandering statement also mentions coal miners, "American Idol" and the workings of the Rules Committee.
Personally, I thought 'YouCut' was a fun idea, if a bit gimmicky. Still, it's jarring to hear a member of Congress refer to those who participated as "so-called" Americans. It's too bad the Democrats weren't as concerned about potential foreign participation in our political process when Obama's...er...lax protocols on donations allowed his campaign to rake in an unknown amount of cash from overseas.
Also, as DrewM notes in an email, isn't it a bit ironic to have a congressman who is an impeached federal judge lecture the rest of us on morality?

My Aunt Esther with Alzheimers is "somewhat meandering". This guy is incomprehensible. It's a miracle the people who bribed him could figure out what he wanted.

In 1981, Hastings was charged with accepting a $150,000 bribe in exchange for a lenient sentence and a return of seized assets for 21 counts of racketeering by Frank and Thomas Romano, and of perjury in his testimony about the case. He was acquitted by a jury after his alleged co-conspirator, William Borders, refused to testify in court (resulting in a jail sentence for Borders). In 1988, the Democratic-controlled U.S. House of Representatives took up the case, and Hastings was impeached for bribery and perjury by a vote of 413-3. He was then convicted in 1989 by the United States Senate, becoming the sixth federal judge in the history of the United States to be removed from office by the Senate. The vote on the first article was 69 for and 26 opposed, providing two votes more than the two-thirds of those present that were needed to convict.

Bernard Sansaricq, a good friend of Col. Allen West, is running against Hastings in November. It's one of the most Dem gerrymandered districts in the country, but anything's possible. Send donations, well wishes, etc. to www.sansaricq4congress.org.

This asshole should be playing bitch for bubba, not 'lecturing' us while he serves in Congress.

It is a common verbal trope among semi-literate southern blacks to use "so-called" as a derogation. It's one of those that tells more about the speaker than the subject.

Congress should have prevented him from future federal employment but didn't for some reason.
Congress should have prevented from ANY future employment, period, with the exception of a years long stint making license plates.

Heh, from Kemp's link:
In online chat rooms, his handle was Roaring Virile Fire. He organized and engaged in at least 18 orgies, most of them in the two-bedroom apartment in Nanjing where he lived with his mother, according to prosecutors.
WTF! Dude's mom was like Norman Bates's mom--only way she could be oblivious to all the commotion!

"If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention. Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."

Fuck, let's admit it: ALL OPPOSITION TO SPENDING CUTS IS BECAUSE POLS DEPEND ON THE CORRUPTION INHERENT IN GOVERNMENT SPENDING. They're thieves -- we just happen to have Alcee on record as taking bribes.

Wow - that is jackassery supreme. Over the top even for the Libtard trash. They do that to their own detriment - eventually that kind of thing drives a person mad. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. Not that I think the Right in America would ever go on a minority killing frenzy - but we might be driven to declare open season on Leftist duchebags one day if they keep this up.

I really think there should be a short "moral values" test for voting. Questions like, "Do you think corruption is okay in a congressman?" "Should a president be able to commit perjury without any penalty?" "Should politicians be able to keep any bribes they can get?" Stuff like that.
